AN: 100 word KakaIru drabble. Just something to pass the time while I avoid typing up the second part of searching. Which, while on the subject, will be up later today I suppose.

Iruka was a chuunin who enjoyed teaching. Kakashi was a jounin who couldn't understand why a man as skilled as Iruka hadn't risen in rank. Iruka said it was because he liked the kids. Kakashi said it was because he was scared. Iruka said he wasn't scared. Kakashi said he was, he was afraid of dying. Iruka just laughed. He was not afraid of dying, he said, not at all. On the contrary, he was afraid of watching someone else die. Kakashi said he understood and leaned down to brush a cloth covered kiss across Iruka's cheek. Iruka just blushed and left to teach his next class the basics of living.
