Hello Fanfiction. Time for chapter 2 of the story. It is time to cover the first of the Dawn episodes in Journeys. Expect Lillie to be a little nervous around Dawn. Thank god this show is on Netflix it helped much with getting the dialogue. Also, ASH WON AGAINST LEON! That saves me some stress not having to completely rewrite the battle so Ash would win. Also, RIP to Kevin Conroy (The Motherfucking Batman). My heart goes out to his friends, family, and co-workers. With all that out of the way Let's Get Started:

Nightfall? Nightmares!: Lillie confronts a part of her nightmare!
It was 10:00 AM when Ash, Pikachu, and Lillie arrived at The Cerise Laboratory. Chloe and Goh came out to greet them. After introductions were made (with Chloe and Goh's jaws dropping that Ash and Lillie were a couple.) Chloe turned to Lillie hoping to confirm her suspicions. "Can I speak to you in private?"
Lillie was nervous, but Ash put his hand on her shoulder calming Lillie down. Lillie took a deep breath and nodded following Chloe. Once they were out of Ash and Goh's hearing range, Chloe turned to Lillie. "So I have to ask why were you so nervous when we first met."
Lillie took another deep breath and explained the nightmare to Chloe, whose eyes were wide in horror at what this girl and Ash had to go through in the dream. No wonder she looked so nervous. That nightmare would terrify anybody, especially someone with a crush. "I take it that Mrs. Ketchum shot down your worries."
Lillie nodded, "Yep and I am so relieved about it."
Chloe smiled, "I can imagine how relieved you are. You looked kind of like a zombie no offense."
Lillie while a little offended understood. " I understand, I had very little to no sleep, and I was afraid I would see even worse things from that dark dark dream."
Chloe took a breath. "I can't believe my counterpart did nothing. Although considering the Alolans threatened war with Kanto if Professor Oak didn't hand over all of Ash's Pokemon, I don't even wanna think what they would do to dad's lab if I did help."
Lillie understood Chloe's concern. "I can understand that. I owe Ash so much, he helped me get a good night's sleep after that horrible dream, and that's not even getting into how he helped me while he was in Alola." Chloe nodded and the two girls returned to Ash and Goh.
Lillie was quickly able to integrate herself into life at the lab. Ash decided to help Lillie with some training just in case the nightmare turned out to exist in another dimension, (Bringing up Refection Cave and how he ended up in an alternate dimension.) Lillie agreed 100%. Ash called Professor Oak and had Glalie transferred over to help teach Snowy Ice Beam.
3 Days Later with Glalie's tutoring plus Lillie and Ash's encouragement, Snowy had mastered Ice Beam. Lillie's Ride Altaria also learned Aerial Ace, Steel Wing, and Dragon Pulse with help from Ash's Swellow and Gible respectively.
Meanwhile, Lusamine and Gladion were searching for Lillie. They called Alola and they had heard nothing. Gladion's Pokémon had searched for Lillie wherever they went but they found nothing. Lusamine was a nervous wreck. "Lillie, why did you run off? Where did you run off to?"
Lillie had no idea how worried her mother and brother were. She was enjoying spending time with her new boyfriend. She had no more nightmares. She was happy with how much progress she had made with her Pokémon. She also had a good relationship with Chloe. Her relationship with Goh was a little shaky due to his dream counterpart's actions toward Ash in the nightmare, but it was getting better and better with Chloe's help.
Speaking of, Chole was ecstatic about having another girl her age to talk to. It felt especially good as Lillie never asked her: Are you gonna be a researcher like your dad? It felt so refreshing not to hear that question. She was also happy as the school year had just ended, meaning summer vacation. Chloe was looking forward to the family vacation as she rushed home. Chloe was stunned to see Lillie and Snowy, not with Ash.
Lillie, why are you here alone?
"Oh, Ash and Goh are off hunting for Darkrai. It's a Pokémon that specializes in nightmares."
Chloe nodded in understanding. "You want to stay away from THAT as much as possible," referring to her new best friend's recent nightmare.
Lillie nodded, "You've got that right. I just got back to a healthy sleep schedule. I don't need a Darkrai messing that up." Chloe nodded in understanding.
Chloe and Lillie arrived at the laboratory. Professor Cerise greeted them. "Hello, Lillie." He turned to his daughter. "Welcome back, Chloe. You're back early today."
Chloe nodded, "Yeah! Today was just the end-of-term ceremony and summer vacation advice." Her father and Lillie nodded in understanding. Suddenly Ren, one of the staff members of the laboratory came running out.
"Professor, the data checks on the eggs are all complete," Ren said.
Professor Cerise was happy to hear that. "Excellent, then I'll be in a second."
Chloe decided to take this chance to leave and head to the family's home. "Then I'm going home. Eevee let's go." Eevee happily followed her trainer. "and Dad, I can't wait for our family vacation."
Once Chloe and Eevee were out of sight, Professor Cerise's eyes widened in horror. Lillie placed a hand on her forehead in exasperation. "You forgot to tell her about the change of plans didn't you?" The professor's expression told Lillie that that was the case. "Oh boy, wouldn't want to be you right now. You know she was looking forward to that family vacation." Cerise put his face in his hands. He knew he was in trouble.
1 hour later Cerise and Lillie entered the Cerise household and Cerise broke the news to Chloe who was understandably upset.
"NO VACATION WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?"
"Well, you see, we took a delivery of some eggs at the lab and they need to be taken care of," Cerise told his daughter rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "I'm afraid I just can't leave right now."
Chloe asked why couldn't Chrysa and Ren handle it. Her father explained that he wanted to make sure that the eggs hatched right, and to show them what was in his heart. Chloe's mother then revealed that she got an important illustration job so she couldn't go either further upsetting Chloe. It only got worse when Parker, her younger brother admitted that he was going to a summer camp with some of his friends, thanks to this new development leaving Chloe crushed that the vacation she was looking forward to had gone up in smoke.
Cerise suggested that Chloe could go to the Sinnoh region. Lillie tensed up and Chloe understood why. "Relax I won't be chasing after Darkrai." Lillie breathed a sigh of relief. Soon Chloe was packed. Unfortunately, she had overpacked and her desired suitcase was overflowing. Lillie suggested lighting the load and Chloe's mom came up with the solution. Soon Chloe, Lillie, Snowy, and Eevee were on a plane headed for Sinnoh. After a 4-hour flight, the girls arrived in Jubilife City.
"We're here, said an excited Chloe. Eevee mimicked its trainer's enthusiasm. Lillie was interested but was nervous with talks of Darkrai being around. Chloe rubbed the nervous girl's back. "Don't worry everything will be fine. Worst-case scenario you get to spend another night sleeping with your boyfriend," she said with a sly smirk.
Lillie blushed crimson, "CHLOE!"
Chloe laughed, "sorry sorry couldn't resist." Lillie pouted at the teasing of her new best friend. While she enjoyed the night she slept with Ash, she did not want to make a habit out of it at least until they were married. (If they got that far she thought)
Soon the girls and their Pokemon were traveling. One boy tried to challenge Chloe to a battle but she ran away, due to her nerves and lack of battle experience, for both her and Eevee. Lillie rushed after her.
"There must be a tourist center somewhere, Chloe said to Lillie who shrugged her shoulders as she had never been to Sinnoh. Suddenly the girls heard a TV program.
"Today's featured guest is a legendary Pokemon coordinator whose Pokemon have won contest after contest, Johanna welcome." The girls turned and Lillie's eyes widened. Chloe turned to Lillie in shock.
"You know her?"
"Yep, Ash said that one of his friend's mother was a big Pokemon Contest star." Both girls continued to watch the interview, learning that there would be a Pokemon Contest in Eterna City. Both Eevee and Snowy wagged their tails excited about the news. Lillie bent down to their level. "Do you want to see it?" Both Pokemon jumped up and down repeatedly, with Chloe and Lillie deciding to check it out.
The girls went to the nearest bus stop and found that the next bus to Eterna City was an hour away. Eevee being so full of energy started walking away from the bus stop. "Wait you want to walk there?" Chloe was stunned at her Pokemon's actions, as were Snowy and Lillie. Eevee nodded and the four headed off.
Soon, after entering the forest, the group of four ran into a Starly. Chloe took out her Rotom Phone. Starly, the Starling Pokémon. A Normal and Flying type. Starly moves in large flocks. Its body may be small, but its wing muscles are extremely strong.
Unfortunately, Eevee's tendency to mimic Pokemon angered Starly and it called its flock to chase them. Lillie stepped up. "Chloe let Snowy and me handle this." Chloe and Eevee were confused and the confusion only increased when Lillie pulled out a ring and then a light blue colored crystal with a snowflake on it, from her pocket, and put it on her wrist placing the crystal into a slot on the ring. "Ready Snowy?" Snowy nodded.
Vulpix Vul (Ready Mommy)
After touching the crystal, Lillie did a series of poses (with Snowy doing poses of its own), Lillie began to chant: "Snow silently fluttering down from the heavens, Countless glimmering crystals of ice, O freezing Z that covers the land, Along with my heated soul, return now once more to the heavens!" Streams of blue lights flowed from the ring on Lillie's wrist and into Snowy, who let out a cry. "Subzero Slammer!" A mountain of ice formed under Snowy lifting the ice-type fox Pokemon into the air. Snowy let loose a powerful blue blast hitting the entire flock freezing them solid and also knocking them out.
Chloe and Eevee's jaws dropped at the massive display of power. "Lillie what was that," Chloe asked stunned that Lillie's cute little Vulpix had so much power.
That was a Z-move said Lillie who went on to explain in detail the process to obtain a Z-ring, and a Z-crystal ("Both of which are required to do a Z-move," Lillie explained,) and how to perform a z-move. She also explained that there was a Z-move for every type, plus some for specific Pokemon. Chloe and Eevee were in awe of the Alolan native. Lillie and Snowy are amazing, both Chloe and Eevee thought.
After Lillie finished explaining the explanation, the girls continued on their way. Unbeknownst to them 10 minutes later a young man with Purple hair, wearing a Grey, light, and dark purple sweatshirt, and grey sweatpants, and light and dark blue sneakers had seen the damage Snowy had done. "Well well well seems that there's a powerful ice-type around here, and if this is any indication it will be an excellent new team member or an interesting challenge." With this statement, the young man headed off to hopefully find the Pokemon responsible.
Meanwhile, Ash and Goh had no luck tracking down Darkrai who seemed to keep moving according to the Officer Jenny of Jubilife City.
Back in Kanto Jessie, James, and Meowth, (AKA the TRio) had been contacted by Matori, Giovanni's secretary, and the head of The Matori Matrix ordered them to track the Cresselia that had escaped her team down, telling them that the operation to capture Cresselia and Darkrai was a mission directly from Giovanni and that its success would greatly benefit their reputation. However, Matori was scheming to have them do the work for her, intending to blame them for their failure if they didn't succeed. The TRio anxious to impress Giovanni headed to Sinnoh.
After a long walk, Chloe, Lillie, Snowy, and Eevee decided to camp out by a beautiful lakeside. At first, Chloe has trouble setting up a campfire, It takes a while but she finally succeeds and starts cooking food. By this time night had fallen.
Soon the stew Chloe had made was ready. "It looks so good. You guys are hungry right?"' Snowy and Eevee ran over eagerly ready to eat.
Lillie was a little nervous with the reports of Darkrai around but she knew she couldn't let her fears control her. "so I guess we're staying here tonight?"
Chole nodded "I hope there aren't any scary Pokemon around."
"Like Darkrai," said Lillie nervously. Suddenly the group of four heard rustling from the nearby bushes. Snowy stood in front of Lillie protectively. Suddenly a Piplup jumped out of the Bushes and landed head-first into the stew. It couldn't handle how hot it was as the stew was still on the fire.
PIPLUP (HOT HOT HOT)
"OK?" Lillie was very confused.
"Piplup," a female voice called. Lillie froze recognizing the voice from her nightmare. Snowy rushed over and snuggled into her mother's lap to try to calm her down.
A few seconds later, a blue-haired girl wearing a white beanie hat, with a red Pokeball on it. A pink mini skirt with a black top and pink boots came running forward but she tripped falling flat on her face. Chloe was concerned "Are you ok?"
"I'm fine. No need to worry," the girl responded.
After the girl, recovered, She introduced herself as Dawn, and Chloe introduces herself to Dawn as well. When Chloe mentions that she's en route to Eterna City, Dawn reveals she's going to be taking part in the Contest there but is surprised to find out Chloe only wants to go see it and isn't interested in participating. Dawn then noticed Lillie staring at her with fear. "What's wrong?"
Chloe turned to Lillie understanding the issue. "Lillie it's okay, it was only a nightmare." This greatly confused Dawn and Piplup.
It took 45 minutes to explain the nightmare. Dawn was furious. "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MY COUNTERPART IN THAT DREAM? I KNOW ASH IS AN ONLY CHILD HOW COULD SHE RAISE ASH'S KIDS TO KILL THEIR FATHER? IF I EVER MEET HER MY OTHER SELF BETTER WATCH OUT BECAUSE I WILL SHOW NO MERCY.
PIPLUP PIPLUP PIPLUP PIP (YOU GOT THAT DAMN RIGHT)
Both Dawn and Piplup were surrounded by an aura of fire. Lillie felt calmer knowing that this Dawn was on her and Ash's side.
After Dawn calmed down and Lillie explained that Ash's father was not her father as well, Dawn mentions that she's participated in Contests in not only Sinnoh, but in Hoenn, Unova, and Johto as well, sometimes traveling by herself and sometimes being in a group. She suggests that she and Chloe could travel to Eterna City together, which Chloe happily agrees to. Dawn also gushed at how Ash helped Lillie get over the nightmare, saying that they sounded like the perfect couple, causing Lillie to blush and Chloe to giggle. Dawn roared with laughter when Chloe explained her thoughts about what could happen if Darkrai brought the nightmare back, causing Lillie to have an atomic blush.
Back at the Cerise Laboratory, Ash and Goh have returned to report that they were unable to figure out the cause of the nightmares. Strangely, however, Chrysa and Ren are only interested to hear if they caught any strong Pokémon, before suddenly revealing Team Rocket-like uniforms and performing a modified version of the Rocket trio's motto, announcing themselves as members of "Team Cerise". To Ash and Goh's shock, they suddenly find themselves wearing similar costumes, and Professor Cerise reveals himself in a dark suit, laughing evilly as he orders an all-out assault with all the Pokémon at Cerise Park. Ash, Goh, Pikachu, and Grookey suddenly jolt awake from the nightmare. Upon finding out they all had the same dream, they realize the culprit behind the nightmares must be close and rush outside to see Darkrai nearby before it vanishes into the shadows. Ash was grateful that he did not see the continuation of the nightmare of Lillie had, he did NOT what to know how it ended.
The next morning, after getting their bedhead fixed by Piplup's Bubble Beam, Dawn, Lillie, and Chloe headed off to Eterna City. However, Dawn constantly keeps getting distracted by various things along the way, such as a clear spring, a cute Budew, and a field of flowers, all the while assuring Chloe that there's no need to worry. Chloe eventually grows tired of Dawn's attitude and calls her thoughtless, while Dawn calls Chloe a spoilsport in return.
Lillie sighed "Oh boy these two's personalities are clashing."
Ash and Goh had arrived in another town, only to discover that Darkrai is no longer present there. Goh, however, has gathered the reports about Darkrai together and figured out that it seems to be circling a certain forest, so they decide to go check it out. Above the same forest, the TRio is shown to be flying in their balloon while looking for Darkrai.
Much to Lillie's annoyance, Dawn and Chloe were still bickering. GOOD GRIEF! Lillie thought, and I thought my arguing with mom was tedious. Before Lillie could tell the girl to stop arguing a roar was heard. "What was that," asked a scared Chloe.
She didn't need to wait long. Coming out ahead of the girls was a Rhydon. "A Rhydon," Dawn said surprised.
"And it's been deprived of sleep," Lillie pointed out.
Chloe was about to call for a tackle, but Lillie beat her to the punch. "Snowy use Ice Beam." Snowy did so dealing super effective damage due to Rhydon being part ground type.
Dawn ordered a Bubble Beam. While the attack dealt notable damage to Rhydon, it still had enough energy left to counterattack with Rock Blast, which hits Piplup. Eevee steps in front of Piplup and uses Copycat to temporarily learn Piplup's move. "Eevee Bubble Beam." Eevee complied and the attack hits, Rhydon collapses, having fallen asleep instead of fainting. Both Dawn and Chloe are impressed by the other's performance and find themselves holding hands before they even realize it.
Meanwhile, Ash and Goh were searching for Darkrai. "We might have to fight it," commented Goh. Ash nodded. I just hope Lillie never runs into a Darkrai, he thought. She just recovered from that horrific nightmare. She doesn't need to see that again or have a worse nightmare.
Back with the girls: Lillie was stunned. That was Copycat, a move that allows Eevee or any Pokemon who knows it to use the last move used, she thought to herself. Before Lillie could comment on this there was a sudden glow on the path in front of them. The girls rushed forward and to their surprise laying on the ground injured was: A Cresselia Lillie thought stunned to see such a rare Pokemon.
And that's chapter 2 done. You die-hard Diamond and Pearl fans should recognize that I brought a certain character in early. Chapter 3 might take a while as we are getting close to Black Friday at The Home Depot. We first-time workers on this day have A LOT of training so that we can help the customers and remain safe.
