The Daily Lives of The Owl Familia:
The Bath Incident
Summary: Luz realized that her mouth may have written a check she can't cash. Thankfully, she has an understanding girlfriend…if she wasn't too stubborn to actually listen to her.
Timeline: During the first night when Amity was "knocked-down".
Since coming to the Boiling Isles, Luz would like to think that she had started to change. Yet, standing in the bathroom, she realized she hadn't thought things through…again!
The human witch looked down at her "knocked-down" girlfriend and blushed heavily when she realized just how far she stepped into this one. Still, she made a promise and was too stubborn to back down, especially if made her very important-someone happy.
"So, shall we hop in," Luz said awkwardly.
Amity let out a cute noise and her face got red as she looked up at her girlfriend. The Abomination witch's eyes clouded over when for a second she saw Luz begin to lift her shirt over her head.
"Uz-Uz, otay, no bath, you!" Amity suddenly said, patting her girlfriend on the knee.
Luz stopped taking off her shirt and looked at her girlfriend. It didn't take her long to figure out what Amity meant, and she shook her head.
"No no, no," Luz said stubbornly, waving her hands somewhat frantically. "I said we will take a bath together and we're going too."
Now it was Amity's turn to get stubborn; she crossed her arms over her arms and turned her lip up in defiance.
"No bath, Uz-Uz!"
"No, we're taking a bath, Amity!" Luz replied defiantly.
"No bath!"
"Bath!"
"No bath!"
"We are taking a bath, Little Sweet Potato! And that's final!"
Amity's entire face went red as she screamed, "No Bath, Uz-Uz!" And then did something unexpected…she kicked Luz in the shin.
With a yelp, Luz grabbed her right shin and hopped up and down. Amity could only stare in shock at what she did, and tears soon began to form in her eyes.
"I-I sorry," Amity said, her voice close to her natural age and heavy with guilt. "I'm sorry!"
Luz heard her girlfriend's voice, stopped her hopping, and sighed. She carefully took a seat on the floor and, with a kind smile, gestured for Amity to come closer. The "knocked–down" witch was naturally cautious, but the smile of her girlfriend broke through her doubts.
With her hands in front of her, (and avoiding the spot on her shirt) Amity walked up to Luz and the human gently took her girlfriend into a hug.
"No, I'm sorry," Luz whispered apologetically. "I got pigheaded and didn't listen. So, I'm sorry."
With a light blush and a shy smile, Amity leaned into her embrace.
" It's Otay, Uz-Uz," Amity replied warmly.
Luz smiled, happy that she has such an awesome and understanding girlfriend regardless of age. She quickly frown when she noticed the 'water' on Amity's shirt was starting to get onto her clothes and she sighed.
"Well, Little Sweet Potato, how about that bath?" she asked awkwardly.
With a cute yelp and her entire face turning red, Amity looked at her girlfriend and nodded shyly. With a soft smile, Luz gently pushed Amity off her and stood up. She walked up to the bathtub and turned on the water. She began to set things up as Amity took off her shirt and threw it into a nearby basket.
Once everything was done, Luz took a hand towel and wetted it. "Amity, can you come here?" she asked sweetly.
With another shy nod, the "knocked-down" witch walked up to her girlfriend. With her face so red, Luz cleaned off the urine that has started to dry. Luz threw the rag into the basket that Amity threw her shirt, and took a moment to calm her racing heart.
Luz took one final breath and gently slid her hands under the red-faced Amity. The human gently lifted her girlfriend up and into the half-filled tub. She then cup some water into her hand and gently wetted Amity's hair.
She next used some tear-free shampoo on Amity, and couldn't help but smile when the "knocked-down" witch giggled.
That sweet sound was enough to ease some of the tension that has been building in Luz since she learned everything. The human witch was soon singing a Spanish song as she continue to bathe her girlfriend.
However, neither knew this, but both girlfriends were slightly disappointed they didn't get to share a bath…yet!

Well nothing like inverting one of the oldest cliches and ending it with a little poetic justice, am I right? And with this, we come to the 'Raven Will Soar' parts of this these shorts. Next up is an answer to a question I'm sure no one was asking.
