Chapter 1:A Charmed World
Friedikin University.
Pronounced "Freakin' University"
The most prestigious ivy-league university in all of Bellwood.
Though it primarily served as a place pf study for the residents of Bellwood and beyond,on a rather unusual school night,it would serve as the battle ground for a certain Omnitrix hero and his allies against an evil sorceress.
On the rooftop of one of the school buildings were two beings engaged in a heated battle. One human and the other anything but.
The creature had a mixture of a phantom/ghost-like and gaseous appearance with claw-like hands, and greenish white skin with black lines running all over.
It has green chains all over it's front side which lead to it's neck, waist, and center/chest, giving it the appearance of being contained in a straitjacket, but with it's arms out freely.
It also has spikes on it's elbows, along with two cuffs on each of it's arms. It has a single green colored eye on it's face,and located at the center of it's chains is a green and black hourglass symbol.
This is Ben Tennyson, known by his hero persona as "Ben 10". He was currently in his Ectonurite form known as "GhostFreak".
His opponent; a curvaceous young woman with a light skin tone along with white hair framed with purple highlights and styled in a ponytail. She also wore gothic "Eye of Horus" styled eye makeup to complement her light purple and pinkish eyes, along with golden earrings and purple lipstick.
She also wore a magenta coat with purple at the ends, underneath she wore purple long heeled boots with black straps around them. A "Magical Charm Bag" was wrapped around her waist.
She held in her right hand a wooden stadf has a bird-like head on top with a ring that runs through its eyes. It's name is "The Staff of Ages".
This is Hope,known by her villain persona as "Charmcaster".
Charmcaster would then jump high above GhostFreak, twirling the Staff of Ages around in the process before bringing it down by the face to strike GhostFreak as she fell down towards him.
She would let out a gasp of shock as GhostFreak would turn intangible,thus causing the Staff to phase right through him. Then, GhostFreak would grab her by both arms, causing her to become intangible as well, and phase both of them through the roof of the building to it's inside.
GhostFreak would then phase through a wall behind him while still holding Charmcaster, before throwing her to the ground through a hole in the wall of a library floor.
With repeated grunts and thuds, Charmcaster would ragdoll painfully across the ground before using the end of the Staff to come to a skidding stop. While resting on her right knee, Charmcaster would look up with widened eyes as she saw GhostFreak flying right towards her.
In an instant, Charmcaster would jump high into the air with a backflip to avoid GhostFreak's grab, and while still in mid air, would fire a blast of pink energy from the face of the staff,of which GhostFreak would avoid by turning intangible.
"Gonna have to do better than that, Charmcaster." Taunted GhostFreak as he watched Charmcaster land on one of the brown tables inside the library.
"You have been a thorn in my side for far too long,Ben Tennyson." Said Charmcaster with a low growl.
"What can I say? Giving bad guys a hard time is just what I do best." Said GhostFreak cockily as he crossed his arms.
"Statua!" Shouted Charmcaster as she stretched out her left hand towards GhostFreak. GhostFreak would then turn intangible once more as a pink wave of energy would swirl towards him.
"Gahh!" Yelled GhostFreak in pain as he was forcibly made tangible once more.
"I...I can't move!" Panicked GhostFreak as he was in fact made immobile.
"Now, you will thwart me no longer!" Declared Charmcaster triumphantly. Charmcaster would then make a "Sign of the horns" handsign with both hands as her hands and eyes would start to emit a bright pink aura.
"Estote Quasi Intecumentum Amatari.." An orange energy blast would hit Charmcaster from behind, causing her to fall to the ground on her face.
Standing behind on a three-way staircase was the individual who attacked her. He was tall with periwinkle-blue colored fur, black markings on his face, and pointed ears. The middle of his face, his chest and his stomach are white. He has black stripes on his shoulders, waist, lower legs and lower arms.
His clothing consisted of blue and black body armor that was rather light in appearance. Latched onto his right shoulder was a blaster, colored indigo, white and orange. It had the same hourglass symbol on the top of it's handle.
This is Rook Blonko. Mounted on his shoulder was his weapon known as the "Proto-Tool".
Standing beside him to his left is tall and muscular young man.He has pale skin,shoulder-length black hair and dark brown eyes. He has a few chin whiskers and most notably,a cross-shaped scar on it. He wore a black shirt but the sleeves and collar are roughly cut, the sleeves on his long sleeved grey shirt are slightly torn with stripes and he wears blue wholesters.
His pants have a small tear below the left knee. He also wears a padlock necklace marked with an "11". He also sports black discolored marks around his eyes, making him appear tired.
This is Kevin Levin,known by his alias as "Kevin 11"
"I'm afraid not, Charmcaster." Said Rook as he aimed the still latched onto his shoulder Proto-Tool at her.
"You fools! Do you have any idea what you've done?!" Asked a distressed Charmcaster as she turned to face them.
"Yeah,we do, stopping you." Said Kevin with a smirk.
"You have disrupted my cross-dimensional spell, creating a vacuum across space-time in the process." Explained Charmcaster.
"And that's bad because?" Asked GhostFreak. Suddenly,an individual would land on a table in front of the two of them and behind Charmcaster.
The individual is a young woman with short hair glowing pink along with her eyes and skin. Her clothing consisted of a blue mask, blue gloves and a dark blue shirt with a light blue vertical stripe. Her shirt cuts off and reveals her midriff and naval. She also wore blue boots, a dark blue miniskirt with a light blue stripe and a belt. She has a black cat logo on her shirt with pink eyes.
This is Gwen Tennyson, currently in her superhero persona known as "Lucky Girl".
"Because everything and everyone within a 5 mile radius will be sucked into the portal, sending them to anywhere across dimensions." Explained Gwen.
"What portal?" Asked GhostFreak. As if to answer his question,a large pink portal would suddenly materialize above all of them on the ceiling of the library.
"That one." Stated Gwen dryly.
"Oh." Said GhostFreak with a flat tone.
Like a vaccum, the portal would begin to suck in anything and everything inside the library, causing all it's residents to employ different means in order to avoid being sucked in as well. Kevin place his right hand on the ground, causing his body to be coated in the material of the ground. He would rhen enlarge borh his hands before digging them deep into rhe ground,his impressive grip strength preventing him from being thrown into the air.
Rook would fire a grappling hook from his Proto-Tool towards a faraway bookshelf. The strength of the hook and line would prove to be sufficient enough for Rool to resist the portal's pull.
Gwen on the other hand would have to resort to more desperate measures, holding onto the top of a bookshelf with one hand, and holding firmly one of the chains of a still immobile GhostFreak
"How do we stop it?!" Shouted Kevin due to the growing desperation of their situation and the wind blowing violently as a result.
"We'd have to create a reverse cross-dimensional spell to cancel out the one in place!" Responded Gwen.
"So do it!" Shouted GhostFreak.
"Can't! I need another magic user to help cast the spell, and Professor Hex can't help us for obvious reasons!" A stone totem with a skull painting on it's face would float in front of Gwen.
"Point taken!" Shouted Rook.
"Any other ideas?!" Asked GhostFreak.
"If we can send the original caster of the spell through the portal, that should be enough to close it!" Suggested Gwen. Charmcaster's eyes would then widen in shock as she came to the haunting realization of what Gwen was implying.
"You wouldn't!" Shouted Charmcaster, causing Gwen to smirk and GhostFreak to narrow his eye.
"She would!" Said GhostFreak smugly. As if on cue,Gwen would emit a similar pink wave to Charmcaster's with the hand she used to hold GhostFreak, before releasing her hold on him. A pink aura would envelop GhostFreak as he fell to the floor. And with his movement restored, GhostFreak would then place his left hand on the hourglass symbol on his chest, causing a blinding green light to briefly engulf.
Standing on the ground with the pink aura surrounding him was a small, white humanoid made of silicon. One of his most noticeable features is a square appendage resembling an MP3 player behind his back with a port on it, decorated with a '10' symbol. The green circle-shaped indents on the back of it's hands are sound holes, and the inside of his mouth is also green with lines that give it the appearance of an amplifier. He also wore headphones that are attached to a backpack.
He has two black stripes on both of his earplugs,three toes, along with a circular shape on his stomach and the tapes on his legs are now gone. On his forehead is the hourglass symbol.
This is Ben's Sonorosian form, Echo-Echo.
"And. So. Would. I!" Began Echo-Echo before taking in a deep breath and letting out a sonic scream towards Charmcaster.
"Uuaagghhh!" Shouted Charmcaster in pain as the attack blew her towards the portal. The pink aura surrounding Echo-Echo served as somewhat of a magnetic force to the ground, hence why he wasn't being sucked into the portal as well.
In an act of desperation, Charmcaster would let out a battle cry as she held up the Staff of Ages, causing a bright pink aura to glow inside it's mouth before shooting a large energy blast towards Echo-Echo.
"Oh. No!" Shouted Echo-Echo before being struck by the blast, it's energy enveloping him.
"Woahhh!" Shouted Echo-Echo as he was levitated off the ground towards Charmcaster.
"Ben!" Shouted Gwen, Kevin and Rook in unison as they watched both of them be sucked into the portal. In a similar act of desperation,Rook would release his grappling line from the bookshelf, before firing a new one towards the portal. And though it would latch onto something,it would also pull Rook towards it as well.
"Gahhhh!" Shouted Rook before he too was sucked into the portal.
"Rook!" Shouted Gwen and Kevin in unison.
At that moment, the portal would briefly expand, slightly sucking in more objects, and raising both Gwen and Kevin up to the air, before dissappearing just as fast, causing them and the remaining objects inside the library to fall to the ground with a heavy thud.
"Uggh." Groaned both Kevin and Gwen in pain as they slowly got off the ground.
"The portal's gone..." Said Kevin as he stood up.
Indeed,the crisis had been averted, but at a heavy price.
"... And so are Ben and Rook..." Said Gwen somberly as she knelt on the ground with a downcast expression.
"Gwen. Do you have any idea where they might have gone?" Asked Kevin as he knelt in front of her.
"It was a cross dimensional portal,Kevin. Meaning they could any dimension,or in a whole new reality altogether." Explained Gwen.
"And i wouldn't even know where to look." Said Gwen with sorrow in her eyes.
"There's got to be another way." Said Kevin as he placed his hands on her shoulders as a form of encouragement.
"Perhaps i could be of assistance." Said a new voice, causing both teens to look to their side.
Standing up from the ground and dusting himself was a tall,lean, middle aged man with black and curly hair. He has grey skin with a black lighting bolt on his forehead,and a face painted white and black to resemble a skull.
His attire consisted of a red jacket with a brooch on the white part of the cloth and black pants with black shoes. His hair is tied in a bun with a red headband.
This is Hex.
"Ahhh!" Shouted the voices of Rook and Echo-Echo in unison as they fell through the portal from above before landing with a heavy thud and a grunt of pain on the ground.
"Ughhh!" Groaned both Rook and Echo-Echo weakly as they laid flat on their backs. A loud beeping sound could be heard from the hourglass symbol on Echo-Echo's head before the blinding green light from before engulfed him.
Now in the place of Echo-Echo was a young man with combed brown hair, green eyes, pale skin, and was quite skinny for his age. He wore a black shirt that has a green stripe in the middle with a white '10' and green stripes on the sides of his shirt. He also wore brown cargo pants with pockets at the knees with a brown belt hidden under the shirt and green and white shoes.
This is Ben Tennyson,now in his human form.
"Gonna feel that tomorrow." Said Ben with a groan as he sat up and began to run his head lightly.
"I do not believe i can relate,as the pain from our fall is very much present even now." Said Rook with a groan as well.
"Speaking of our fall... where on earth are we?" Asked Ben as he stood up and began to observe his surroundings.
The setting was the inside of a dungeon. From across all corners of the walls and ceilings the dungeon sported a architectural design that was both streamlined and otherworldly.
Large spaces that were both horizontal and vertical in nature were adorned on the ceilings and walls, with them all having an interconnected flow of water. The water itself looked enchanted,as it was sparkling.
Soft, flickering sparkles of light could be seen at every nook and cranny of the dungeon, adding even more to it's already magical atmosphere.
"I cannot say, but I am quite uncertain about whether we are on earth or not. Our earth,at least." Mused Rook.
"Meaning Charmcaster did actually send us to another dimension." Reasoned Ben.
"I cannot think of any other alternative." Said Rook.
"Hmm." Said Ben as he gently cupped his left hand under his chin. On his left wrist was a square shaped wrist watch with a white and green color scheme. The faceplate was black, with two green stripes forming an outline for the hourglass symbol.
This is the Omnitrix; the source of Ben's power.
"See if you can read anything on your scanner." Suggested Ben.
"As you wish." Said Rook before detaching the Proto-Tool from his shoulder. He would then hold it by the handle, causing it to change from a blaster to a scanner with a flat handle and the hourglass symbol in the middle of two cream and black compartments similar to wings.
Rook would then slowly move the scanner to his right before coming to a stop upon hearing a loud beeping sound.
"There are two sentient life forms not far from our location." Stated Rook as the Proto-Tool shifted back into a blaster before he placed it back on his shoulder.
"Alright. Where to?" Asked Ben.
"There." Said Rook as he pointed to a pathway on the wall above that was a few feet away from where they stood.
"Let's go." Said Ben,to which Rook would nod in response before firing a grappling hook from the Proto-Tool. Rook would then hold Ben by the waist as the grappling hook dragged both of them to the top of the pathway.
Upon landing inside the pathway, Rook would recoil his grappling line and let go of Ben before the both of them would begin to walk through the pathway.
"Hopefully,we run into some friendly locals. Though considering the layout of this place,we might be lucky to run into anyone, really." Said Ben with a smirk.
"Indeed." Said Rook in agreement. The two wouldn't have to continue walking for much longer,as they would eventually reach the end of the pathway,of which it was an exit to another room.

Now for some things you should know about the story.
1) From the Ben 10 side of things, this is during the 3rd episode of the 7th season of Omniverse, but with an alternate ending to it.
2) From the Black Clover side of things, this is set during episodes 14 and 15 of the first season.
2) For those who have already read the teaser chapter,it will be the second chapter of the story, and will remained mostly unchanged from how it was written since it's good enough to be considered a proper chapter.
3) After Chapter 3 is released, expect the story to have an inconsistent update schedule for now. The reason being I have other story projects I'm working on, whether ongoing or upcoming. So if you noticed that it hasn't been updated in under a month or more, you know the reason why.
And please, don't ask me when I will update,as I won't be able to always give you a definitive release date.
