Dear Buffy,
Those two words alone send tears down her cheeks. She already knew the letter by heart. The slayer glimpsed over it skipping around here and there.
You were my whole life, my reason for living.
Damn these tears
I set out to gain my humanity, my Shanshu for you.
Buffy's eyes stung with the tears as they streamed down her face. She had been too late.
I wanted to give you the white picketed fence, 2.5 kids, a dog. I wanted to give you picnics on Sunday afternoons.
She clenched her teeth, if only... The slayer looked at the letter once more.
I tried living without you, but I couldn't. I can't go own without you. You where my strength love. Forgive me.
The slayer had received a phone call from Cordelia telling her the tragic news.
Angel committed suicide two days ago. The souled warrior left the letter to be placed on her grave. No one had told him she was alive again, and because of that he was dead.
Her Angel had stood the roof of the building which held the A.I Team. He watched his finale sunrise as it burned him to ash.
The slayer looked at the tear stained paper and crumpled it up, letting is fall smoothly to the group. Buffy watched it fly gently through the wind until it hit the concrete.
Too bad gravity wouldn't be that nice to her.
The slayer could barely hear the screams of her friends behind her, and the police officers all around her.
Nothing else matters. Buffy thought bitterly. Atleast now we have forever.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes as she leaned all her body weight forward.
This is going to hurt.
She didn't even feel her body hit the cool concrete. When she opened her eyes there stood Angel holding out his hand for her.
Buffy stood up and smiled as she took his hand.
He pulled her to him and they kissed gently.
Buffy looked into his eyes.
"What now?" She asked.
"Now we have forever my love." He replied.
The End
