Carlitos Casagrande was a man divided.
Perhaps "divided" wasn't the best word to describe how he felt. "Conflicted" came a little bit closer, but even that missed the mark. Close, his grandfather might say, but no cigar. His problem was this: He wanted to talk to Nikki about starting a family, but at the same time, a small part of him was afraid to. Was he rushing things? He felt like he was rushing things. Having a baby with someone was a big deal - a big, life changing deal that you could never come back from and never walk away from. Unless, of course, you were a deadbeat piece of shit who could sleep well at night knowing that your child is out there somewhere without a father. Then yeah, you could walk away from it just the same as you could a menial, minimum wage job.
Carlitos wasn't like that. He could never see himself walking away from his kids. God, how could someone do that? How could they live with themselves? He didn't know but he was morally certain that he couldn't do it. For some men, having a child with a woman might not be a big deal, but to him, it was a lifelong commitment. Even if he and Nikki wound up hating each other one day, they'd still have that bond and he wouldn't be able to walk away. At least not entirely.
Thoughts like that gave him pause. He loved Nikki and felt that he always would, but what if things changed down the road? What if their feelings cooled? What if one fell out of love with the other? They wouldn't be able to part ways because they'd have children.
Carlitos was sure of himself, and he also trusted Nikki, so those worries didn't bother him all that much. His main worry was that he was rushing things along. A part of him wanted to take it slow and easy, to let things like them having a family together develop naturally over time. It would happen, he figured, in the natural course of things, there was no reason to shoehorn it in right now. He and Nikki had all the time in the world.
Even so, the more he sat on it, the more he had this nagging suspicion in the back of his head that he might be making a mistake. Lily was all for it, but he wanted to get Ronnie Anne's take. He didn't say this out loud because it would sound super corny and would embarrass him, but he really respected and looked up to Ronnie Anne. She was like a wise older sister who always knew the right thing to say and do. To him, her word was gold. If she told him that he needed to jump off a bridge, he wouldn' even ask why, he'd just do it because she told him to. There had to be a damn good reason for it. He didn't even need to ask, he just needed to do it. If she told him that he was being stupid and said that he should wait until he was thirty, he would do it…or at least he would try. The more he turned the idea over in his head, the more he wanted a family with Nikki. Even though he trusted Ronnie Anne to always be right, he didn't know if he would be able to take her advice.
The day after he spoke to Lily over video chat, he screwed up all his courage and tracked down Ronnie Anne, finding her in the sun washed kitchen of the Casagrande bodega. Their grandmother had tasked her with making empanadas to be sold in their shop on the first floor, and she was busy pressing globs of dough. She wore a red apron covered with flour. Her face and hands were dusted white, and some of the powdery substance had made it into her hair, which was messy and beginning to work loose from the tight and efficient ponytail she always wore. Strands of black hair hung in her face, lending her a tired and frazzled appearance. She was no chef and didn't like cooking, but she would always help her family out, even if it meant doing something she personally hated. Maybe it was something about the way the light streaming in through the window over the sink bathed her face, or maybe it was her determined demeanor, but in that moment, she kind of reminded him of his mother.
Talking to Ronnie Anne had always been easier than talking to his mother, of course. Ronnie Anne was older, but still, in some indefinable way, a "kid" like him. She was more on his level than a "real" adult, so he felt comfortable opening up to her. She also never laughed at him, never chided him, never did anything to intentionally make him feel bad about himself or his problems.
Despite that, he didn't know how she would react to this. This was pretty major. She might say he was being stupid, she might even confirm what he was afraid of and say that he was rushing things. "Hey, Ronnie Anne," he said.
She spared him a quick glance and went back to pressing the dough. "Hey," she said. "What's up?"
"I need to ask you something."
"Sure," she said, "shoot."
"Well, first of all, did you see the video Lily posted?"
Ronnie Anne missed a beat and accidentally mangled the ball of dough she was working on. That alone told him everything he needed to know. "I was thinking…" he trailed off and rubbed the back of his neck. "You know, for a while now, I've been…"
He didn't know any delicate or diplomatic way to say this, so he was just going to have to come right out with it. "I want to start a family with Nikki. Like…with kids. Lily and I were talking last night, and, you know, she's pregnant, and she said I should go for it. I was wondering what you thought."
Ronnie Anne stopped what she was doing and leaned heavily against the counter, her hands sliding slightly in the dust coating the formica. She looked down at him and pursed her lips in thought. His expression was inscrutable - he couldn't tell what she was thinking, and that made him nervous. She could like the idea, she could hate the idea, she could feel indifferent to the idea: He had no way of knowing until she opened her mouth and told him. Finally, she let out a sigh and flashed a weak though genuine smile. "I think that's a great idea."
"Really?" Carlitos asked hopefully.
"Yeah," she replied. "I think you should do whatever makes you happy and I think starting a family would make both you and Nikki very happy."
Carlitos let out a deep breath he didn't realize he had been holding. "You don't think it's too soon? I don't want to spring this on her out of nowhere. It might scare her off or something."
A slow smile spread across Ronnie Anne's lips. "I doubt you'll scare her off. Nikki is head over heels for you. Trust me, we talk.
"You do?" he asked.
Ronnie Anne nodded. "She loves you very much, and though she hasn't said as much, I think she'd love being a mother. Especially to your child. I say you guys should go for it. Obviously, you need to talk to her first and make sure you're on the same page."
Now it was Carlitos' turn to nod. "I know, that's kind of what I'm afraid of. What if it turns out that we're not on the same page? What if you're wrong and she isn't ready for such a huge commitment? Just bringing it up might scare her off."
Dusting her hands, Ronnie Anne knelt down until they were eye to eye. She laid her hand on his shoulder and gave it a comforting, maternal squeeze. "You're not going to scare her off that easily. Trust me. She's crazy about you and she's here for the long haul."
Her words brought a smile to his face just like he knew they would. He gave her a big hug and squeezed tightly. "Thanks, Ronnie," he said.
"Don't mention it," she said.
With that out of the way, the only thing left was to tell Nikki. Even though he was bubbling with confidence after his talk with Ronnie Anne, he was still really nervous about having this conversation with Nikki. Part of him was afraid of how she would react, but that wasn't all of it, or even most of it. He was also afraid of, well…
What if he was wrong? What if he thought he wanted to start a family but wound up regretting it? There was an old saying he heard that went something like "You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube." That meant that once something was done, it was done. There was no going back, no do overs, no second chances. Life isn't a video game, it doesn't have a RESET button. You have to make these really big decisions with the absolute utmost care, because once it was done, it was done. Set in stone, you might say. He was sure that he wanted this and always would, but…goddamn it, it was such a big decision. He didn't know if he would ever be fully 100 percent certain of himself. He was just so afraid of messing up somewhere down the line, especially as a father. A small nagging voice in the back of his mind told him that he needed to be older and wiser before taking on the mantle of fatherhood. His own father was big and strong and seemed to know everything. He was a larger than life figure and Carlitos wasn't sure that he could ever be like him. His and Nikki's child deserved the best father on the planet, and Carlitos was almost certain that that wouldn't be him.
Then again, maybe he was overthinking this too much. People, he had learned, had a bad habit of overthinking things, especially younger generations. There were valid reasons for this, of course, and going all willy nilly into something was a pretty stupid move no matter who you were, but…he didn't know, it seemed kind of like many people today were a little too cautious. They made a big deal about waiting to have kids until their situation was 100 percent perfect, but situations rarely, if ever, reach a state of pure perfection. You'll never really feel prepared. There will always be one reason or another that things aren't just right. Sooner or later, all that hemming and hawing will catch up to you and you'll realize that the chance has passed you by. Carlitos didn't think he would ever feel entirely manly and grown up enough to be a father. It was one of those things that you have to just do. You had to learn on the job. No amount of reading, watching YouTube videos, or fantasizing will teach you.
The morning after his talk with Ronnie Anne, Carlitos left home at his normal time carrying his book bag slung casually over one shoulder. Instead of cutting across the park to get to school, however, he took a right at Boswell Street and followed it for six blocks. The lane descended down a steep hill, its length paved with cobblestones and lined with aged brownstones. He hung a left at Johnson, then a right at 55th. Finally, he reached Nikki's door and knocked. She had been working the night shift lately so he expected her to be asleep. He kind of regretted dragging her out of bed, but he wanted to get this talk over with as quickly as possible.
When she didn't answer at once, he knocked again. After a few minutes, he heard the sound of muffled footfalls approaching from inside. The knob rattled and the door cracked open. One bleary eye framed by messy blonde bedhead filled the gap, and when Nikki realized who it was, her face lit up in a muted sort of way. She opened the door fully and stood before him in a T shirt and a pair of shorts. Her face was puffy with sleep but she looked happy enough to see him."Hey," she said.
"Hey," he replied.
For a moment they looked at each other, Nikki ogling him like a chad checking out a hot babe. "Can I come in?" he asked.
They sat on the couch in the living room. "I have something important to ask you," he said.
"What is it?" she asked.
Carlitos flushed nervously and rubbed the back of his neck. He darted his eyes to his lap and struggled to come out with the words. Nikki saw his pretty obvious distress and laid her hand on his. She gave him an encouraging smile and Carlitos found the strength to carry on. "How would you…like…to have a family together?"
Nikki looked slightly shocked.
"I mean, I really love you and I want to be with you forever. I want us to have kids and -"
Nikki cut him off. "OH my GOD I would LOVE IT. Having the baby of my 10 years old husband would be so ROMANTIC AND HOT."
Carlitos missed a beat. Her enthusiasm somehow managed to be both encouraging and a little scary. Seeing this, Nikki added, soberly, "But of course that is when you are ready. I know your friend is already pregnant but if you are not ready there is no reason to rush it. I can wait until you are older."
"But I am ready," Carlitos hastened to add. "I'm totally ready for this."
Nikki smiled and cupped his cheek in her hand. "If we're going to be parents," she said, "we might as well get started." She batted her eyelashes sexily at him, and he felt a warm flush creeping over his entire body. She leaned in and their lips met with an electric shock. Nikki's tongue slipped into his mouth and he massaged it with his. She laid him back on the couch and straddled him, her hands pressing flat against his chest. She slipped her hands under his shirt and ran them over his warm, naked chest. She bent over him and kissed him deeply, their tongues swirling in gentle, perfect union. Carlitos put his hands on her hips and ran them up and down her flanks. He snaked them around her hips and pulled her shorts down her perfect rounded ass. She lifted up a little so that he could pull them down to her knees, then she reached behind her back and yanked them down her legs. She unzipped his pants, pulled back the flaps, and tugged his underwear down, letting his hard cock spring free.
Taking him into her hand, she bent over and swirled her tongue around the tip, tasting the salty tang of his clear precum. She molded her lips to him and went down slowly, stopping only when he touched the back of her throat. A shiver went down Carlitos's spine and he arched his back. She bobbed her head up and down, coating his dick in warm saliva, then crawled into his lap and lowered herself gently onto him. Her wet walls gripped him and her muscles slowly expanded and contracted, massaging him and coaxing his load, She threw her head back and began to thrust. Carlitos slid his hands under her shirt and fondled her breasts, Her nipples were hard and throbbing; he pinched and rolled them between his fingers.
Nikki lowered her head and brought her hips down with a meaty sound. The couch shook and creaked underneath their weight. Nikki tossed her hair out of her face and ran her hands over Carlitos's chest. She clenched her body around him and he let out a moan that made her laugh. She did it again and his eyes rolled back into his head. "Does that feel good?" she asked breathlessly.
"Very good," Carlitos said in a rush.
Nikki kissed his chin and the corner of his mouth. "Good."
Next, they switched positions. Nikki was on her hands and knees with her butt thrust into the air, and Carlitos was behind her. He gripped her hips in his hands and began to pound her pink pussy from behind. Nikki threw herself back into his thrusts and hissed through her teeth at the feeling of his curved head raking her sensitive walls. She dug her nails into the couch cushion and gasped when he slapped her butt. Tingles rippled through her pussy and she had to bite down on her bottom lip to keep from blowing her girl load right there.
Carlitos pounded away, his balls slapping her clit. She was tight, hot, and wet, and he had to think of something else to keep from finishing.
They changed positions one more time, with Carlitos on top and pinning Nikki's ankles behind her ears. "God, fuck me," Nikki moaned, "fuck me and get me pregnant with your hot shota dick. Call me Mommy."
"You feel so good, Mommy," Carlitos said, playing along with her dirty talk. She had always had a fetish for fucking young boys and she made no bones about it now, telling him that he was her "underage husbando" and that his body was a "pedo playground." She said, "I made you a man now I'm going to make you a father."
"Yes," he moaned.
"Oh yes." Nikki purred, "you know Carlitos being a father is a lot of responsibility, watching out for the baby, feeding it, changing diapers, get her or him to sleep. It means a lot less time playing, a lot less going out with friends, and you are so young it means giving out much of your childhood."
"Are you ready to give all that up just to please this whore, This pervert slut?" More moans "Will you give up your childhood and become the husband of the filthy pedophile that manipulated you, such an innocent boy, just to satisfy her deprave and pervert cravings"
Of course, neither one saw their relationship in such terms but the point was to talk dirty, not to be technically accurate.
Carlitos says. "Yes, I don't need time to play or go out with friends, all I want is to raise the kid of the dirty slut pedophile that would be my wife. Yes, please get pregnant. I want to be a father."
Hearing that sent Nikki over the edge. Her eyes narrowed and her body clamped down around his shaft. She shook and let out a moan.
That was all he could stand, and he came with a moan, his hot cum filling Nikki's womb. They held each other as they shook in the throes of their mutual orgasm then cuddled together for a long time, hot and sticky with sweat. "I love you," he finally said.
"I love you too," Nikki replied.
The wedding took nearly six months to plan. At first, Nikki didn't want anything lavish. A simple outdoor ceremony with some chairs, a few tables, and a priest suited her fine; she was never the flashy type and, unlike many girls, didn't dream of some fairytale gala. Her mother and the women in Carlitos' family, however, were a little more traditional in that sense and sort of stepped in to take over the planning. Her mother and the Casagrande women became fast friends as they gathered each day to work out the details, usually sitting in the comfortable sitting room of the Casagrandes' bodega and sipping coffee while they went over plans, choosing caterers, florists, and photographers with exaggerated care and fussiness.
At first, Nikki's parents were a little…well…shocked when she told them that she was getting married. They were even more shocked when she introduced them to her fiance. As far as they knew, there was no man in her life and had hardly ever been. They, of course, had no idea that she was a frenzied, foaming at the mouth shota hunter who loved little boys, so her bringing one home with the intention of marrying him came as quite a surprise. Her mother took her into the kitchen while Dad and Carlitos chatted awkwardly in the living room. "How old is he?" Mom asked. "Ten?"
"Actually," Nikki said, "he's ten and a half."
"I don't want to butt in but are you absolutely sure that you're making the right choice here? He's awfully young."
"I know," Nikki said, "but we're in love. I have no doubts that we're doing the right thing."
Mom didn't look entirely convinced, but she didn't provide any further argument. She and Dad eventually came around, won over mainly by Carlitos' charm. It was hard not to fall in love with him once you got to know him. After a while, they saw him as part of the family, which made the whole getting married thing much easier. Nikki loved Carlitos and was going to marry him no matter what anyone said or did, but she was glad that she wouldn't be getting any pushback from her parents. She loved them but she was prepared to defy their wishes and even to give up her relationship with them for the sake of being with Carlitos.
While the mothers - as Nikki had come to think of them - planned the wedding, Nikki and Carlitos planned their life together afterward. The Casagrandes insisted that once they were married, they live in the bodega, and Nikki was fine with that, since they wouldn't have to pay rent. She would be expected to help out with the family business, but she didn't mind.
The weeks leading up to the wedding were a busy and hectic time. Nikki and her mother went dress shopping and Mom insisted on buying the most ornate white dress she could afford. It was lacy with a veil and a long trane. It was a little too much for Nikki's tastes, but she went along with it to please her mother. All the pomp and circumstance was for everyone else's benefit; she didn't care what she wore or where the wedding was held just so long as she got to marry Carlitos. If making a big to do about the whole thing made everyone else happy, fine. If everyone else wanted to do it on the cheap and just have them get married at the courthouse by a justice of the peace, great. She was down for it.
As the big day approached, however, she got more into the idea of a big wedding. Like any bride, she wanted her wedding to be perfect, the kind of event upon which she could look back in fifty years and smile. She took a more active role in helping to plan the event, and wound up spending more and more time with the women in Carlitos' family. That, in turn, led to them bonding and becoming closer.
Throughout this time, Nikki wavered back and forth between being really excited and really nervous. She wanted this as badly as Carlitos did but she was a little apprehensive about the whole thing. Marriage was such a big deal. It was like a tattoo: Once it was on, it wasn't coming off again…at least not without a lot of pain and effort. She could not see herself ever splitting with Carlitos, but there was something about the firm finality of marriage that gave her pause. She was ready for it, however, and was also ready to be a mother to Carlitos' children. She was a bit nervous about that as well but she knew that she wanted nothing more from life but to be a wife and mother. Having children with Carlitos had become her life's goal and nothing was going to dissuade her from that.
Finally, the big day arrived. The wedding was held in a massive gothic style Catholic church with stained glass windows and morbid statues of dead saints gathered around to watch. The pews were packed with family and friends of both the bride and the groom, including Lincoln, Lisa, Lily, and Lori. A hush lay over the nave, broken only by the occasional cough and crisp rustle of fabric as someone moved. Carlitos stood on the altar in his little tux, the flower on his lapel almost as big as he was. He looked nervous but happy, like a man in a dream.
After what seemed like forever, Here Comes the Bride began to play and Nikki appeared at the head of the aisle with her father. He walked her to the altar and then handed her over to Carlitos. Her face was hidden behind a lacy veil but Carlitos had still never seen her so beautiful.
The size difference between them was great, and when the priest announced that "You may kiss the bride," Nikki picked Carlitos up under the shoulders. Nikki went in for a chaste peck on the lips, but they wound up shoving their tongues down each other's throats. She squeezed his butt through his pants and he openly fondled her breasts. No one seemed to care; they all clapped and whistled and otherwise showed their support.
From the church they went back to the bodega for the after party. All the women present huddled around Nikki as if to bask in the warm glow of a new bride while Lily and Carlitos stood to one side chatting like the old friends they were. "I just wanted to thank you," Carlitos said. "You and your videos are a big part of the reason I was able to gather the courage to ask Nikki to marry me. And, of course, to become a father even though I'm still a kid."
"I'm really happy for you guys," Lily said, "and trust me, I know how great it is to finally be with the one you love. I just hope our kids will be friends just like we are."
Carlitos did too. Lily, and indeed the rest of the Louds, were wonderful people whom Carlitos truly loved. He considered them family just as much as he considered his own aunts, uncles, and cousins family, and he dearly hoped the bond between their two peoples would last well into the next generation. And hopefully into the next generation after that.
Before he could reply and perhaps say all of that, Lori and Bobby walked up and joined the conversation. Bobby told Carlitos how proud he was of him. "I gotta warn you, though," he said, "being married isn't all sunshine and rainbows. In fact, sometimes it can be really hard. It takes a lot of effort, communication, and understanding."
"And patience," Lori added.
Bobby nodded. "Definitely patience."
While they spoke, Nikki came over, and she and Carlitos put their arms affectionately around each other. Carlitos nodded at what Bobby and Lori were saying. "I would do anything for Nikki."
"And I'd do anything for Carlitos."
Lori turned to Lily. "Well it seems your videos really are successful. I never thought you would inspire Carlitos to become a father at such a young age. I am still not fully convinced of just you being such a young mother, even less my cousin in law. But I guess I should be proud you are successful in what you set your mind in."
Lily smiled broadly. "I'm pretty proud of myself, not gonna lie."
To Nikki, Lori said, "Very well just as I said to my brother. This is my dear Cousin in Law. Who just turned 11 a month ago and you are an adult so you better be a responsible wife." She gave a stern look. "Really just like Lincoln here with such a young spouse you would have to be a little bit of a mother in addition to a wife for him just as Lincoln has to be a little bit of a father to Lily and Lisa."
Nikki said, "Of course, I would. I love my little man and would do what is best for him and four our baby" She says with a smile, caressing her belly.
Lincoln, who had been lurking nearby, turned to Nikki. "Not gonna Lie Nikki it can be a bit of a challenge and it can only get more challenging once the babies are born. But I think with true love it can be done" he smiles at her "And at least you only have one husband. I have to please and take care of 2 wives"
Nikki smiled. "Thank you."
By now, it was getting late. "I'd love to stay and chat," Nikki said, "but I'd really like to start my honeymoon." She grinned and scooped Carlitos up like a groom carrying his bride across the threshold Everyone clapped, cheered, and toasted to the new bride and groom as Nikki carried Carlitos across the floor and up the stairs, the long train of her dress pulling behind her like a long, slow snake. She turned slightly to the side as they made their way up the stairs so that Carlitos didn't bump his head. When they were gone, everyone else went back to drinking, eating, and otherwise making merry.
Upstairs, Nikki carried Carlitos to their new bedroom - the home in which they would begin the adventure of their life together. She opened the door and pushed it open with one foot.
"I'd like to be the one doing this for you," Carlitos said.
Nikki giggled. "I know, but you're too small." She kissed the tip of his nose. "Maybe when you're older."
Carlitos' face lit up. "Deal," he said.
They went into the room and closed the door behind them. The party lasted well into the night, but as late as it went, it did not last as long as Nikki and Carlitos did.
They were up much, much longer.
