Hanabi liked Neji. Because he was strong, because he was powerful and their babies will be beautiful and strong, never mind that ugly scar on his forehead. At night you can not see it anyway. And what Hanabi wants, Hanabi will always get.

"Chi-chue, I have chosen."

The fight was bitter with her father, but Neji was silent. In the end she won. In these household of no walls, the two with the thickest blood will join.

"Neji. Stop looking at her. You are mine. I will not tolerate this, not when she is so much inferior."

Neji remained silent, turning to lie down on his side of the bed, he close his eyes. The inches in the bed were more like miles, considering how faraway they were. He did not touch his wife. He probably never will. In this house with no walls, every member knew their marriage was never consummated.

"Neji-niisan... Ano... Hyuuga needs an heir. This can not go on, do you understand? This is our duty... We must obey. So please... Neji-niisan..." She flushed prettily at coarse topic, but she was elected to talk to him she would.

Neji thought about her pale eyes, her dark hair and her sweet smile. His movement was mechanic, no sweet smiles, no kisses. He was looking at somebody else. This could not be love-making. Procreation. Nothing more.

"..I hate you." The small words rang out between them as Neji left his wife on the cold bed to dress himself. "Do you hear me? I HATE YOU!"

"... I don't feel anything for you..."

'Are you blaming me now? You knew.'

The unspoken words were so much louder than any spoken words.

"Neji-niisan? Omedetou... I'm glad..." She was sincerely happy, he could tell. Years of watching her had made every single mannerism imprinted in his mind.

He walked away. He was not. He felt like he had betrayed her. Never since that day. He will never be happy.

"Why do you still look at her? Your child is learning how to walk. Her belly is rounded with another man's seed! Look at me!"

"Why should I? You are not her..."

And that had always been the problem. He can only see her. She is the only one in his world.

I only see you in this world of white.
