In New York…
It had been days, fifteen days since Peter Parker was last seen.
When he didn't come back home the other day, his aunt called his friends, the school, and anywhere else the boy could have been but heard nothing. Worried, she called the police as they began the search in New York. When day three rolled, they began pulling out fliers and the news of the boy's disappearance made it to the internet and tv news. J Jonah Jameson blamed Spiderman for the boy's disappearance as the web-slinger hadn't been seen since. But the police already suspected who was responsible as there was another boy who was missing as well, the infamous and claiming to be reformed, Otto Octavius or Doc Ock.
He also hadn't been seen at the same time Peter disappeared. The boy and everything he was researching on were gone as he left no trace. Max Modell gave every bit of information he did as they discovered that Otto was trying to find who was framing him, Lady Octopus. When the police brought her in, thanks to Spider D, Ghost-Spider, and Spider-Girl, she was heavily questioned. Carolyn Trainer explained that Otto used her and attacked Spiderman. She wasn't sure what happened to them as Spiderman helped her escape.
The hunt was then on for Oct, but even with that testimony, it was a stretch. The spiders and the Hobgoblin were searching restlessly for their friend, hoping to find him and beat Ock if he had hurt him.
People were on the lookout for the missing Parker boy and for Doc Ock.
Everyone was praying for his safe return.
People were also fearing the loss of Spiderman in his disappearance. Despite there being heroes being there to stop the villains, Spiderman was the symbol of the city. Without him, the villains, and criminals were becoming more dangerous.
Little did they know of what was coming.
Underground in a Lab…
Loud pounds on a keyboard echoed throughout this lab-made cave as flashes of light gleamed and showered the cave.
The lab had massive tubes as computers collected data, as a single sole worked tirelessly with a small vial of blood on the desk. The data within his desktop showed vast and intricate details of previous scientists. Throughout the endless search, he found the one research he was searching for.
"Such a waste of potential. He used it to create mindless monsters while I have a better use for what this could really do. People worry that Spiderman is not coming back." The silhouette grinned as he looked at the blood.
The blood held great potential as the scientist looked back to his tubes.
"Oh, their prayers will be answered soon enough and can really get started. Everything will go to plan, and everything will be alright again."
The mysterious man then continued his work as the data was complete and a slot was opened by his desk.
"I can't have any distractions and that is where you will come in. Buy me time, and we can get everything that we wanted." He talked to the blood as he placed the blood into the slot, steam breathing as the machine began to activate.
