Chapter 22

AN: Here it is. The SuperCorp wedding with a bit of a mature section at the end after the XXX.

Lena wakes to brown hair in her face and a small warmth pressed against her. Sitting up she sees Ruby and wipes the sleep from her eyes.

Getting her bearings, an uncontrollable grin takes over her face as she realizes what today is. She sits against the headboard, hugging her knees as she stares at the engagement ring on her finger and imagines the wedding ring and bracelet she's about to add.

She's pulled out of her daydreams by Sam poking her head in.

"Oh good you're awake", she whispers motioning to Lena to come close and not wake Ruby.

"Why is Ruby with me?", Lena asks.

"She wanted to and you were reaching out a whining in your sleep", Sam shrugs, "you settled down when she laid beside you".

"Where's Kara?", Lena asks, waiting to see her soon to be wife.

"In the guest bedroom and bathroom getting ready", Sam says, a warning tone in her voice, "We will be up here, keeping you two separated".

Lena smile falters a little at the thought of not being able to see Kara but the excitement keeps her going.

Sam steers her into the bathroom to shower while she wakes Ruby and Lena is grateful for the focus the scalding hot water brings.

"She wants to see me Alex", Kara whines trying to get upstairs to Lena.

"Is she in danger?", Alex asks and when Kara shakes her head continues, "Is she hurt? Is she crying? Is something actually wrong more than your severe attachment issues". Kara shakes her head no to all of Alex questions with a pout on her face. "Then you will be fine and Lena is fine", Alex says, placing her hands on Kara's shoulders, "Now get in this dress so we can walk you down the aisle and you can see Lena".

Nia comes in to help with hair and makeup before going to help put the finishing touches outside and Alex wrestles the dress into Kara's hands to go change before slipping into the suit for herself.

Kara steps out of the bathroom, nervous and blushing, smoothing the fabric of the Kryptonian styled dress to the tearful eyes of Alex, Eliza, and Alura.

"Oh sweetheart", Eliza says, her voice breaking.

"Inah", Alura says, "I never thought I would get to see this".

"You look great sis", Alex says, the quiver in her voice betraying the bravado.

Kara turns to look at herself in the full length mirror fingering the necklace that rest in the hollow of her collarbones. The necklace that was Alura's fulfils the something old and borrowed. Her blue and new somethings come from the earrings, Lena surprised her with. Both mothers fuss over her for a while before Alura goes to take her seat and Eliza says something about one more thing to do.

Alex reaches out smoothing the fold of the collar before poking at the House of El emblem, "Are you going to pin one of these on Lena?".

"After the Kryptonian part of the ceremony yes", Kara says, smiling, "We talked about it and while she won't wear it all the time, she's doing for my traditions. I had special orders to find a way to attach it so it wouldn't mess up her dress though".

The sisters laugh and the conversation turns to lighthearted topics as the wait for their cue to walk to the beach.

An hour and a half after waking, Lena is putting the finishing touches on her makeup while Sam puts the last pin in her hair. Early on, Lena decided on half up half down for her hair. Knowing how much Kara loves the slight wave as it cascades down her back, she also wanted to show off the elegant line of her jaw and neck with the low neckline of the dress.

She has fabric from the first suit she made for Kara as her something blue and earrings Kara gave her as her something new. Her old and borrowed came when Eliza stepped in with tearful eyes.

"Oh, Eliza is everything ok?", Lena asks, worried something is wrong with Kara.

"Oh yes", Eliza says, fanning herself to keep the tears at bay, "I just wanted to check on you. Kara is going to faint when she sees you". Lena allows herself to be inspected by the loving gaze and tries to keep the tears at bay.

"Thank you", Lena says, and notices that Sam and Ruby have disappeared.

"I also have something for you", Eliza says, pulling out a necklace.

Lena gasps at the delicate silver chain holding a small pendant with a green stone.

"Kara always loved this necklace", Eliza says, fondly, "When her powers got to be too much she'd press her ear to my heart and play with this pendant". Lena tears up at the story as Eliza continues, "I don't know if she remembers this necklace but seeing as you're the one that calms her now… and how much she talks about the color of your eyes it's only right you wear it".

The tears fall as Lena turns, lifting the loose hair to allow Eliza to clasp the necklace.

"Thank you", Lena says, turning to hug Eliza. "I'm glad Sam insisted on waterproof mascara", she says, carefully wiping the tears.

Sam pokes her head in again with a soft smile on her face, "You ready?".

Lena nods, vigorously, "I've been ready for this for years".

Eliza gives her a last squeeze before going back to Kara and Sam and Ruby lead Lena down to the beach.

Eliza meets Alex and Kara back downstairs before they make their way to the beach.

"I'm so proud of you", Eliza says, squeezing Kara's arm.

"Thanks, mom", Kara says, leaning over to kiss her cheek.

"And you're going to die when you see her", she teases.

"You saw Lena?", Kara asks, excited, "How was she? Was she ok? Happy? Excited?".

"Relax, honey", Eliza says, "She's a bit overcome with emotions, all happy ones I promise".

Kara turns straight ahead again and softly smiles, "Yeah… me too".

At first Lena wasn't so sure about walking down the aisle without family to walk with her and Kara didn't want to choose who got to walk with her.

They finally came to a compromise. They would walk in from opposite sides, Lena with Sam and Ruby, Kara with Alex and Eliza. Sam and Alex would then walk ahead to the altar and Ruby and Eliza would take their seats in the front row before the brides made their way up together.

Once Eliza, Alex, and Kara reach the edge of the sand, they stop to wait and Kara closes her eyes, tuning in to Lena's heartbeat that is coming closer and closer. By the time, Lena can see her, Kara is nearly vibrating with energy and Alex and Eliza walk her towards the aisle to meet Lena.

Tears are streaming down both womens' faces, curving around the huge smiles they have for each other and their escorts move take their places.

Kara holds out her elbow to Lena, with a goofy smile, "M'lady".

"Dork", Lena laughs and loops her arm through Kara's, looking forward as they make their way up the aisle.

J'onn steps up and starts his speech, thanking everyone for coming, and talking about how long he's known Kara and Lena, but neither woman is really listening.

"Now both women wrote their own vows", J'onn says, turning to the brides, "Lena would you like to go first".

The sound of her name pulls Lena's focus from Kara and she whips her head to J'onn. He nods in encouragement and she takes a deep breath and begins.

"Who knew a Luthor and a Super working together", Lena jokes, saying that phrase from all those years ago when they first started working together, pulling a laugh from their friends and family. "Who knew it would lead to this. To me finding everything I ever dreamed of but didn't think I deserved.

Thank you for understanding me, believing in me, for reaffirming that I am not my family. Thank you for being my friend, giving me a new family, for loving me. I promise to love you, to cherish you, to protect you, to help you, to listen to you, to be there for you, always".

She squeezes Kara's hands and Kara takes a shuddering breath as J'onn gives her cue.

"That day I walked into your office and I knew you were special. We were there to see if you had anything to do with the Venture crash but as soon as I saw you I knew you weren't like your family. Unfortunately, it took the others a little longer to realize that", she jokes, sending a glare at Alex who blushes and looks down. Sam chuckles behind Lena and Alex looks up as Kara continues, her complete focus back on her very soon to be wife. "You proved over and over you are not your family and have proven what I said all those years ago, the Luthor name doesn't deserve you. I can't wait to be Kara Luthor-Danvers and get to be known as Lena Luthor's wife, the best of all of my identities.

Thank you for forgiving me, for helping me, for saving me, for everything you've done for me and our family. I promise to love you, cherish you, protect you, help you, listen to you, save you, to be there for you, always".

There isn't a dry eye in the area by the time the women are done with their vows. Even J'onn has to take a deep breath and wipe away tears before continuing the ceremony.

J'onn does the traditional vows and Kara and Lena both say I do and slide the rings on each others fingers. J'onn then goes through the Kryptonian rights and Lena Luthor of Earth is welcomed into the House of El. Kara beams with pride as she pins the emblem onto Lena's dress.

"Ladies", J'onn says, pride lacing his voice, "You may kiss you bride". With that sentence, Kara's hand slides up from the emblem to Lena's jaw pulling her in as Lena grips the lapels of Kara's tunic/dress and pulls their bodies together.

"Ladies and gentlemen", J'onn cheers, "for the first time… Kara and Lena Luthor-Danvers".

Everyone whoops and cheers, Nia yells, "Supercorp", and the brides kiss once more before turning hand-in-hand to their family.

Everyone follows the brides back to Eliza's house where food and cake and speakers are set up out back.

Winn jumps on the computer and take up the role of DJ saying, "Let's get this party started", and everyone joins in while the brides sneak upstairs to change.

"Rao you're beautiful", Kara says, running her fingers across the open expanse of Lena's shoulders.

"I love you", Lena says, pulling her in for another kiss.

Kara fingers the necklace that sits perfectly above Lena's cleavage, "Where'd you get this?".

"My something old and borrowed", Lena says, "Eliza gave it to me".

"I'd forgotten about this", Kara says looking up from the necklace into Lena's eyes, "I guess I've always had a thing for green".

Lena laughs, kissing her quickly, "Eliza wondered if you'd remember".

"It matches your eyes perfectly", Kara says, gently resting hte necklace back in its place.

Their moment is broken by pounding on the door. "You two better be getting changed", they hear Alex call, "You can wait for your three weeks alone to get nasty".

Kara calls back, "Chill Alex we'll be out in a minute".

Alex starts to retort but is pulled away and Lena calls, "Thanks Sam", before turning back to Kara, "You think you can help me with the zipper".

"How can I want you both naked and clothed so badly at the same time", Kara whines as she admires Lena in the dress for a little longer.

Lena kisses her again, "I love you and I hate to do this but if you need more incentive than seeing me naked…there is food and cake waiting downstairs".

"Hey", Kara says, offended, "I love you and you're more important than food".

"I love you", Lena says, "Now please unzip me".

After getting themselves worked up and another interruption by Alex, the pair finally get changed and make their way down stairs to the party.

"And for the second time", Winn yells, "Kara and Lena Luthor-Danvers".

Everyone cheers as the brides take their pace at the head table.

"Thank you everyone for coming", Lena starts, "I can't say how much this mean to us, and I know my wife just wants to get to the food, so I won't". Kara blushes as the group laughs, "I never thought I would get a happy ending until I met Kara and now thanks to her and all of you, I can't imaging anything better. Please enjoy". Kara leans over to kiss her as the caterers serve everyone.

Once everyone had been served, people started making speeches. Alex went first, with a shockingly tearjerker of a speech, as she apologized for seeing Lena as just another Luthor when she made so happy.

Sam followed telling stories of Lena the workaholic, but also Lena the friend and aunt to her daughter. She spoke about how Lena's family always let her down and turned to Kara, "and after meeting Kara, not only did Lena start talking about something other than work, but she talked of friends, a family she created not related by blood".

After Sam's speech caused more tears and a strong hug from Lena, Winn put on some quiet music and everyone sat down to enjoy their food.

After they ate, and cut the cake, Lena and Kara did the traditional first dance before opening up the floor to everyone.

Winn still in charge of DJing thought it would be funny to play any song that mentioned a superhero and Kara just had to dance to every single one. As Charlie Puth sang 'I'll be there to save the day, Superman got nothing on me' Kara whispered, "It's true. I beat him".

Lena turned her head to kiss Kara's cheek, "You're so much better than him, in every way".

Later on, as the Chainsmokers sang about a list of superheroes, Kara pouted and said, "I'm not on the list".

Lena kissed away the pout and sang along with a couple lines, "I'm not looking for somebody with some superhuman gifts. Some superhero, some fairytale bliss, just something I can turn to, somebody I can miss, oh I want something just like this".

Kara smiles and kisses her, "This is what I've always dreamt of and never thought I'd have because of the gift. I love you".

Lena kisses her again and both women get lost in the kiss for a while until Sam cuts in,

"Hey you two better hurry if you want to catch the plane".

They both thank her and start making the rounds, thanking everyone for coming as they make their way up to the house.

Since Lena was in charge of planning the honeymoon, she had taken it upon herself to not only make good use of the company jet but also to make some interior upgrades. Where the cabin used to be a pretty basic setup for a private jet, she had put in a couple of normal seats as well as a rather comfortable couch and a TV. She also added in another wall blocking off the rear of the plane to create a bedroom space with room enough for a king sized bed. Of course, the first thing Kara did was flop on it.

"This is so awesome", she cheered, leaning back on her elbows as she watched Lena rifle through her bag.

"Glad you like it, darling", Lena smiles back at her wife, "Give me a few minutes to wash up".

"Ok", Kara nods, jumping up to kiss Lena as she heads to the ensuite, before going to grab her own PJs.

Usually, she just wore an old t-shirt to bed, preferably one of Lena's, but seeing as this was their wedding night, Kara didn't want to make any assumptions but she did try a little harder. She had made a special trip to the store a few days ago and bought a nice, deep blue, lingerie set.

She quickly changed and tidied up their bag, hiding them in the corner, before jumping back on the bed. Superspeed was not her friend as now she was waiting on Lena, and getting rather fidgety. Thankfully, she didnt' have to last long and sat up quickly as she heard Lena open the door. Her first look at Lena had her completely forgetting about whatever sexy pose she was trying, and failing, to pull off.

"Woah", Kara breathes out.

"Careful, darling", Lena teases, her Irish accent showing. Kara sits completely still as Lena approaches her and traddles her lap. "I suppose that means you like it", Lena teases, playing with the hairs at the back of Kara's neck as she takes in the silky, green slip that Lena is wearing.

Kara can't seem to form the words to describe how amazing Lena looks and can only nod her head before nuzzling into Lena's neck, dragging her lips across the warm pale skin. "Rao", Kara says, her breath hot against Lena's neck, "You look… I… Rao".

"Eloquent", Lena says, teasing as she drags her tongue across Kara's collarbone, shown off in the outfit she chose, "and did you wear this for me?".

"Yes", Kara whimpers, trying to ground herself as she moves her hands from Lena's hips to the sheets.

"One more upgrade I made to the plane…", Lena starts kissing her way up to Kara's ear, "Red lights, please". Kara feels her strength dissipate and she moves her hands back to Lena's hips, thumbs pressing into her hipbones the way she knows drives Lena crazy.

As soon as she feels Kara settle in and the fear of hurting her go away, Lena kisses her, hard, deep, passionately as she pushes her to her back, using her bodyweight to hold her to the mattress, as they get lost in each other. Hands roam as fancy new clothes are scattered around the room, and the two women share their first night as a married couple.

Sweaty, sated, and exhausted but not ready for the night to end, Lena finds herself in Kara's arms, her back to Kara's front as they catch their breath and enjoy the quiet hum of the engine, lost in thought and memory.

"If happy ever after did exist I would still be holding you like this", Kara starts to sing, causing Lena to turn around. "I always thought that was a sad song but now", Kara starts, looking down at her wife, "seems you and I get our happy ever after because I plan on holding you like this forever"

"Kara", Lena breathes out, lost for words, as she turns over and straddles Kara, kissing her deeply, starting round three.

AN: They're married!

I don't have it fully fleshed out yet but we are getting close to the end of this part, no more than 10 chapters depending on how I decided to break it up.
