Arrival of the North

During a dragon raid on Berk, a man with a night fury and a metallic dragon attempt to stop the fighting. The attempts of breaking up the fight have failed because the Vikings keep trying to shoot the trio and the raiding dragons.

The metallic dragon said, "Okay, this is not working."

The cloaked man answered, "I told you Elena, Vikings have rocks for brains."

The Night Fury said, "Why don't we just approach the village after the raid. Unfortunately, I can't come but you two could talk to them."

"Good idea, Toothless." Elena responded.

"You're a headache." The man answered.

Toothless then asked, "Me or her?"

"Both." The man replied.

Elena remarked childishly, "But you love me don't you Hiccup."

Hiccup then grunted in annoyance as they land somewhat far from the village. Elena then to the form of a young adult woman in with a casual winter clothing with runes tattooed under her amber eyes and down her arms and legs. Hiccup changed into a trench coat but the mask he wore during missions was left on.

~ At First Light ~

The trio slept till first light and walked to the village and a well-built man stood before them and asked, "What brings you here?"

Elena answered, "We come to make an Alliance so we could have a friendly relationship with a tribe in the Barbaric Archipelago."

The man replied, "I would have to consider that and get the elders opinions on it."

Hiccup said, "Understandable, we could help you fix the village."

The man answered, "Nonsense, name is Stoick the Vast."

"Dark Phoenix and this is Elena." Hiccup replied with decent respected.

Stoick replied, "Good to meet you two. Unfortunately, I have to repair the damage due to the dragon raids being more frequent. Astrid, would you give these two a tour around Berk?"

A blond female Viking walked up and said, "Sure thing Chief."

~ After The Tour ~

The tour was rather short, but Hiccup couldn't say it was informative even though he had already been here before. Astrid concluded and said, "Fishlegs would know more on Berk history. So, if you like History you can ask him." Then asks, "Don't want to be rude but are those runes under your eyes Elena."

Elena replied, "Oh, yeah. The runes are due to a powerful connection to heat and fire. My mother has them too. She helps Dark Phoenix run a grand tower known as the Generator in what some people would call the Lone City of the North."

Astrid then asked curiously, "What is it like there?"

Elena answered, "A lot colder than this place but larger."

Astrid then looked to Hiccup and said, "Also, Gobber would probably want to learn what metal it is and how to forge it if you don't mind."

Hiccup answered, "I was thinking of heading that way anyway."

Elena said, "I'm coming along besides I like the heat."

~ At The Forge ~

The two had reached the forge and Gobber was smithing away.

Hiccup asked, "Hey."

Gobber answered, "Eh, I saw the metal and I was wondering how to make it."

Hiccup said, "Yeah, it's stainless steel it has similar properties to normal steel but has a cool little ability."

"What is it." Gobber asked interested.

Hiccup answered, "It can withstand dangerously cold environments without losing its properties."

Gobber then said, "Well that's incredible 'Iccup."

Hiccup looked at Gobber with a curious look in his eyes as he asks, "What?"

Gobber chuckled to himself as he said, "Eh, come on 'Iccup I know what ye like and ye accent doesn't exactly help in hiding ye identity from me. Also, ye armour is similar to this." He showed the duo a blueprint that Hiccup had forgotten about.

Elena said, "Huh, I guess we should clue you in on what we're doing here."

"What?" Now it was Gobber's turn to be confused.

Hiccup then said, "Gobber, we heard about an increase in raids and have a theory that is most likely the case. The nest must think that winter is coming but I believe it's the frost."

Gobber asks, "Ye know where the nest is?"

"I do." Hiccup said then answers, "But the problem is dealing with the Queen there she as tall as the volcano itself."

Gobber asks, "It must be at Helhelms Gate, isn't it?"

Hiccup nodded and Gobber then asks, "And what is the 'Frost'?"

Elena explained, "It's what Hiccup, my mother and I refer to as the effects of a powerful dragon spirit called The Great Storm. Hiccup and my mother have had the longest encounters with the Mad Dragon."

Gobber was shocked and said, "The Chief needs to know."

Elena then said, "We will tell him when we get the chance."

Stoick comes to the forge and says, "Gobber we need you at the hall and it concerns you two as well."

~ At The Hall ~

At the hall the council of the village elders and both Hiccup and Elena as they talk about the alliance. After introductions Stoick then starts the discussion.

Stoick asks, "How well off is your tribe?"

Elena answers, "It is fairly well as the food supples had been slowing increasing in produce meaning that we have a growing surplus of food if a storm strikes our homes. Gathering has been a bit slower than usual but not at a rate we can't sustain ourselves. Our guards have been at their best. Apart from a bit of discontent we're pretty hopeful for our future."

Spitelout then asks, "How do you run your village?"

Elena said, "Dark Phoenix is the City's Leader but when his not there my mother becomes the Leader until he returns to it. However, the city runs at a good pace and is autonomous."

Spitelout then questions, "What do you mean by autonomous?"

Hiccup answers, "The City works off of departments to lower the strain on command. I am still aware of the city's problems, but I only get involved when thinks get serious. We have a Chief of Engineering called Eugene, she worries about the stability of the city's building and constructing new buildings while repairing others. We have Mikael the president of Medicine when an illness shows up or something happens that have to deal with the medical side of things, he calls the shots. Then we have Ralph Chief of security and General of the city's troops, he is rarely called into action, but he keeps the cities eyes sharper than ever and respond to hostiles like a very infuriated Nightmare. And our bio-tonics leader Robin, he keeps track of food growth and medical plants as well as the canteens filled correctly. There's quite a few but not enough time."

Gobber said, "Impressive."

Stoick then asks, "How many dragon raids?"

Hiccup said, "There was only ever one but that was five years ago with only one dragon, and I was still building the city centre."

Spitelout then said, "So, I guess you want Berk to help defend you from this dragon."

Hiccup answered, "I don't because I've seen its power. It's something else, a thing that cannot be defeated nor killed but something you can only pray to endure its abuse. Our greatest defence is the windbreakers and the Generator. It's also the strongest part of the city."

Stoick then said, "I see, we've also had dragon troubles with the nest." Then asks, "Would you be able to aid us?"

Elena said, "We can, and we also know where the nest is, but you're going to need prepare for a hell of a fight. We may need dragons to aid us for we share a common enemy with their Queen."

Spitelout then repeat with uncertainty, "Queen?!"

Stoick then said in a growl, "Where is the nest?"

Hiccup said, "Helhelm's Gate but you have to gather strength along with the dragons because you will be up against what is literally the size of a mountain with enough fire power to turn your warrior prowess into nothing but a smouldering wreck."

Gobber said, "The lad has a point Stoick from what 'is saying is a monstrous beast could kill us all."

Stoick reflected a bit and asks, "How many?"

Hiccup answered, "As many as you will allow."

Stoick then said, "Then don't fail me. I'll get our best and you train them to ride dragons."

Elena then asks, "We have a dragon friend outside of your village can we go get him?"

Stoick said, "Aye, I'll tell the villagers that you dragon is an ally."

Hiccup and Elena then leave to get Toothless while Stoick announces the news.
