The Jurassic Loud House
Chapter 4: I'm Gonna be the King!
Lincoln, learning that he is destined to be the King of Jurassic World, rallies the people and dinosaurs behind him, but Angus gives him some life lessons that come with such a title. Morag grows more and more irritated with Jurassic World's "guests".
Before I begin this chapter, I thought I should create a quick guide as to which Loud sibling has which dinosaur to avoid potential confusion. Lori – Zeb the Giganotosaurus, Leni – Spike the Stegosaurus, Luna – Toro the Carnotaurus, Luan – Allie the Allosaurus, Lynn – Bumpy the Ankylosaurus, Lincoln – Rexy the Tyrannosaurus, Lucy – Petry the Pteranodon, Lana – Cera the Triceratops, Lola – Princess the Sinoceratops, Lisa – Tickles the Therizinosaurus, and Lily – Blue the Velociraptor.
It was the next morning in Jurassic World, where a continuously unhappy Morag strolled down the hallway, still cross with the Louds and their annoying dinosaurs. Behind her, Lincoln and Rexy, who was about as large as him now, got out of their room and began confidently strolling down the hallway.
"Good morning, Morag", Lincoln said to the woman.
Rexy, hungry for breakfast, instinctively tried to bite Morag with her now massive jaw. Luckily, she missed due to Morag jumping out of the way.
"Watch your filthy lizard pet to watch what she eats!", Morag snapped.
"Oh, uh, sorry, I think she's just extra hungry", a nervous Lincoln replied. "Come on, Rexy, let's get you something to eat".
Rexy, insulted by Morag referring to her as a "filthy lizard pet", let out a snort accompanied by a cross look at her. Morag returned the favor, given her current disdain for the dinosaurs as well as the Louds. Once they had gone, Morag sighed and continued her caretaking duties. But then, just as she was about to do so, Toro and Allie came barging out into the hallway, their playful banter with each other causing some ruckus. Unfortunately for Morag, she ended up getting caught in it, trying not to get trampled or bitten by the two playful carnivores. Morag, her hair in a mess, got away from them as Allie and Toro continued playing with each other down the stairs.
"Yeah, you get her, Toro!", Luna cheered on her dinosaur.
"Wow, watching our dinosaurs play really bites, doesn't it, Luna?", Luan joked as she and her sister happily ran down the stairs as well.
Morag, angrier, let out a growl before Leni and Spike walked out of their own room.
"Spike! You have a scratch on your shoulder!", Leni said to her dinosaur. "Here, let me take care of it. Turn around".
Listening to his owner, Spike turned around to her. In doing so, his tail ended up whacking itself towards Morag. She was able to leap out of the way, but some of the spikes on the tail's tip ended up leaving some tears through some of her clothing.
"There we go! All better!", an innocent Leni said as Spike smiled to her. "Oh, my gosh, Morag! Your hair is literally a mess! Would you like me to give you a nice makeover?", she asked, noticing a now raggedy Morag next to her.
"I don't need your stupid, bloody makeover, you stupid twat!", Morag yelled as loud as she could, already snapping after what she had been through.
Spike, noticing that she hurt Leni's feelings, stepped on Morag's foot, causing her to yelp in pain while clasping it.
"Ow, ow, ow!", Morag yelped in pain.
"Spike, that wasn't very nice", Leni said. "Come on, let's go get you some veggies to eat", she said as her and Spike descended down the stairs.
"Only…for…a week…", Morag growled after she stopped hugging her foot.
Outside of the castle, Lincoln was ready to show Jurassic World that he was ready to become the new King. Him and Rexy strolled with confidence as they walked towards Angus.
"Good day, lad", Angus smiled. "And good day to you, too, Rexy".
"You got that right. I'm about to be the new King", Lincoln smiled. "You might wanna tell Morag to start polishing that crown", he joked.
"I certainly will not be doing that", Angus joked back. Then, noticing that Lincoln was serious about being the King, quickly followed him into the town.
Lincoln
I used to feel like I'm nobody
'Cause my sisters always steal the spotlight
But now, I know that I can be somebody
The most special Loud in all the land
I'm gonna turn some heads around
Make everybody know my name
I'll bring a little Loud into this quiet place
And no one's ever gonna steal my spotlight
I'll be the talk of the town
This old book's gotta go
Ace Savvy's all you should know
Have a breakfast burrito on me
Step right up to my show
For some magic and gold
You can thank me later 'cause
I'm gonna be the King!
It's my time, my turn to be
The new King in history
Gonna show my family
I'm ready to rule
I'm gonna be the King!
Angus
When you help out other people
Don't just do it to be in the spotlight
Or be the talk of the town
If you want to wear the crown
Go make this island a better place
Look into their hearts and make some real change
'Cause magic tricks and short-term fixes are not the answer
You've got to do some good deeds
Lincoln
I hear you loud and clear
I have to act more sincere
That's the secret for me to win
'Cause if I do this right
I'll be in the spotlight
You can thank me later 'cause
Citizens
He's gonna be the King!
All
It's my time, my turn to be
The new King in history
Gonna show my family
I'm ready to rule
Citizens
He's gonna be the King!
"So, did I make life better out here or what?", Lincoln asked the people and dinosaurs alike.
In response, the people cheered for their future King while all the dinosaurs roared victoriously. Rexy, who was standing above them with Lincoln, let out her iconic Tyrannosaurus roar, all be it not too ferocious since she was far from fully grown.
"Alright. Then how do make this official?", Lincoln asked with pride.
"We have a coronation!", a townsperson replied.
"Lincoln! Lincoln! Lincoln! Lincoln!", the townspeople chanted while the dinosaurs continued their roars of allegiance.
"Oh, how glorious", Morag interjected. "Jurassic World will have a new King…for a week".
The townspeople and dinosaurs around him all looked at Lincoln with sad and disappointed faces. Even Rexy gave him a look of worry that she did not want him to stay only for a week.
"King for a week?", another person questioned.
"Actually, six days, eleven hours, twenty-three minutes, and four seconds, but who's counting?", Morag chimed in.
"I burst into a dance for a tourist?", a woman asked.
A random Majungasaurus gave out an aggravated roar and subsequent snort. It then turned around, and in doing so, the other people and dinosaurs (bar Rexy) did the same and went back to their respective homes.
"Such a shame…", Morag said with sarcasm as she smirked.
Lincoln looked down to the ground in disappointment, realizing that his limited stay in Jurassic World is what costed him the title of King.
"Lincoln?", Angus ran up to the boy.
All Lincoln did was sigh as Rexy looked at him with worry.
"Take heart, lad. The hard part is over", Angus reassured him. "Our island wants you to be the King. Now, all you need to do is convince your family to move here, eh? Easy peasy".
Lincoln smiled at Angus, realizing that he was right. He then looked over at Rexy who gave out some happy snarls, faithful that Lincoln could do both that and rule over Jurassic World.
Later, Angus joined Lincoln and Rexy in their room. Lily and Blue were also present since Rexy and Blue were still very close after they first met.
"So, how do I look?", Lincoln asked Angus in his blue convincing suit.
"Oh, brilliant sir. But, why a suit?", Angus couldn't help but ask.
"It's my blue convincing suit. Patent pending", Lincoln answered. "I wear it whenever I need to talk my family into something. It's never let me down, right Lil?"
"Man with plan!", Lily pointed at her brother.
After running this by Angus, Lincoln, Rexy, Lily, and Blue all stood in front of the same pasture from before with all the herbivorous dinosaurs grazing in it. In front of them were their parents and sisters, as well as each of their dinosaurs they had bonds with.
"Jurassic World…", Lincoln began his narration. "A representation of the Loud family from the ancient times of 65 million years ago, when our family first rose to prominence. When Angus first brought us here, we came here to find our ancestors, but we found so much more. We found our land, our history, and most importantly, we found our dinosaurs", he smiled directing his attention to his sisters' dinosaurs.
Hearing this, the sisters' dinosaurs started loving on them, in which all the sisters pet them in agreement with their brother.
"Who's a good princess?", Lola asked Princess.
"You're my best friend, Bumpy", Lynn said to Bumpy.
"Who's a good, big boy?", Lori said in a cute voice to Zeb.
Lincoln continued. "But soon, our vacation will end, and we'll have to leave our dinosaurs behind!"
"Aah! Oh, no!", the sisters reacted.
"Unless we fulfill our destiny!", Lincoln declared. "How, you may ask? By moving to Jurassic World, where the Louds can truly live loud!"
Once the presentation ended, Rexy let out another roar to emphasize the newfound importance of dinosaurs in their lives.
"Thanks, Rexy", Lincoln pet his dinosaur.
"I'm in", Lori agreed. "What say you guys?"
"You kidding? I'd never leave Cera!", Lana held her Triceratops closer.
"Or a chance to discover newfound research on Dinosauria!", Lisa added. Tickles gave her a condescending look. "Oh, and you as well, Tickles".
"Heck, yeah! Jurassic World rocks, dudes!", an enthusiastic Luna shouted.
"What about you guys?", Lincoln asked his parents.
"Well, son, I see your point", Lynn Sr. said, "but I'm not sure this is a good idea. Look, kiddo, dinosaurs are cool and all, but don't you think just bringing them back like this is a little dangerous. Besides, I'm not sure I trust having you kids hang so closely around them. Especially those carnivores…", he shuddered a bit.
"But, honey, look at how happy the kids are", Rita countered. "Besides, you and I could live a life of luxury here we've never had at home. Besides, if any of these dinosaurs were gonna eat our kids, don't you think they would have done so by now?"
"I don't know…", Lynn Sr. kept thinking.
"Please, dad…", Leni begged.
"We promise to take care of them!", Lynn Jr. added.
"You really don't want to back to a house with only one bathroom?", Lincoln asked his father.
Right when Lincoln said this, Lynn Sr. immediately made up his mind. "Kids! I changed my mind! We are officially moving to Jurassic World!" The Loud kids and their dinosaurs all cheered. "But I will be keeping my eye on those dinosaurs", he advised once they finished their cheering.
"Thanks, mom and dad!", the Loud kids all hugged their parents.
After deciding to stay in Jurassic World, a few months had passed, in which Lincoln and his family campaigned for him to be crowned King. To no one's surprise, after a few months of campaigning, the coronation for Lincoln Loud was being held. Also, it's worth mentioning that the Louds' dinosaurs were now extremely large and matured. None of them, except for Blue, were fully grown yet, but they were certainly large enough to be classified as adults.
On a large rock positioned above the rest of the land of the island, Lincoln and the adult Rexy stood atop it, where the musicians around them all played the theme of Jurassic World.
"Man, this tune is rocking!", Luna commented.
"Would be nice if there were a blockbuster movie series with this above average soundtrack", Lisa smiled.
*Ya'll see what I did there?*
As the theme music continued playing, Angus and Morag both approached Lincoln, with Morag holding a crown made of bone that used dinosaur teeth for its many crests.
"Go, Lincoln!", Lori shouted.
"That's my brother!", Lynn cheered him on.
"Loyalty runs in the family", Lola bragged.
"A-thank you", Lincoln blew kissed to the crowd.
"Ahem", Morag silenced the audience. "For 65 million years, our Earth has been without its true walkers and rulers ever since that dreaded meteor shower wiping all the dinosaurs out. With the help of Angus, we were able to bring the dinosaurs back…", she said with noticeable irritation. "But they were still so sad, not having their rightful leaders to guide and love them. But from today on, our dinosaurs shall be leaderless no more". The crowd cheered again and once again went silent. "Lincoln Albert Loud, by the powers vested in me…", she struggled to put the crown on his head. "By the powers vested in me…I dub…thee…King of…", noticing she was struggling, Angus finally assisted her in putting the crown on his head, forcing herself to say it. "The King of Jurassic World!"
Immediately when he was crowned, Rexy gave out a triumphant Tyrannosaurus roar and the crowd went wild once again! Lincoln jumped up into the air with joy, triumphant that he was now officially the King of Jurassic World! This would now begin a new age for both the Louds and the dinosaurs!
Roaring heard through open halls
Enough to hear an echo call
Trying to run from carnivores on time
Riding dinos on the royal tiles
Sometimes, running for miles
It's the perfect home for rest of our lives!
Jurassic Loud House! Jurassic Loud House!
Yell, roar, getting wet
Got our own prehistoric pets
Jurassic Loud House! Jurassic Loud House!
All the room we'll ever need
It feels good to finally breathe!
Jurassic! Loud House! Jurassic! Loud House!
It's all about me now
Spotlight on Lincoln Loud
Stepping out of the crowd to really shine
Dub me the one and only
The spotlight is on me
And this time, it's all mine!
Jurassic Loud House! Jurassic Loud House!
So much empty space
Dinosaurs in your face!
Jurassic Loud House! Jurassic Loud House!
Eleven kids, elven dinosaurs
That's all we really need anymore
Jurassic Loud House! Jurassic Loud House
Home was sweet but so compact
Why would we return to that?!
Jurassic! Loud House! Jurassic! Loud House!
"Juwassic Loud House!", Lily popped in.
Meanwhile, outside the castle, Morag was on her phone yet again. "Hello, Henry, this is Morag. It seems our Loud infestation is growing rather serious". Henry said something inaudible. "Yes, Henry, the time has come to release…the Indominus Rex…", she chuckled evilly.
To be continued…
