80% of the world possesses some superhuman ability called a quirk. The other 20% are quirkless. When quirks first started to appear, the world was thrown into chaos. Villains rose to the streets, causing confusion and putting fear into the minds of others. Soon heroes rose to combat these villains to be the light and hope for people everywhere. Years later, heroes and quirks are at the forefront of society. Fast forward to Izuku Midoryia, a quirkless middle schooler. He was bullied for being quirkless and wanting to be a hero for most of his life. But here is where things change from the original storyline: Katsuki Bakugou, who was Izuku's best friend since they were kids. Bakugou had an explosion quirk, in which he sweats nitroglycerin from his hands can ignite it on command. In the original storyline, he bullied Izuku for being quirkless since there were four and even gave him the nickname "Deku," meaning useless.
But in this AU, he didn't bully Midoryia but had been trying to persuade him not to be a hero and chose a different path because being a hero is a dangerous line of work, and he could die from it. Bakugou didn't want that. And since their middle school class was scared of Katsuki and his quirk, they did what he wanted and didn't bully Izuku but tried to persuade him not to be a hero. One of their classmates suggested that Izuku goes into UA's support course instead of the hero course since he was great at quirk analysis. He could know how a quirk worked and its strengths and weaknesses by watching the user of that quirk, also known as pro heroes, in action. UA was a prestigious school in Japan with a 2% acceptance rate and was known for creating some of the best pro heroes the world has ever seen. Izuku loved the idea and planned on doing so once he entered UA, while Katsuki would join the hero course and become a hero-in-training.
Also, I am adding my character to this story, introducing Ira Akoi. She has reddish-brown hair and beep ocean blue eyes. Her quirk is called Techno Shock. She can hack into any technological device or system; if it needs power to operate and connects to the Internet, she can hack it. She can also send out electricity charges to one individual or send out a hefty charge and hit many people within a certain radius. She was Nezu's, the principal at UA, personal student. But when she was twelve, around the age of a first year in middle school, she strangely disappeared. Back to Bakugou and Midoryia, when they were third years in middle school, they were attacked by a villain under a bridge. All Might, the number one pro hero at the time, had come to their rescue. He had heard about what they wanted to be in the future, and he promised to help them achieve this dream. He would recommend Bakugou for the hero course and Midoryia for the support course. After they part ways, All Might went to the police station to turn the villain in, and the two boys continued their way home but never made it. The story mostly takes place about ten months after the boys' disappearance.
