ONI Meeting Office, Reach City
Kushina looked at Mito embarrassed by her last comment while Naruto looked on in shock. Looking to the other faces of the members he could see that they were all in agreement with her. 'Is this something common in my clan' he thought looking over to Kushina now and seeing her expression. 'I guess so'
"Before you go into your moment with all that, let's finish this up. I will agree to the alliance as that would help both of us. As for the arranged marriages, I will say let's start off with dating. I already have numerous previous engagements and I don't want to jump into too many new arrangements" he explained as Mito looked at him with a frown before nodding in agreement. It would be better for them as well, so they can fork stronger relations.
"Let's signed the documents so you can hurry up and introduce me to all my great grandkids" said Mito as the group came together with finalizing the details of the alliance. A lot of it covered resources and technology but the terms were easily agreeable. With the final signing of the document, Mito jumped up from her seat and dragged Kushina and Naruto to meet the kids.
Few Days Later
Naruto was relaxing on the porch of his large house on his ship. Mito had decided to stay for a bit, so she was inside with Kushina spending time with his kids. In his hand was a pad containing the information he gained while talking to the Colonel. Displayed in bold letters were something he was definitely not expecting.
Spartan III Program
The Colonel wanted to recreate Catherine's project but use orphans instead. They already had a massive grudge against the Covenant. They were also wanting to use a lot more kids with cheaper methods of the Spartan creation. This was the classic quality vs quantity. Catherine's method vs Ackerson. He didn't like this one bit but he could read between the lines. This is going to happen no matter what. What we can do is make things better.
"You called for us" spoke a voice making him look up to see a group in front of him. Waving a hand to the side for them to sit they did. Sitting next to him was Catherine, Tsunade, Shizune, Sakura, Ellen, and Tenten.
"Kushina and Mito has all the kid's attention so what's this about?" asked Tsunade to which he placed his pad in the center and pressed a button to display the information. Appearing on the display was also Precious Justice, Serina, and Kora who were reviewing the information.
"Got to be kidding!"
"This is all accurate and directly from the top of ONI. They are creating another Spartan generation that will be sacrificial pawns for impossible missions" he answered as they looked through the information
"They would be dying without a fighting chance. The drugs that would be pumping through their body will make them heavily dependent on them or they go crazy and die" stated Catherine looking at the medical details.
"Their armor will be cheap knock offs of the current Mjolnir armor. They would be shredded" added Tenten
"I got authorization to be involved in this project. The amount of control I would be given depends on how much I want to be invested. From little control to complete control. This project will be happening but with this I can make the best of a bad situation.
If we fund the project and take a role in their missions, we will have full control of them. I thought of this and decided to go along with this. We will change the fate of these kids. We will also use this as a opportunity to right our wrongs" he stated look at Catherine at the end. Knowing that death or a terrible drug dependent life was coming for these kids, the rest agreed.
"Sakura, Tsunade, Shizune, Catherine. You are to focus your efforts on the medical and training process. Remove the need for those drugs and make them have a least a shot at reaching the capabilities of the previous generation. Tenten, Ellen, and you work on this as well Catherine, the armor. No cheap material. The A.I.'s here will help all of you in this process.
When each of these companies are finished with their training, they will be transferred underneath my command for further training. This will be lead by Jerome and Leon as well as the other Spartans here. We will do their assigned missions only when they are ready" he finished
"It will be a couple of years before they are ready" explained Catherine to which he smirked. "Good thing we will be using that time to focus on building up our forces and fleet"
"We will take care of the planning from here. Don't forget you promise to unlock the kids chakra" reminded Sakura getting a "I better get started on that or they will have head". Kissing them goodbye he left them to continue on the plans without him.
Walking into the backyard Naruto came across Mito and Kushina playing with the kids. Stepping into the area he gain their immediate attention as he smiled at them. "So who is ready to unlock their chakra?" he called out as they all raced to him fighting to be first. Calming them down he had them all sit down in front of him as he did the same.
"Now follow my position and do as I say. I will be unlocking all of yours at the same time" he instructed as he had them close their eyes and form the ram seal. Kushina and Mito were standing behind him watching the event unfold. He had search deep inside them as he let his chakra slowly pour out of him.
Like a small blue mist it crawled up to each of the kids and latched onto them forming a bubble. Each one could feel their father's chakra latch onto them forming a warm protective bubble. Getting use to the energy and the feeling they looked for their own within and slowly pulled it out as Naruto's chakra helped.
From watching behind them the two could see and feel the warm strength of Naruto's chakra as it leaked out and connected with his kids. His chakra had such a strong effect they could feel their own chakra humming in harmonization. As if it wanted to connect with his. While the two felt this effect before with other family members, it was never this strong and powerful. It was empowering, peaceful, serenity, and addicting. They had to restrain themselves from letting out their own chakra as it could interfere with the kids finding their own with too many chakra signals moving about.
It was not long that one by one, the kids started releasing their own chakra from themselves. Naruto could see that some had larger reserves, some had denser, some with special properties, and others and more control. But they were all large in their own right compared to other kids their ages.
"I'm proud of you all. You unlocked your chakra" started Naruto as the kids cheered in unison. "Now the first step in your training is control. I will be teaching you how to control your chakra while feeding you my own so you can continue learning and growing your own" he explained as they all could feel a energy cord connected to their chakra pools. It wasn't uncomfortable but they could all feel Naruto's chakra leaking into it and feeding their own very slowly. "Let's begin" he started holding up a leaf.
It was later in the day that Naruto clones could be seen bringing in the exhausted kids to their rooms while the original, Mito, and Kushina stayed behind. It was quite as the three sat in peace until Mito spoke up.
"You have some wonderful kids. Each one filled with hopes and dreams of their own. Such excitement and life they give. Makes me want to have kids again" she smiled as the two looked at her in shock. "oh, don't be like that. We Uzumaki's stay in our prime for years. I can still pop out a kid or two if I want to" she smirked at them
"How old are you?" questioned Kushina as even she didn't know. "You shouldn't ask a lady her age and I won't tell" was her reply glaring at Kushina.
"But have you given thought to the females I told you about? Karin, Fuka, and Tayuya. All females around your age and of different personalities. Single and strong Uzumaki characteristics" she offered as Kushina muttered "I wonder why she didn't include herself with what she said before" to which both heard.
"I could also add you too Kushina-chan so hush" she warned seeing her blushing face.
"I don't know Mito. I really have to meet them. Can't go off too much on what you said" he answered intentionally ignoring the previous comments.
"Alright. I send for them to meet you here. They are already on Reach so they will come by tomorrow" she stated as Naruto nodded and prepared for their arrival. A simple walk through the dome would sacrifice at this moment. He will get to know them and city how the citizens onboard are doing. But that also reminded him, be needed to check up on some things down in the bay.
"Alright, I'll leave the kids in your capable hands. I need to check on the incoming personal and the projects" he finished waving them goodbye and walking over to Tenten to bring her along. These were her projects anyways.
Ship Bay
An elevator door opened from Naruto and Tenten to walk out of. The two were walking along the catwalk looking on at multiple things taking place in the large bay. On different platforms ships were either being worked on or being newly constructed. He could see on a platform the frames of a heavy cruiser being installed. Working on it in unison were drones, human engineers, sentinels, feylne's, and even Huragok. It looks like they set up a pattern in order to work well with each other. It really did make things easier for everyone as some of their sizes help build the small and bigger tasks. Not too far he could see the work being finished on two Frigates. He also knew it the sperate bay Kushina's Punic class ship and Cutter' Spirit of Fire were being worked on.
Moving past the work being conducted on the ships he could see multiple drop ships and passenger ships landing and offloading rolls of marines. They looked on as they walked up to a counter and started in processing with the officials who were waiting for them. Off on another side he saw soldiers offloading and in processing in another area. Last much to his surprise he saw pelicans off to the side offloading special forces and ODST.
"Apparently the UNSC is giving us its full effort. They are providing us with enough personal that every stationed could be manned" spoke up Tenten
"Good but all these personal need to be trained on the new equipment we have as well as our procedures. It will take quite a bit of time before they are all familiarized with everything" he answered as they entered a set of double doors showing vehicles and aircrafts.
Off to the side a assembly line was in production creating vehicles and crafts to be by the personal onboard. The production line was already in full production producing Tenten's three created vehicles. The battle walker, shark, and behemoth. While the behemoth of course took a long time to produce due to it size, it is well worth it. Rows of them were ready for combat as their pilots were in them conducting training. It would be a turning point in the ground war and thanks to the Spirit of Fire, more designs were being produces.
Next to that production line a new one was being started making vehicles obtained from the ship. Grizzlies , sparrowhawks, cyclops, sabre, and a old filed but updated known as mantis were being produced. He knew about the other designs they had but it would be on pause until more production lines could be created for them. While all these advancements were good, he needed trained personnel to use them and that would take some time.
With the quick look over of the aircraft and vehicles they walked into a section for the classified bay. Entering in their identification the doors opened up for the two to show a dark room with glowing lights around. Tenten tapping a button had the bay lights open up to reveal what she calls her baby.
"What do you think? Isn't she beautiful" she states proudly walking up to the machine. "I finally created my dream. The answer to the Covenants scrab. MECHA-GODZILLA!" she finished with a shout as she uses her hands to show it off.
Looking up at the large mech he took in all its characteristics, as well as its weaponry. "The Scrabs equal? I don't think the two are in the same class. Looks more like it's superior"
"Ha! Damn straight it is!"
"I said look. Here is the question for you. Can it move, function, and perform in combat?" he questioned as she looked away a bit embarrassed.
"That's just the thing. The systems are too complicated to be operated by a human and it would take multiple humans' months to maybe even years of training to use it properly. The only option I have was to use a A.I. to pilot it. And here is where you come in" she paused as he looked her. "Go on".
"I had Kora and PJ test the mech and they both were able to easily pilot it. They set the systems in the mech for it to be controlled by a dum A.I. But I need you to request them from the UNSC" she finished looking a bit shy.
"Kora, how effective is this mech and production time?" he spoke looking at the pad as Kora appeared on it.
"From the test I have performed on it I can say one of these will have devastating effective. It could be considered a massive threat to any low flying ship. The production time for one of these if streamline and given the proper resources would be 5 months to build one. The more effort we put into building more the shorter the time we can make it or we can increase the quantity of how many we make at once but extend the build time" she reported
"I will look into getting those dum A.I.s. Start the production of more of these. Now the other two projects" he asked as she escorted him to a nearby rack with a cloth over it. Removing the cloth, it revealed a heavy set of armor with numerous weaponry on it.
"Thanks to Catherine we were able to get these designs and build one right away. I've changed out the power supply and added a shield generator created from a mixture a tech to it. This is a HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL Mark I[J] Armor Defense System (Johnson mech from Halo Wars 2). All needs is a test pilot" she explained as Naruto nodded. He needed to create a list of people who could do so and he already had a few in mind.
"And the other project?" he asked as she pulled a blanket off a table to show a marine's armor set but in gray coloring and a strange devices built in underneath the armor. On the sides a blue light was lit showing there was power flowing through them.
"The grunts aren't the only ones that have energy shields now. They shouldn't have left their equipment laying around for us to pick up" she stated smirking as Naruto gave her a evil smirk. "I love you so much" he stated hugging her close to his body.
"I sure do love the praise" she smiled kissing him lightly on the lips before moving to the side to show how her babies worked. "I want this mass produced immediately. Start outfitting the ODST and Special Forces first. We will work our way around unit by unit" he explained.
"I guess they are going to be pretty busy. Learning all of what this ship is now offering them" she finished as she noted down the instructions. With the final reviews being conducted on the projects, his reasoning for coming down here were done and they were off to the domes.
They already had a base line of tasks to do. Now all they to do was stick to it. Training the new incoming personal, the Spartan Project, production of vehicles, crafts, and ships. The building of the base and orbital life, the finishing of the Fleet, and the connections between Planet Triniel, Reach, and Elemental. Should be possible as long as there are no interruptions. Which would most likely happen. The Covenant waits for no one.
