Authors Note: So here is the new chapter, I have decided to add another character to Bella's journey. I got this done as fast as I could while still maintaining some quality. I should have the next chapter out in less than a week, or more than one if I am feeling particularly creative. Hope you all enjoy it, there will be an ending author note because I want you to answer a question.

Prologue: Deaths Embrace

Bella's P.O.V.

Bella had noticed that Edward seemed to be more aggressive. His refusal to listen to her had peaked this last week. This behaviour only seemed to be highlighted last week, when she was listening to the Skyrim soundtrack and studying. In her focus, she had not noticed that he had been texting her. Edwards' constant impulsive decisions led to him barging through her window at 11:30 pm. Understandably, this startled her. He proceeded to go off on her about always updating him on her whereabouts and how he could not trust her.

She was annoyed with Edward at this point, as she was not even allowed to go to the bathroom without Alice being near. Edward's controlling and holier than thou nature irked her more than she'd admit out loud. Her boyfriend had the listening capacity of a teaspoon and often undermined her decisions. Upon reevaluating her life up until this point, she had realised something. All the choices she had made were not her own. Starting with Edward, he often bullied his way into getting what he wanted and his family followed him no matter what. If she were to try and do something out of her capacity for thought, he would grab her arm roughly, and leave a bruise. It was like he was trying to turn her into a puppet, who will not operate without the master at the strings.

After thinking about it more, she finally recognised the signs. Admittedly she was embarrassed

at how long it took her to recognise it. This line of thinking was only supported by the actions of the boyish vampire throughout the next week.

Her dad noticed the number of text messages she had been getting from Edward and seemed worried. She attributed it to the fact he knew she was in an abusive relationship.

TIMESKIP (ONE WEEK)

Bella knew Edward would not like her answers to his demands this week. It started this morning when he sent her a text saying Alice was going to take her shopping.

Text Message Start:

Edward: Bella Alice will take you shopping this weekend and then you will stay at our house.

Bella: No.

Edward: Love, What do you mean?

Bella: I mean no Edward, I am not going shopping with Alice. I am going to stay with my dad, I don't spend much time with him.

Text Message End:

Needless to say, he was pissed. Roughly fifteen minutes after texting she heard the doorbell ring. Walking downstairs, she opened the door only to see Alice.

"Alice? What are you doing here? I told Edward that I would not be going shopping with you." she said, clearly annoyed.

Alice of course was not bothered by her snippy tone and answered in her "all-knowing" voice.

"Edward sent me here so you would see sense. I saw us going shopping together so I arrived anyway," she stated, tone suggesting that Bella will not argue.

Bella was full-on pissed now and just as her dad came down she told Alice loudly her opinion on the matter.

"Alice I've told Edward that I will not be going with you and if you continue to insist tell Edward to fuck off for me."

Slamming the door shut she turned around and saw her dad looking at her in awe. She blushed and smiled sheepishly. To say her dad was happy would be an understatement. He ended up taking her out to dinner and she was all too aware of Edward watching her from the side in disapproval. She had a great time with her dad and told him she was going upstairs to change and then she'll watch the game with him.

Once upstairs she shut and locked the window just in time for Edward to just get up to the tree. He tapped on the window and she looked at him before shutting the curtains. His outraged growl let her know he was annoyed. She left the room after changing and made sure Edward heard her door shut.

TWO DAYS LATER

Bella woke up feeling oddly refreshed; like she had a huge weight lifted off her chest. The ever invasive fog was toned down today. Getting up she walked to the closet and started pulling out clothes hearing a ding from her phone. Frowning, she walked over to it, only to roll her eyes. It was a text from Alice.

Alice: Don't wear that shirt, Edward won't like it. You should wear the blue long sleeve one instead, it covers more.

Just to piss both of them off Bella decided to wear what she was going to. After putting her clothes on she stopped, scrunching her eyebrows together. Now that she thought about it, did Alice do this all the time? Did she just let her choose all of her clothes without biting back? Thinking about it more and more, she realised the truth. Yes, she did let them walk all over her. Once this crossed her mind her resolve steeled.

Getting downstairs was surprisingly stumble-free. Adding this to her excitement at having gotten back at Edward she was having a good morning. Grabbing her truck keys she got out the door, only to see Edward there next to his Volvo. Scowling at him she made her way to the truck, startling him. He realised too late that she was not going to him and once he rushed to the truck she locked the doors.

"Bella, love, why aren't you riding with me? This scrap heap is not safe, come see sense I know what's good for you."

She ended up flipping him off (much to his confusion and horror). Driving to school never felt more exhilarating. The school day itself was uneventful until after the ending bell rang. Once she exited the building she ran into Edward (literally) and he forcefully dragged her to his car much to her protests. Her loud complaining was met with disparaging looks from the people around, which caused Edward to stop. Once he did, Bella ripped into him.

"EDWARD ANTHONY MASEN MOTHERFUCKING CULLEN! I SWEAR IF YOU TRY DRAGGING ME TO YOUR CAR AGAIN I WILL BREAK UP WITH YOU AND FILE A RESTRAINING ORDER!"

In all honesty, he looked shocked that she cussed let alone threatened to break up with him. Surprisingly Rosalie backed her up and threatened Edward quietly. This explained his sudden freeze and then sneered as if he felt himself above her.

Arriving home was a huge relief for her and she relaxed until she heard a knock. Peeking out the window she saw it was Edward again, feeling done with his attitude she ignored him. Only to find herself suddenly picked up and moved into his car. The speed at which he moved had her dazed until she felt the seatbelt move around her. Snapping her head to him she glared hatefully, promptly being ignored. Once they got to the house he was about to start lecturing her when she unclicked the belt and went inside. Once inside she saw the whole family there, with most of them being in the living room. Carlise stood up to greet her only to see her face, gaining a concerned look.

"Bella? Why are you so annoyed dear?" His words caused Esme to look up and frown, quickly moving to Bella as if to protect her.

"So do you teach all your children to essentially kidnap their significant other from their room?" she stated bluntly, causing Carlisle to freeze, and Esme to stiffen and growl. Edward entering the house earns him hisses from the caramel-haired woman.

Carlisle looks at Edward in pity, which causes both Rose and Esme to growl.

"I am sorry son, it seems you were right, your mate is not listening as she should." The blonde doctor stated, earning a smug grin from Edward.

Now Bella was pissed beyond recognition and so was Esme if her darkening irises have anything to say. Both growl simultaneously, startling the others with the combined ferocity.

Edward and Carlisle frown, not understanding why both were angry. Looking at each other, they nod, knowing their family will have their back.

"Father, it seems we will have to teach our mates a lesson on respect, after all, they belong to us."

Bella and Esme's rage reached its peak and the next thing they knew the world faded to white.
