Vara: Night 25

The moon rears its face on the final six, half of them awake. T'Challa gets to his feet, while Snake and Ripley stay off of theirs. He wonders away from the camp, and when he's out of view, Ripley rolls over to Snake, an opportunity in their hands.

They step up, as Snake heads for T'Challa's bag. Ripley heads for her allies with a stone face.

Ripley: We had a small window to snatch the parts, my feelings didn't need to get in the way.

She slowly moves the bag from Peach and opens the flap. She takes her half, and has that fire in her sights. As for Snake, he got T'Challa's quickly since the Wakandan hadn't had to worry about getting his snatched. Yet.

Snake closes his bag, Ripley closes Peach's, and the ritual begins. Ripley links the two halves together and tosses it into the fire! The idol slips off a chunk of firewood and leaves their visibility! The two scramble and cover up on the ground, back into their sleeping positions. It's a little wait, but T'Challa returns to the group, stretching a leg as he does.

Snake: He should have held it in. Guy doesn't know what's going to hit him.

The night goes on, as Peach slowly opens her eyes. She's too fatigued to get up, but the last thing she sees is T'Challa walking past the fire and headed back to sleep. She drifts back off, her situation about to get worse.

Vara: Day 26

We see a nice view of the Maldives on this afternoon. The waves crashing, the birds chirping, and the princess shouting.

Wait what?

"YOU—YOU, I don't even have words for you!" Peach exclaims to a T'Challa, staring at a frowning Wakandan. She huffs, and opens her bag for him to see. "Why do you keep doing this?!" she asks him, as he puts both hands behind his back, standing his ground. "Taking your idol wouldn't benefit me."

"Wh—yes it would!"

"I have the other half! The idol can't work without yours!"

She grits her teeth at that. "I thought we had something!" After she says that, Dylan comes back with a bowl of rice. They both turn to the teen, who stops in place. "What happened this time?" he asks, and a frustrated Peach just stomps away.

Peach: He was the only one up!

Dylan slowly turns to his friend. "Did you do anything?" he asks, and T'Challa lets out a deep sigh. "It's what I didn't do." A frown shows up on Dylan's face. "Well that sucks cause she's not trusting you again." Kill him with bluntness. "Welp, back to the drawing board. We gotta actually work with Snake again." he points out, and T'Challa just nods.

Dylan: We were walking on sunshine. Then a big gloomy cloud rolled and ruined everything!

The two head off to discuss the matter with Snake, while Peach heads off to the girls.

T'Challa: She won't believe me, so this team is finished. Done. There's not a lot that can top betrayal, but false accusations give it a run for its money.

Speaking of Snake, T and D meet with him on the sand of the Maldives.

"It either slipped into the fire, or someone sabotaged." points out T'Challa, which is met by a puzzled look from Snake. "Zelda said she keeps it in her bag. Thing is, Zelda wouldn't do that to her..and if none of us did it, that leaves Ripley." says the mercenary, pretending to piece it together. "Yes but Peach will not leave me alone until I'm done. If we draw rocks, she needs to be an option." points out the Panther, and then Dylan cuts in. "It would also help to leave Zelda as an option. If Peach is burned, she'll feel burned too."

"We can split them up if we vote for Ripley. When it's tied she's off the board and then it's up to chance." suggests Snake. Neither man objects to that plan.

T'Challa: The bridge isn't just burned, it's been decimated. My day is bad, you know I actually can't even find MY half. Someone smart pulled this off, and even though I have ideas of who…they can't be proven. It was a good play, but I wish it wasn't against me.

Meanwhile, Peach vents to Zelda about her idol missing again. The Hyrulian takes this all in.

"It's time we separate them. I prefer T'Challa lose but if Dylan needs to be the casualty of the draw if he's safe." she replies. "Either way, one of them needs to go." she can just feel Peach's frustration and goes in for more reassurance. "If Snake happens to draw bad, then we have a fair chance at splitting them up again. We will get out of this, and you will get your revenge."

Zelda: It's unfortunate Dylan and I couldn't lead the charge. However after what happened, the alliance couldn't last five minutes even if we tried.

Peach leans on a tree next to them. "If we get the bad end, we're sitting ducks. Then they'll just walk over us to the end." she pouts, which gets a frown from her ally. "I'm trying to stay positive but going out like THIS? There is nothing good about it."

Peach: The only thing that can make my time here worse is if Bowser showed up.

While she vents, Ripley spots the two and shows up to talk. "Is she nervous?" Zelda nods. "More than nervous, she's just spiraling." The two turn to the Princess, with the Alien protagonist giving words of her own. "You have a 25 percent shot at safety. There's also a way out even if one of us kicks the bucket. We need to keep our heads in the game." Peach just frees an exhale.

"What if it's me?"

"All you can do is pray it isn't."

Ripley: I've been playing it carefully since our girl Ms Pac bit it, but bluntness is the best card I can pull. It always gets through to her, and besides…is she really going to side with him after that?

Inside the cave of that part of the island, Ripley and Snake sit inside, alone at last after their stunt last night.

"She wasn't happy, but we're still here and kickin.'" she admits, popping her wrist afterwards. "Their fault for trying to blindside us. Better they deal with the drama than we do." affirms Snake, not popping anything. "..Still going to need one #£|| of a Christmas card to make up for this."

Snake: I don't take pride in being a robot. I do take pride in that another bullet was dodged.

With the last vote done, the next one comes up, with both strategizing about the rock draw rules. "If they put three on us, then we'll be safe because of the tie. That'll just leave them open to rip eachother apart." explains Snake, which makes Ripley crack a smile. "Who even started the whole thing, Dylan?" she questions, and Snake nods. "It had to have been. I don't see Peach jumping on that so Zelda might have said yes." he theorizes, and his temporary ally raises her brows. "Oh so she came to win huh?"

Ripley: Peach won't want to take one of us out in the draw. She'll never get over it. But if Zelda leaves? She'll remember it forever. Now me? It wouldn't hurt too bad, but then the men outnumber us..then I'd have to actually trust that Snake pulls through, which can go either way.

With Zelda and Dylan on notice in their heads, Snake comes up with the final solution. "We need T'Challa to win so we can make this happen. They'll want Dylan to bite it so we need to leave him open." Ripley shakes her head. "I'll throw you as a vote, you just need to keep your end of the deal." she pushes, and it didn't take much of one to make him decide.

He offers a handshake to her. "We'll meet again tomorrow." She takes his hand and they shake on it, knowing well the result may be catastrophic.

Snake: That's how to destroy a core four.

Immunity Challenge

Jeff stands in the area, with a steep wall posted. Following that is a narrow beam with a net underneath. After that beam there is a platform, with a large bag of sandbags AND three targets out, each one further than the last.

He throws his hands up, the castaways having to navigate that.

"Come on in!"

The six castaways enter, to see Jeff with the necklace stand next to him. T'Challa unhooks the necklace, and hands it to Jeff. "Thank you." replies the host, who sets the necklace on its rightful stand. Once that's done, he turns to the six.

"Immunity is back up for grabs." he opens. "For todays challenge, you will start by leaping up a steep wall. When you are done, you will have to navigate to another platform using a narrow beam. Once you are done with that, you will find a box of sandbags, with three targets in front of you. First person to knock all the targets down wins immunity." explains the host. "I'll give you time to prepare, and we'll get started."

Once the prep wraps up, the six are in front of that steep wall.

"Immunity on the line! Survivors ready? GO!"

The six take off! T'Challa gets there first and leaps high, grabbing ahold of the edge! He pushes himself up and heads for the beam already!

There are a few failures too, as Dylan and Ripley fail to make the wall jump! Peach gives it a try and grabs on with one hand! She goes to grab with her other one but her hand slips and she slides down! Zelda leaps and gets a hand on the edge! She gets her other hand on, and looks to her side…

…to see T'Challa halfway through the balance beam! He slowly steps forward, and the frustration builds in her face as she pushes herself up! She advances. Meanwhile, Snake jumps up and gets a hand on the top of his wall! He gets up there, with T'Challa ahead by a lot, and Zelda by a bit. He takes to the beam, with T'Challa already nearing the end!

T'Challa: I'm more of a pacifist at home. Here? You outlive your enemies.

In the back, Peach gets to the top and gets herself up this time! Dylan rushes forward, and fails yet again. Ripley leaps up and gets a hand to the top! While she tries to pull herself up, we check on the four ahead.

T'Challa starts grabbing sandbags! He takes the time to look around him, only to see Zelda halfway across the beam, and Snake behind her. He turns back in his lane and hits the closest target! It falls to the ground as he guns for his second, another down and one last to go! Zelda gets closer as T'Challa grabs his sandbag, and he hurls it, but BARELY hits it! The target is shaky but stays up, as he snatches two more bags and aims with his right arm. One more throw, with Zelda getting close…

..and he nails it!

"T'CHALLA WINS IMMUNITY FOR THE THIRD TIME!"

He drops the bag and takes a deep breath, turning to his side to see Zelda finally reach her platform. She puts her hands on her hips. "Really?" He just brushes her off and steps off his platform, headed for Jeff. He sets the necklace around T'Challa's neck when he arrives.

"That was a dominating performance. Shortest challenge we've had all season."

"You may see it happen again."

"That would be impressive."

The other five head over, all of them on the line. "Congratulations T'Challa, you cannot be voted out tonight. As for the rest of you, one will be headed to the jury. Head back to camp, see you tonight." With that, the six depart from him, headed back with one safe and some in front of the firing squad.

In confession, he grasps his necklace and pushes it forward.

T'Challa: This is my life for the next week. Kill or be killed. Lucky for me, I have nine lives.

Vara: Day 26

The six castaways re-enter camp. Peach enters quicker than everyone else and has a seat, her sworn enemy now with a necklace around him.

Peach: Of course he wins! It's so frustrating gunning for someone only for them to sidestep and send me crashing! But I'm hopeful. If T'Challa can't leave…Dylan can just draw the bad rock instead.

Zelda congratulates T'Challa. "That was well earned victory." she says, which makes him smile "Thank you for the support." he says, as he removes his necklace and goes to hang it up on the wall of the shelter.

T'Challa: If any of the woman gets sent home, it's a win. Zelda will be a problem later, and we already know what we are getting into with Peach.

For a few minutes, everyone sticks together at the shelter. However they would all soon split off, a plan set in stone.

We see Zelda and Dylan in the water, soaked but that's not a problem for them. "It looks like it will be one of us leaving." states Zelda, which was very obvious to Dylan. "Yeah, I love that man but I wish he didn't win. This is just nerve racking." admits the teen, which makes Zelda go for the comforting route. "Well, if you do leave at least it's up to luck, right?" Dylan slowly shakes his head. "That'll just be icky. How would you react if YOU drew that rock?"

Zelda set a finger on her chin, thinking. "Well I would just take comfort in that I did what I could." she answers. "I hope you do too. Luck is a factor in life. We do what we can with the cards we have." she continues, which makes Dylan snicker. "Are you a motivational speaker?" he asks with snark. "No, you just seem like you needed closure."

There's dead silence for a few seconds after. "Yep, be proud…so anyways.." he begins, looking to change the topic. "What are you going to do if you survive?" he asks her, and she doesn't hesitate. "Go to the end with one of my allies. I have a claim." she admits. "Maybe if you go to the end with Peach.." jokes Dylan, "but that's just me."

"You would have been at four with us. The other two know how dangerous they are."

Dylan: Love Zelda, great friend to have out here…but she's not beating Ripley, she's just not. She could beat Peach, I mean it's a boring strategy to steamroll with challenges, but a win is a win and it's her best way.

Zelda shifts the topic to him. "I've shared mine, what are your plans?" she asks him. "Weeelll I was going to get some second place money with T'Challa, but then…I realized how good two million sounds. I need money for college, those loans aren't paying themselves." he admits. "Just wanted to make a move and help us put cause it's getting really late. If those Canadian girls could do it I thought I could too..but then the incident happened." he reflects.

She gets back to him on that. "If we do survive the draw, I could help give you another shot." she offers, which makes his face light up. "That's a good deal. Maybe we can both get something we want." he states, moving his head to look at the shore to see nobody there. "Unlike OTHER side deals let's hope this one sticks."

Zelda: Surviving this draw is important. Peach and Dylan are the two I could beat, but we're all on the line! The other side will want us split, and it's sad that one will have to leave. A three of us is desirable because of Ripley's case..but I'll do with the cards I'm dealt.

We cut to a brief scene at the cave, where the three men come to a consensus vote. "We can throw three on Ripley. I'm more worried about the other two." admits Snake, with no objections from either man. "Yeah, tried to talk to Zelda about flipping and she wasn't going to budge." admits Dylan, who looks at Snake. "If they do put three on us, then good luck, because one of us might get smacked outta here."

Snake stands like a stonewall. "They want revenge, they'll be putting you on the line. Just pray you don't get the short end." he puts it bluntly, and Dylan swings over to T'Challa. "If it's me, good luck, you'll need to win everything." he says, before swinging over to Snake. "And you, just hope someone over there will want to save you." With his spiel done, he takes a deep breath. "Alright, it's go time."

Dylan: This was the worst case scenario. I've got a 1 in 3 shot of getting the boot, all because my guy is a Goliath.

The sun is low, but the talk is high between the women, as they stand next to the Torch Tree. "Snake's going to want me, so we need to put three on him and leave Dylan open. Nobody on their side will want to flip for us." states Ripley, before Zelda butts in. "Is there a way we could leave Snake open instead? I understand Dylan is T'Challa's closest ally but we're acting on spite." Ripley. just shuts that down immediately.

"If they are trying to split us up, we need to split them up. Don't like Snake but he is flexible, T'Challa and Dylan will just stick together." she explains. A sigh escapes Zelda. "Keeping Snake and T'Challa here though?" she questions, before Peach jumps in. "Just take out whoever loses. Hope it's T'Challa."

Zelda: She is just slowly losing any reason she has out here. It'll help me beat her if we reach the end, but what happens at this draw could impact the game. Dylan isn't a bigger threat than the others! Problem is, those two don't want to budge…and I'm still not flipping yet.

Zelda does bite her tongue though as Peach and Ripley seem to be getting their way. "We know you're concerned but it's safer to cut Dylan. We shouldn't P|$$ off one of our teammates." defends Ripley, gesturing towards Peach. Zelda swallows her pride on this one. "You're right. We need to be united now more than ever after all."

Ripley smirks at that one. "Better to stick together than get picked off." she says. While the two disagree, they can all agree on one thing: a rock's getting drawn. In Peach's case, one thing is certain: someone's getting caught in the crossfire.

Peach: Sorry Dylan. You shouldn't befriend the man who disrespects me. I hope you look back and see this wasn't malicious towards you, but T'Challa.

Tribal Council: Night 26

The six Vara members arrive to the Tribal Council area with their torches. The fire pit is there, and so is Jeff sitting in front of his podium across from the stumps.

"Dip your torches into the fire. Fire represents your life, and when it's gone, so are you."

They dip them in, as Skarlet, Wade, Price, Slade, and a new member kicking back in Dante, sits across from them on the jury bench.

With that out of the away, Jeff kicks off Tribal. "Another night, another Tribal. The last time we were here, huge drama, and I think we deserve a follow up. T'Challa, tell me what happened." orders the host, and he obliged. "After the hostage situation, she wasn't happy but there was still a way to build trust. That was until last night." he admits, and Peach just jumps in. "You still haven't owned up to it yet."

"I didn't take it."

"You are the only man here who takes idols!"

"I can't even find mine!"

The jury is hooked, with Dante whispering to Slade. "Where did you put it?" he ribs, but Slade just scoffs.

Back with the main players, Peach crosses her arms and looks away. "You could just be lying to me! How many times have you done it? Two?" she asks, and Zelda puts a hand on her shoulder. "She's upset, Jeff, and I can't blame her. It's why it's a split down the middle tonight." she interjects, which gets Jeff's attention, and the host starts questioning. "So we're looking at a tie tonight?" he asks, and she shakes her head. "If it all goes to plan, yes."

The host sets his sights on Dylan next. "We got it from one end, but are we looking at a tie from yours?" he asks, and Dylan wipes a strand of hair away. "We have devious bastards on our side, so maybe not. Wouldn't be the first time someone backed out of drawing rocks." he jokes, which gets some slight chuckles.

Slade sets a hand on his knee. "Hilarious." he says with a monotone voice.

Now Jeff, getting all the information he needed, switches over to the last two. "I haven't gotten to either of you. Ripley, how safe you feel tonight?" he asks. "Five out of ten."

"Why five?"

"Getting too cocky can bite me. It's already bitten people."

Jeff switches to Snake now. "Snake?"

"Six. I trust my people but maybe Dylan's rock allergy will kick in." he jokes, which gets a snicker from Dylan. "If I had my epipen we'd be fine." he shoots back, lightening up Tribal. With nothing else to cover, Jeff moves on.

"Alright, it is time to vote. Ripley, you're up first."

She leaves her stump and heads to the voting booth.

Ripley: You are a lucky man. (Snake)

Snake: If the plan fails, it's a Code Red. (Ripley)

Zelda: This is how it has to be. (?)

After all of that voting is done and over with, the tribe members get to their stumps, taking a seat during their wait.

"I'll go tally the votes.." With those words, he leaves his podium and goes straight to the booth. He takes the voting urn, and heads back to his podium. Setting it down, vote reads are about to begin.

"If anyone has a hidden immunity idol, and they would like to play it, now would be the time to do so." Snake looks around, but nobody budges. The host notes the lack of movement and gets on with it. "I'll read the votes."

He removes the lid, as Snake and Ripley watch with intent. T'Challa is the ONLY one who looks stoic. Jeff reaches the first piece of parchment inside, and soon the relaxation would come to a halt.

"First vote…"

— Snake.

— Ripley.

— Snake.

— Ripley. That's two votes Ripley, two votes Snake, two votes left.

— Snake.

— Ripley. We are tied, three votes Snake, three votes Ripley.

Nobody is shocked at that result, Snake puts a hand over his mouth.

"We'll revote, Snake and Ripley you cannot vote. Dylan, you're up first."

Dylan rises from his stump and heads to the voting booth…

Dylan: I'm going to vomit… (Ripley)

Peach: So help me Godstool if he doesn't leave. (Snake)

Zelda: Hoping it's not me. (Snake)

T'Challa enters the booth last, and quickly writes a name down.

T'Challa: You are a smart woman, smarter because you'll survive this. (Ripley)

Once the revotes done, the four head back to their stump, and take a seat. Jeff, for the second time, gets ready to head out. "I'll tally the votes…" he says, headed off to take care of that.

On the jury, Dante ribs Price. "Who burned it?" he whispers, and Price leans in. "Calling it: Snake." Meanwhile Slade comments to Skarlet.."Hmm. He actually grew a pair this time. Better late than never." he says, and she speaks back. "I'll applaud whoever framed him." As for Wade, he just swings his legs back and forth. "Why couldn't my Tribal be this fun?" he asks.

Jeff returns to his podium with the voting urn. "One last time, if anyone has a hidden immunity idol or advantage they want to play, now would be the time to do so…" Just like the last time, nobody moves. "I'll read the votes.." he says, reaching for the parchment inside. He flips it over to reveal the first name.

— Snake.

— Ripley.

— Snake.

— Ripley.

"We are deadlocked."

Wade's eyes widen, as he shakes Price's shoulder. "They're doing it…" Dante comments on that. "You're a schoolboy."

"There's not a lot to do at Ponderosa, have to find my entertainment somewhere."

"..True."

The other jurors just watch, as Jeff pulls out three rocks. Two are black, and only one is purple. He approaches Zelda, Dylan, and Peach. "ALL of you close your eyes, and I will hand the three who didn't get votes a rock. You will close your palm when you feel the rock in place. Black means you stay, PURPLE means you are out." explains Jeff, placing a rock in the hands of each. "When I say "open," you open, and "reveal" means you open your palms and reveal the rock." he continues.

Zelda, Dylan, Peach have their rocks in hand, shut and in just a few seconds, one of them would leave this game.

"Open."

They open their eyes and…

"Reveal."

Their palms open too. The rocks are revealed and…

The person with the Purple rock is: Dylan.

"F¥€K." he says, closing his right hand and grabbing his torch with his left. "Dylan, you are the sixth member of the jury. Bring me your torch." says the host, as Dylan is already on his way over. He sets it down in front of him.

"What a way to go…"

As for everyone else, there are mixed feelings. T'Challa looks devastated, but takes a deep breath. Snake just takes a look at Ripley, while Zelda and Peach are relieved, with Peach wiping sweat off her forehead.

On the jury bench, Price shakes his head in disappointment. Slade on the other hand has the opposite reaction, nodding in approval. Dante just takes one look at Slade. "You are a menace."

As for Dylan, the look of shame doesn't leave his face, as Jeff raises his snuffer.

"Dylan, your luck has spoken."

He snuffs his torch.

"Time for you to go."

Before he leaves, he waves goodbye with the shame still there. He leaves the Tribal Council area as we see the fallout from the five players left. "I feel so bad.." mutters Zelda, who gets a pat on the shin from Ripley. "It's ok, we lived." Snake and T'Challa look at eachother, both knowing what comes next.

Jeff takes his attention away from Dylan's exit, to those still in the game. "Luck is a risk, and your reward is safety. Maybe you'll get lucky and find your idols." says Jeff, which gets a few "oohs" from the jury. This time though, he's not done. "Usually this is the part where I let you go, but that's not the case. Here's the schedule for the REST OF THE GAME…" he starts off, surprising the five.

"Tomorrow, there will be a challenge AND a Tribal Council (Ep: 14A). THEN, Day 28, four weeks out here, someone else will be going home. Days 29 and 30 we will be back to the normal routine, where we'll get the final member of our jury. Finally, the jury will vote a winner after 32 days, and then we'll reveal the winner at the reunion." explains the host, which is understood by the cast. "Head back to camp, I'll see you tomorrow."

The remaining five castaways grab their torches and leave the area, headed back sooner than they thought hours earlier.

Dylan's Final Words

Dylan: These rocks are the death of me. I should've just flipped, it would have gave me a nice boost. Oh well…I'm still cool and the food I'm about to maul will be too.

Ok so the original advertisement was 34 days, but I messed up in day counting, PLUS the double boot was supposed to happen earlier. So now it's 32 days! I won't be doing 26 day Survivor.

Anyways, Dylan got the bad end of the stick. Would flipping have helped him? Who even knows.

Don't have much to say besides that, BUT it looks like Snake and T'Challa will have to square off! Maybe there is a way out, maybe there isn't. You'll find out in Episodes 14 A and B! I'm Ticket, signing out, take care!
