Bryce Falls In Love
"Bryce? Brother, are you okay?" Beverly asked.
Bryce was looking at Carole.
"Wow! What a girl," Bryce sighed. "what a shot!"
"I know that look, Bryce! You're smitten with that girl!" Beverly exclaimed.
Bryce was startled from his thoughts.
"Girl? What girl, Bev?" Bryce asked.
"The girl who is representing Camp Rosewood in the archery turnament! You have a crush on her!" Beverly exclaimed.
"I do not!" Bryce disagreed.
"Oh, I beg to differ!" Beverly countered.
Bryce was about to shoot back when Jessa interviened.
"That will be quite enough of that," Jessa scolded sharply. "it is now time for dinner!"
Bryce looked at Carole, "I'll look forward to another of your wonderful meals." he said.
"I will do my best." Carole said to Bryce.
Carole left for the mess hall to start cooking supper for the camp.
While Carole was in the canteen cooking supper, Lisa was in the bedroom she shared with Hikari, Miranda, and Carole in Doe Cabin.
Lisa was looking at the job chart in the room to find out what camp job she would be doing for the summer.
"Yes! I get to feed the animals and groom the horses!" Lisa exclaimed.
Lisa raced out of Doe Cabin in high spirits.
In the mess hall, Carole was helping the kitchen staff make dinner.
When she suddenly saw what looked like a boy with dark brown hair wearing shades.
"Whoa!" Carole exclaimed.
A mess hall worker named Carlo Da Vinci could tell that Carole looked spaced out.
"Carole!" Carlo called.
Carole was startled from her thoughts.
"What!" Carole exclaimed.
"Are you okay?" Carlo asked Carole.
"I... think the light is playing tricks on my eyes." Carole answered Carlo truthfully.
Carlo felt Carole's forehead.
"That settles things, Carole," Carlo said firmly. "I'm going to have to take you to the infirmary."
