Anterian Ship

Cyborg lands the converted T-Sub in one of the Anterian Ship's hangers. As they get out, a group of Anterian guards aim their weapons at the Titans, and Blackfire. Blackfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Robin, Raven, and Speedy all take a step back.

Beast Boy holds up his hands. "Hey, I guess we we're not welcome? Hehehe."

Princ...um...King Shalton, steps in front of the group of guards. "Oh you are all welcome on my ship. That was our agreement."

Robin narrows his eyes. "Then what's with the guards?"

Shalton smirks. "I said you were welcome to come. I didn't say you would be treated hospitably." Shalton ushers his guards. "Guards, seize them..." The guards grab the group. "Except this one." Shalton points to Blackfire.

"Hey what are yo..." Cyborg falls silent as one of the guards open Cyborg's back and deactivates him.

Speedy struggles a little as the guards take his bow and arrows. "What are you going to do with Blackfire?"

Shalton smiles. 'Bunch of buffoons.' "Why, she is the future Queen of Anteria. She will be treated with the utmost respect." Shalton turns to Blackfire. "Unless you are with them..."

Blackfire smirks. "Me? With them? HA! Don't make me laugh. Lets call them...a gift to you."

"Why you little...AHHHHHHHHHHH." An electrical shock by one of the guards forces Raven to the floor. He puts a gag and restraints on her to prevent her power from manifesting.

"Hey, hey, don't touch the hair." Beast Boy is put into a type of elastic restraints that prevents his powers from ever being used.

"You won't get away with this Shalton and BLACKFIRE!" Robin is electrocuted and unconscious. His utility belt is removed along with any other weapons he might have.

Blackfire turns to Shalton. "So, what are your plans for them? Are you going to hurt them any way?" A devious smile appears on Blackfire's face (though it is contrary to what she is thinking). 'I don't care what you do to the others, but if you hurt Robin, I WILL RIP YOU FUCKING THROAT OUT!'

Shalton looks back at his future 'wife'. "Oh the prisoners...in a few weeks their execution will set an example to ANYONE that dare oppose the Anterians!"

"Sounds good to me." Blackfire smiles. 'In a few weeks huh? Plenty of time to rescue...' Blackfire mentally frowns. 'Starfire and get off this shithole. Maybe take a few Anterians with me.'

Brig – Cellblock 12

The Anterian guards wheel Cyborg into the cell.

Anterian Guard 'Joe' lowers Cyborg into place. "Glad I don't have to carry this thing around. He must weigh a ton."

Anterian Guard 'Bob' wipes his forehead. "Well, at least he should be the one who will give us the least trouble. He's useless like this." Bob bangs Cyborg. "Yup. Useless. Hahahahahaha."

Bob and Joe exit the cellblock and lock it behind them. The cellblock goes dark. The sound of tapping boots slowly fades outside.

After a few seconds, Cyborg's left eye starts to blink slightly.

Cyborg's vision returns as an extra power pack is activated. Cyborg sees this on his screen, 'Backup power source activated. Most systems are back online. Sonic Cannon still not functional.' Cyborg moves his eye and notes that the cellblock has no cameras or listening device that he is aware of. He slowly turns his head and around and still finds nothing.

'I guess they didn't think I would be that much of a danger being deactivated.' Cyborg looks at his arm. His Sonic Cannon is in pieces. "Damn. But they were still cautious enough to take out this." Cyborg checks his other systems. "At least everything else is working." He looks around, then at the little hole on his cell door. He ducks as a scanner sweeps through the area. 'Across from me is cellblock 32. That means I'm in cellblock 12.' Cyborg checks out the back wall. 'Behind this wall should be a passageway. Shouldn't be too hard to break through. However, I still don't know where the others are staying. I don't want to cause any more damage then necessary in order to prevent attracting to much attention.' Cyborg returns to the area the guards put him in with his back towards the door. 'I have to wait for Blackfire. She BETTER hold up her end of the bargain.'

"Hey, I'd like to see my lawyer!" A voice comes from the cellblock next to him.

'Beast Boy?' Cyborg blinks.

Brig – Cellblock 13

Beast Boy tries changing into a number of animals. None of them could break through the elastic restraints that were put on him. When he tries to change into a larger animal, like an elephant or a Tyrannosaurus Rex, a massive electrical shock courses through his body. This prevents him from...basically filling and possibly damaging the cell walls.

"BB?" Cyborg whispers to Beast Boy. (Well, maybe a 'loud whisper' in order for Beast Boy to hear him).

Beast Boy's eyes light up. "Cy..."

"SHHHHHHHHHHH." Beast Boy shuts his mouth. A few seconds of silence before Cyborg speaks again. "Don't say anything too loud. I'm supposed to be deactivated remember?"

Beast Boy nods before realizing...Cyborg can't see him. "Yeah." Beast Boy whispers.

"So tell me, are there any listening devices in your cellblock BB?"

Beast Boy looks around. "Nope. None that I could see at least."

"Same here." A voice coming from the adjourning cell block.

"Speedy?" Beast Boy looks in the direction where the voice came from.

"Yup." After a short pause, "seems the Anterians are so confident that no one escapes the brig that they didn't even bother adding such little features like a camera or listening device in them.' After another short pause, "other then that annoying scanner thing that sweeps the area every few minutes or so."

Brig – Cellblock 12

"So, Speedy is in cell block 14, Beast Boy is in cell block 13, wonder which one Robin and Raven are in?" Cyborg talks to himself. "Since Robin didn't speak up on Speedy's side, he isn't in cell block 15. And its too bad Raven can't tell us where she is herself."

Brig – Cellblock 11

"Mmmmmmmmmmph." This is all that is heard from Raven.

Captain's Quarters

Blackfire looks at the lavish room. "Wow. You're definitely loaded that's for sure."

Shalton blushes. "If you mean by 'loaded' that I am one of the wealthiest man in the universe, well, comes with the benefit of being King."

Blackfire smirks. "King? So daddy finally kicked the bucket?"

"Kicked the bucket?" Shalton blinks before realizing what Blackfire is trying to say. "Oh, well, not yet. But my father should be dead fairly soon now. And my status as King will finally be realized." Shalton gives a dark smile.

'This guy really is full of himself.' "Say, what are the plans for the rest of the week?" Blackfire approaches Shalton wearing a seductive smile on her.

Shalton smirks. "Well, in our culture, we usually wait till after the marriage ceremony our relationship. But since I am king..." Shalton leans in for a kiss.

Blackfire leans back and places a hand over Shalton's face. "Hold it right there Princy boy."

"King." Shalton frowns.

"King whatever." Blackfire frowns. "While I'm certain to have a little fun once all is said and done...this is a little fast you know. At least get me settled in and having me get used to being called Princess..." Blackfire eyes Shalton. "Or Queen. Remember, the people of my world stripped me of my title." Blackfire walks over to a window to look at Earth.

"Fair enough." King Shalton puts his arms around Blackfire. Blackfire grits her teeth in order to prevent showing her disgust. "There will be plenty of time for that." Shalton leans in closer.

Blackfire slips out. "So, what about my sister? I'm certain you have, great plans for her."

"Ah yes. After we prepare the ceremony for us," Shalton smiles at Blackfire, "her torture will be so great, Tamaran will be on their knees begging us to end her suffering." Shalton smirks thinking about all the devices he would use on Starfire. "You could join in if you like."

"Sounds tempting." Blackfire rubs her chin, pretending to be interested. "However, I do like to see her before the 'big finally' so to speak. Maybe do a number on her my own." Blackfire winks at Shalton. "So, do you mind...leading the way?"

'This seems to perfect. I hope my instincts are wrong about her.' "Sure. Follow me to Holding Bay 3."

"Lovely." Blackfire follows Shalton out of the room.

Brig – Cell Block 10

Robin paces back and forth. 'I hope Blackfire is safe from HIM!' Robin pauses. 'Wait, why am I worried about Blackfire? I'm sure she could handle herself. Starfire is one who is in more danger at the moment.' "Agggggggggh. This is frustrating."

BangBangBang

"HEY, keep it down in there." Bob yells through the doorway. "There will be plenty of time to scream...later. Bhahahahahaha." Bob opens a little compartment and pushes...what is supposed to be food, though it looks and smells more like puke.

"Hehe. Right." 'Not if I have anything to do with it.' Robin narrows his eyes at the passing guard.

Brig – Cellblock 12

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt. Cyborg uses a mini-laser to cut an opening in the back wall. Since it seems the only security check in the brig is the scanner, Cyborg assumes that it is safe for him to work out an exit of the cellblock that he is in. Despite the supposedly strength of the metal used that make up the cellblock's walls...they seem to be easily cut by Cyborg's laser. The back panel falls forward slightly as Cyborg slowly brings it forward. He puts a device (like the one Robin used when he was Red X), that makes a hologram of himself in the deactivated state, in the middle of the cell. Cyborg gets into the pathway and replaces the back panel. As he is doing this, he hears 'Bob' yelling in the background. "Here goes nothing."

Bob slides the 'food' through the compartment in the doorway.

Joe stops Bob. "You know, like that girl over there, this guy can't exactly eat his food in his state you know."

Bob looks at the cell door. "You know, you're right. However, we can't help that Raven girl any. She is after all, dangerous if we try helping her. But him..." Bob looks at the hologram of Cyborg. "Maybe we should go help him out?" Bob fiddles with the cell door keys.

Cyborg panics. "Oh no. If they discover me now, we're all screwed!" 'Please don't enter, please don't enter, please don't enter...'

Bob has the keys on the door lock when Joe stops him. "No. Being half-biological probably means he doesn't need to eat as much. That and like that dark girl over there, probably be a problem to handle too. Besides, they are going to be dead soon anyways." Joe looks at the food. "Which is a shame really, all this good...well, all this edible food going to waste."

Bob and Joe continue handing out food to the other prisoners.

Cyborg sighs in relief. "Dodged a close one." Cyborg looks down the corridor. "Now, to open up a path to the other cells once those two bozos pass through."

Holding Cell 3

Starfire has her hands tied up on some sort of device. Other then some minor lesions on her arms from the restraints, she is unharmed. Many unusual and dangerous looking devices are next to her ready to use.

"Hello sister." Blackfire looks over her sister.

Starfire looks up at Blackfire. "Sister? Did you come and save me from this horrible place?"

Blackfire smirks. "Not exactly." Blackfire turns to Shalton. "Mind if I try one of these?" Blackfire picks up a kind of electrical torture rod.

Shalton smirks. 'I'm going to enjoy this.' "Go ahead."

Blackfire leans in really close to Starfire and whispers into her ear. "Scream really loud when I use this device."

Starfire blinks. Starfire whispers back. "What?"

"Scream real loud. The setting on this device will be really low." Blackfire activates the device, electrical sparks jump out from it. In a louder voice, Blackfire continues. "Don't worry sister. All you will feel is a little sting."

Starfire looks at Blackfire. "Why?"

'Poor girl. Being tortured by her own sister.' Shalton crosses his arms.

Blackfire leans in again. "To save you. I have to fool Shalton into thinking I'm on his side." Blackfire looks away. "Besides, I'm doing this for Robin."

'Robin?' Starfire's eyes sparkle a bit. 'Robin is coming to save me! But why would my sister care what Robin thinks?' "Blackfire...AGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH."

Blackfire brings the device to Starfire.

A sadistic smile crosses Shalton's face.

-Later...

Blackfire taps a metal pipe on her hands that she picked up in the game room. "So, you like following me...Jureo was it?" Blackfire looks at Jureo, who was assigned 'bodyguard' duty for Blackfire. In reality, he was there to make sure Blackfire didn't cause any trouble on board.

"My duty to my Pri...King is paramount." Jureo marches next to Blackfire.

"Guess you have problems with this whole 'King' thing too." Blackfire smirks. "So tell me Jureo, what do you REALLY think about Shalton?"

"Oh, that he is the greatest leader of all Anteria! I hold a lot of respect for him!" Jureo proudly smiles.

"Really! Even though he puts you in a job any simpleminded guard could do?" Blackfire eyes Jureo.

"Um...well...yes. YES I do." Jureo smile fades.

Blackfire smiles. "By the way, do you know what they did to the prisoner's weapons?"

Jureo is relived that the subject changed. "Um...he destroyed them."

Blackfire frowns. "Really? You sure he didn't want to keep them, just for novelty sakes?"

Jureo shakes his head.

Blackfire scrowls. "Great." Blackfire looks at the area they are in. "Say, isn't that the brig?"

Jureo begins to sweat. "Um...yes. But you are NOT supposed to go there. Shalton forbids it!"

Blackfire throws the pipe back, hitting Jureo on the head. Knocking him unconscious. "Oh really! Well, how about just a quick peek Jureo?" Blackfire looks at Jureo. "Jureo?" Seeing the now unconscious Jureo, a devious smile appears on Blackfire. "Well, guess I take that as a yes." Blackfire enters the brig.

Blackfire looks at the two guards. Both are sleeping. 'This is the proud Anterian military? You got to be kidding me!' Blackfire makes her way to cellblock 10. She looks in, seeing a sleeping Robin. She knocks on the door. "Robin?"

Robin wakes up. "Blackfire?"

"Starfire is in Holding Bay 3." Blackfire looks around. She sees the scanner sweeping one side of the brig.

Robin places his face next to the hole in the door. "You mean she's here in the brig? I should tell Cyborg..."

Blackfire shakes her head. "No. This Holding Bay...it's a special room for 'high priority prisoners.' If you are going to do something, better hurry. Shalton has been a little...friendly to me so to speak. I do not know how long I can keep this up." Blackfire looks at Robin as he reflexively close and opens his fist. "That, and in two days Shalton's plans against Starfire will be executed. And you don't want the details." Blackfire looks at the scanner. It is coming towards her. "Oh, and Shalton destroyed your weapons. Seems to be smarter then I think."

Robin nods. "Don't worry. Cyborg has that covered." Robin pauses for a few seconds. "We'll have to set our plan tonight."

Blackfire nods. "I better get going. I don't want Shalton to get suspicious if he finds out I was talking to you." Blackfire quickly leaves.

"Blackfire!" Robin whispers. He sees the scanner cross his cellblock and ducks. "Don't worry Starfire. We're all going home tomorrow."

Whoohoo. Three more chapters to go for this story! I really don't have a lot to say (for once) in the author notes. Well, I did fix a very annoying error in Chapter 8 (where I just stopped my line of thought). So you can go back and reread Chapter 8. Be warned though, I did NOT proofread Chapter 8 thoroughly. I simply fixed that empty line of thought that I forgot to add. It's also possible that something were actually removed from the final draft (remember, anything I add in the quick/preview, is not in the original). Still, the chapter is better after I fixed that mistake.

[edit]Well, I've now gone back and proofread Chapter 8. So for those how are pissed off at my grammar mistakes, well, don't have to worry, much, with Chapter 8. And now, Chapter 9.

One last thing, I originally planned to have this chapter finished earlier. But, the idea for Silent Titan was just too good to pass up I had to start that one first. Still, better late then never. Oh, and I also planned to have a little more in this chapter. But since I wanted to get this done faster, I left those little scenes out for now. Expect them in the next chapter.
