It had been a few days since her dinner with Lucas and the two were in contact again. Just like they had been before calls. Text messages. Hanging out together or with the friend group.
Getting back onto friendly terms was never really an issue for them.
"Clay we need to talk about the fact that we're ignoring the topic of Lucas."
"I need you to be open and honest with me."
"We're engaged. I love you." Brooke proclaimed.
Clay sighed deeply. Looking to her.
"I know you love me. And i love you."
"But i need to know how you feel about Lucas.?" Clay questioned.
"Lucas and I are friends nothing more."
"What him and shared romantically ended years ago." Brooke replied.
"If that's true. Then i do want to get to know Lucas."
"He's important to you. So he shouldn't be a stranger to me." Clay stated matter of fact.

"I thought i would be meeting Lindsey by now. What's going with that.?" Ellison asked. Looking to his father. As he came into the home.
After being picked up from his after school activities.
Lucas sighed deeply.
"Lindsey and I are working through some things." He replied.
"I can't do this Lucas. Be with you but barely in you're life."
"You say you want to build something real and laasting."
"But i feel like the only person who's been opening up and sharing is me. You're heart isn't mine to have."
"You've given that part of yourself away long before we met."
"I know you won't admit that but i will."
"Its over Lucas. We're over." Lindsey stated matter of fact. Before re entering her home.
