I don't own DC Universe, Genshin Impact, and other franchise except this story.

The Void was a strange, terrifying, but beautiful and quiet place. A woman with white hair, orange eyes and wears a black and orange hairpin, a yellow collar, black fur on her shoulders, a black, white, and pink suit, a long black and pink glove on her left hand and a black glove one on her right hand, a white and orange wing, black and pink shorts, black thigh highs and bandages wrapping around her feet.
She was looking at the man, wearing black shirt with the words, Genshin Impact on it, and wearing a denim pants, in front of her with cold eyes with a hint of gentle love at him. In her left hand was seven orbs, each colored in light green, gold, purple, green, navy blue, red and ice blue. "Don't worry my love, we will be reunited at the end of your journey." She shoved the orbs into the man, and to insure no one in the world she is about to send him to knows about him yet, she took out all the powers the orbs has inside of them.
She then open several portals, each leading to a separate location of the world, and shattered the powers into several pieces and send them into each of portals. "I know you will be upset when you found out what I have to you, but it was for your sake, my love." She kissed him on the cheek before opening another portal before turning her head to see another being, being pitch black all over with only red eyes being the only thing that makes it remotely human. He pointed at him, and a beam of laser shot at him before dispersing.
He crossed his arm and left them, dissolving into a black liquid. She glared at the spot where he left before turning to the man in front of her. She sighed before pushing him into the portal and closing, "Be safe my love."
Gotham City, United States of America, 9:03PM
The portal opened to an alleyway in Gotham City, the worst city of America to the point where if someone was given a million dollar if he could go to Gotham to live in it, he wouldn't accept it. The man was dumped atop of a trash can.
"Oh goddammit!" the man cursed himself as he saw where he landed and became disgusted. He puts in an annoyed face before climbing out from the trash can. He dusted himself for a while, making sure there isn't any trash on him at all. He then stopped and looked around to see he is in an unfamiliar alleyway.
"Where the hell am I?" he asked himself. He's trying to figure out where the hell he is, he knows for certain he was not home for certain. He had a feeling he wasn't anywhere familiar to him.
"Ah man is this some kind of hallucination because if so, then I need to stop drinking." He put a hand on the back of his head to soothe his headache but somehow, he didn't have any headaches at all. Either he was in a dream that looked real, or he wasn't sleeping at all. This looked very much real to him.
First POV
I attempted to get up from the trashes, but I accidentally cut myself on a piece of glass. "Damn it that's hurts! Well at least that solve one mystery, but I still need to figure out where the hell am I." I walked slowly out of the alleyway I was in and saw large buildings in a somewhat gothic style, like every building was plain sad to looked at. Even I knew that it was sad to looked at.
Before I did anything else, a newspaper smacked me in the face, making me stumbled before I ripped it away from my face. What I saw from the newspaper made my heart dropped to my feet.
Batman beat the Joker Again!
Joker recently joined forces with Jonathan Crane, aka the Scarecrow, to create a fear-based Joker Gas to force everyone into insanity. Thankfully, Batman manages to stopped them but not before a dozen lives were lost during the attack. When will the Joker ever get his execution date?
"OH FUCK ME!" I yelled before putting down the newspaper then mentally running around in a mad panic. Of all the places I'm here, it has to be a fucking DC world. A place full of literal aliens, superheroes, villains, and Gods pretty sure.
I'm gonna die here for sure! 100% if I stay in one place or more specific Gotham city. Home of insane criminals and a Batman crusader. I need to get out of here fast and possible before anyone figures out there's something wrong around Gotham.
I quickly walked away from the alley, threw the newspaper away and walked fast through the crowds of civilians. Before I walked further, some random guy bumped into me and gave me something before strolling away, disappearing in the crowd. "Hey, guy you kind of dropped th-" I tried to find him, but I couldn't, so I took a look at the item he gave me, it was some kind of a book and a king chess piece with parts of it colored light green. It was somewhat glowing in dark sense while the chess piece was glowing in greenish scene.
The world turned grey when I looked at it, when I looked away from the book and the chess piece, I looked around frantically after seeing everyone and everything stopped moving. I looked at the book again, and I had the strongest urge to tap the book and chess piece. So I tapped both of them. They disappeared before my eye when a screen pop up before me.

What in the living shit is this?! Is this my cheat item? The gamer system, hold on it doesn't display some of the characteristics of the gamer system, yet it shows some similarities. And what is this, Air Bullet? And also, what the hell are the 'minor,' and 'major' are, and what in the hell is 'element unlock?'
Time starting moving again and I was bumped into again when I wasn't looking.
"Hey watch where your going." a man said in front of me while looking annoyed.
"Oh uhh, sorry I didn't look where I was walking." I apologetically said to the man in front of me while trying to come up with an excuse before I came up with one. "Just read the newspaper since there is a lot of things going on in Gotham.
"...Yeah, that's what everyone says." the man forlorn said before he walked away from me. I gazed at the man for a while before I decided to walk through the streets of Gotham. It seems Gotham does look depressing and dangerous at the same time.
I need a place, a temporarily place to test my new acquired powers I just got from a stranger, but I can't do it somewhere where Batman and the government keeps their eyes on me. I remembered to not look at the street camera, just one look and he goes suspicions on you. That's something I want to avoid.
I tried to remember where the port is in Gotham since in the batman series, it does display some locations. I walked randomly for a while, around the city. Making sure to act casual and no suspicious movement. Finally I arrived at what it looks like to be directions where the Gotham Port says.
I walked towards the direction where the port is before making glances if there is any cameras in the corner of the areas. Thankfully there isn't the case for this place, so I looked for something before I saw a trashcan. "Now, how can I use the Air Bullet? Just aim my hand at the trashcan maybe?" I aimed my left hand at the trashcan and focused on it. Air starting forming all the palm of his hand, forming into a small softball before being launched at the trashcan, denting it, and sending it crashing into a wall and falling on the ground.
…
…
…
"Ohhhhhh shit." I said in shock. I was surprised at the power of the sheer power of the attack. I tried to use Air Bullet again, but I felt that it will take about 1 day to use it again.
"Oh shit indeed man." A voice spoke out, making me jump in fear before looking for the one who said. I saw the one who said that, he seems to be an old man in his sixty with mustache, wearing a fancy suit with a red tie to the suit. Next to him were some fancy-dress men, 6 of them I counted, with a four other men in punk clothing. "Mind telling me what was that just now, and are you a meta-human or some guy who just got lucky with life?"
I gulped in fear, considering I can't fight well and the only ability I have a long cooldown. As well as one shot so I have no choice but to tell him the truth, at least until I have enough power to beat them. "That was my powers, and I was testing them since I just got them after some random guy stabbed me with a syringe."
The man hummed in thought while one of the fancy-dressed guy gave him one of those old cigars, which he takes. He smoke on it for a moment before speaking, "Listen kid, you looked like you need some help and I need some help with some problems that been popping. So you either join me, or we can make a grave for you at this spot. Choose your options."
I considered my options for a bit, and decided that since, A, I am defenseless with my Air Bullet on cooldown. B, can't exactly for shit and C, I'm outnumber. With a reluctant sigh and shaking my head I made my decision. "Alright where do I start?"
This is not how I imagine my first day in DC universe. I should've been more careful than heading towards a suspicious place.
The man in front of me nods his head before puffing out smoke. "Smart decision, your first task is to keep a close lookout for any police or more importantly Batman."
"You do know Batman has eyes everywhere you know." I added my opinion to my new(Forced) boss, which is technically true and can't deny that.
"Yeah well your first job is to shut your mouth before that tongue of yours will no longer be useful." he turned to me with anger on his face, making me gulp a bit and closed my mouth. The fancy dressed man shakes his head before smoking his cigar. "But I do have to admit, the bats does have eyes everywhere, nothing can hide a secret from that bats." He turned again to face me with a stoic expression. "If you managed to get the job done without the police or Batman interrupting, I'll consider a promotion for you."
"Yes boss." I nod my head to him, just as I was about to head for the barracks, I stopped when I remembered something. "Though I'm still practicing my powers I'm still a novice and I nee-OFF!" I was suddenly interrupted when something landed on my chest. I looked down and saw I was holding an AK47 machine gun.
"Do your job properly and I might think about it." he rudely said to me before leaving me alone. I stared at him before looking at the gun at my hands. I don't know how to use a real-life gun but games experience, help me out.
I gulped and followed him while he was heading to jewelry store with most of the group he was in following inside beside the guy, with one standing outside to help me keep watch for the cops and/or Batman. I nervously kept watch, looking up on occasion, which I told the other guy, named Michael, that since Batman like to go by the rooftop. That made him go inside for a moment before him and two of the punks came back outside with the two other guy going to the rooftop to keep watch for Batman.
"Thanks for warning us about that. I mean, seriously, considering how long he been around, we could have known about that by now." Michael said, glad that spot was covered, but just then we heard a crash, and I started to go around the corner when I saw one of the punks inside a dumpster with the other one being grabbed by Batman.
"OH SHIT! BATSY THE HERO IS HERE!" Michael immediately went inside and seconds later, the whole group (minus the two punks) ran out to the cars, one of the fancy-dress man grabbed me and drag me into one of the cars. Everyone drove off in different direction to keep Batman off each of their trails. I saw a bag filled with jewelry and other expensive items, before one of the men sneak a look outside and sigh in relief, "Ok boys, we're free. Now we need to head back to Carmine Falcone and give him the goods."
Carmine WHO now?! Fucking great now, I'm going to meet the freaking Roman, the man who made Gotham shit their pants in fear and awe of him.
3 Hours Later
We were at the main base of operations, in a fancy mansion place. It honestly looks breathtaking when you look at it in first point of view instead of seeing it in a show or in a tour. Damn I could get used to this. I sat down at a stone bench while ramming through my thoughts, just before I was called.
"Hey kid."
I looked up and saw the same fancy dressed man who was still smoking his cigar. He looked both pleased and satisfied. "Not bad on your first day huh? Normally it would be almost entirely impossible to spot or outrun the Bats."
"Well." I scratched the back of my head nervously before I looked at him. "Batman usual goes for the rooftop quickly with his gadgets and stuff. I only spotted him only for a moment."
"And that moment is what gave us a big opportunity. Gotta say kid your powers might prove to be some use after all." his cigar was finished as he dropped it and stomped it before twisting it. He shifted his gaze at me with seriousness. "The boss wants to meet with you, wanting to see a new superpowered recruit."
"Huh?!" I stood up straightly, dropped my gun making my eyes widen the fact that I am going to meet with one of the legendary villain figure in Batman's time. THE Carmine Falcone, one of the legendary mobster there is and an early enemy to Batman himself.
The fancy man smirked at my action before patting my back. "Don't worry kiddo, Falcone is actually impressed by your quick reaction and bit interested in your power. So don't try to miss this opportunity, you're not in trouble but proved your worth here."
"Kinda almost discouraging me here. I have a gun that's pointed at my head the moment I walk to his office."
"Hey that's not true...well kinda." he turned his head to side, trying to come up with a response but he got nothing to say. He again shift his gaze to me. "Just stay calm and remember not to piss Falcone off. One wrong move and." he didn't say anything but slide his finger across his throat.
I know what means and I don't need words to explain it. Seeing I wasn't responding he turned around and walked forward as I followed him. When we were at the front of the mansion the doors opened with butlers at the side bowing down to us.
We ignored their gesture and went upstairs, turning left before walking past a few rooms. Once we I admire the design and furniture through the mansion hallway. Rich people does have their tendency to show off their wealth but in most cases mobsters. I know some of them were paid by blood or stolen.
We stopped by a double side door which indicate Falcone is there, behind those doors were his office, I sweat in fear, knowing that I have to watch my move 24/7 since I am facing the Roman himself. The two men guarding the door open them and gestures me inside, which I did before glancing at my new(somewhat) friend who was finger saluting me good luck. The doors closes and I turned around to see a rotating chair behind a fancy desk with a man in an advanced age. His face had a few wrinkles on it with white hair adoring his head, combed back. He was drinking wine from a cup with a second cup of wine left untouched.
I sweat nervously before walking forward with some nervousness. Carmine looked at me with a smirk, knowing I was keeping my guard up with him. "Ah you finally arrived! Come on kid, have a drink with me. Considering the luck we just had, a special treatment if you could say." Carmine said, gesturing the wine in front of him. I reluctantly grabbed the wine and drank it, I coughed when I took my first sip of the wine, making Carmine laughed, "First time drinking wine, boy?" I nodded and put down my drink to catch my breath while Carmine watches with a smirk.
"Let me tell you something kid, ever since Batman showed up, crimes have been on the down-low until these super-villains showed up. And let's just said, shit has been hard on us, but I managed to occasionally hired some of them for the jobs my men have been pulling but to no luck. Business has been getting...dull you can say." Carmine took a sip of wine before looking at me with a smirk on his face. "Until you came along, and for the first time since Batman came along, my boys managed to successfully make a heist, sure the goods was less than I wanted but considering the loss of both the goods and my men if Batman had interfered, I said it was worth it."
I gave him a small smile, not enough for him to notice it. "Thank you for the compliment, Mr. Falcone. Glad I was able to make you proud despite the very short time I assisted your group."
He waved me off, saying I shouldn't be modest considering he just saved most of his boys from jailtime. "So why come to Gotham anyway, considering the amount of crime and insanity this place has?"
I shrugged and said, "I didn't came to Gotham of my own free will, I was knocked out, and when I woke up, I found myself in Gotham. And then some random guy gave me something that granted me this power." Carmine raised his brow in surprise and shock and he almost his wine. He looked at me like I was joking but saw that I wasn't kidding, so he laughed hard.
"Kid, that is the strangest thing I ever heard of how you got your superpowers!" He patted me on the back, "Sometimes there is always strange shit going on nowadays." he rubbed his chin in thought for a few seconds before looking at me with a business smile. "Tell you what, you can "officially" join my…well, family and I can make you a captain." I started to sweat, this could help me for a while but even I know that Batman, aka Bruce Wayne, will come after me like a bloodhound.
"Well, uhhhhhh." I struggled to get the words out of my mouth, trying to make a sentence but I'm just so goddamn nervous! How am I supposed to come up with a proper sentence when I'm debating on whether to join Carmine Falcone gang or be a superhero. "Well sir it's a might good offer and all. Its actually an excellent proposal-"
Carmine put his hand up while putting his hand away from my shoulders and walked back to his desk. "I understand your little dilemma here. You are young and still immature, I won't force you to choose since you did a mighty good work." he sat down at his desk before taking out a cigar and lit it. Once he lit the cigar he took a breath on it before puffing out smoke. He shifted his gaze to me. "Here is my offer to you, you can walk that door behind you and leave my premises. You will be given some money enough to start a new life for you, whether you want to be politicians, broker, scientist, doctor, hell even a superhero? I don't give a shit.
I was actually thinking on about that option, leaving the Falcone gang sounds not a bad idea after all. I wouldn't have to be pursued by the batman, his bat family or even any of the future justice league. I might even be a hero. Though there is some difference when you become a hero, you'll be a target to the villains as well like the Joker or Gorilla Grodd.
"Or." he continued his speech as I twirled myself and saw him leaning on his desk, facing at me with serious expression on his face. "You can join the Falcone family, I will repeat what I just said. If you can managed to keep up the good work, you will be much more rewarded. Enough money, jewels even artifacts. But that's not all, you will have some time to practice your newly found ability, I can even hire some people to help you train your powers."
"You...would do that? For me?"
"All in a day's matter of work. The employees benefit me I benefit them as well." he leaned back on his chair before puffing out smoke out from his mouth, typical mobster boss he is. "So what's it going to be kid? Your choice." he said, waiting for an answer from me.
I think about it, real hard, and think of the pros and cons of this. Pro: I have a connection to most powerful mob boss in pocket (figuratively). Con: Batman, his sidekick, his Justice League friends and others. But then I started to think about the cons to this, I know everything about them, including Batman/Bruce Wayne's older brother, Thomas Wayne Jr. And then I think about the pros of this, Carmine can hire the best trainers for me, like Deadshot and Deathstroke. And if Carmine died and if I managed to make him like me enough, he could make me his heir.
"Mister Falcone, I decided to join your family, sir." He smirked, and stood up, "Good decision, and we would have toast to this but I need have my boys train to how to handle alcohol so we can finally toast." I nodded, and he led me out of his office, and both of his guards outside the room followed us, with the fancy-dress man sitting on one of the chairs in the hallway, reading a newspapers about the Falcone gang escaping Batman, looked up and saw Mr. Falcone and me with the guards walking by.
He stood up straight, the newspaper dropping to the ground. Carmine looked at him, "Ricky, please lead….." He looked at me with a face that said, 'what's my name?', "Markus." "Markus to his new home for the time being until one of my men gives him a job, understood." The fancy-dress man, Ricky, nodded and led me downstairs to one of the cars. "Don't know what you did but welcome to the family now, Markus."
We got into the car and Ricky drove the car off, me wondering if I set off a chain of events with my decision.
