Chapter 23: Maid Girlfriends

"Okay, since it's been decided, it's up to everyone to vote on the candidates for the maid!" Hiratsuka quietly announced, and then asked everyone to vote for the election.

Each person got only one vote, so they needed to consider things carefully: Which girl would they like to see in maid outfits the most? By the way, they could even vote for men, but hopefully nobody had fetish like that…

Suddenly, Shido had an ominous feeling that someone might want to vote for him.

Thankfully, Miku wasn't here, so it should be fine.

Fumino Furuhashi could only hope that no one wanted to see her in a maid outfit.

However, her popularity was still very high, despite the fact that she was a bit flat. You know, flatness was also a rare trait, and many people liked it.

After class, Shido quickly left the classroom and ran in the corridor, hoping to get some privacy before his classmates circled him.

"So, the maid outfit is your romance, Shido?" A cold voice sounded off in Shido's ears.

"Ah…Natsumi…" Shido was startled by the voice, then gave a wry smile upon looking down on his chest. Natsumi just transformed herself into a tiny figure and hid in his shirt's pocket.

"You love maid outfits so much that you even want the teacher in one?" Natsumi continued asking in a cold voice.

"No no no, I was just getting back at her, I swear!" Shido quickly shook his head, earning a slight "huh" from Natsumi.

Fortunately, she let him off the hook, which made him let out a sigh of relief.

In Natsumi's mind, she was thinking if she should wear a maid outfit tonight just for him. She realized that the other Spirits had all tried wearing one in front of him, and they all looked very attractive. However, her figure was just too petite and flat, giving her no hope of seducing him.

"Shido, is your house short of maids?" Umaru suddenly popped out of nowhere and asked Shido with expectant eyes.

"No need for one." Shido shook his head without showing an element of surprise, and Natsumi managed not to let out a loud noise upon the shock.

"Even if you don't have any shortage, you can always hire..." Umaru pointed at herself and hinted strongly.

"Hiring you? No kidding, if you cook, I'm afraid you will burn down my house!" Shido sneered and said rudely.

"How could it be?" Umaru smiled a little embarrassedly. She imagined a little, and realized that might be true.

"See me again when you have learned how to do housework!" Shido said softly. He wanted to let the other party give up, after all, Umaru was too lazy to even do simple chores such as wiping the table.

But he didn't know that this gave Umaru a goal to work toward, and by the way, she was actually a genius in many aspects.

"Okay! When I learn housework, I'll be a maid at your house." Umaru said with a smile, she decided to go home and ask her brother how to cook.

"Maids? I didn't expect Shido to be into this..." Mai Sakurajima, who had just arrived, looked at Shido curiously. If she had not been wearing a bunny girl suit, but a maid outfit, would there have been a different result?

"No problem, our class is going to do maid cafe as well. If friendzone-senpai is interested in maids, please come by and have a look. By the way, I will also be wearing a maid outfit..." Iroha said with a light smile.

"Let's hope my schedule allows me to." Shido said indifferently...

"You are so mean, senpai! Why can't you look forward to it?" Iroha bit her lip and asked pitifully.

"Wow, I'm rea~lly look~ing forward to it!" Shido said with feigned enthusiasm.

"It's not sincere at all..." Iroha said angrily.

"By the way, is your class also doing a maid cafe? Mine too!" Shido said curiously, but this was a common program at cultural festivals. After all, only clothes and cute girls were needed, and there was no need to prepare other things.
