Anger. It is a small word, a simple word. And yet it means so much, can cause so much pain. This is what she discovered. She sat in the chair, furiously clicking away at her keyboard. She slammed the lid of the Dell laptop shut and tore out a finger nail on her left hand, mesmerized by the blood. She stood, still watching, and cryed. She did not know what she was crying for, nor did she care. She knew something was wrong, and she knew she was lonely.

Anger swirled inside of her. She grabbed her pounding head, burried her fingers deep in her hair, and shrieked. It was not uncommon for her. She sunk to her knees, staring at the ground, still holding her head. She lightly unwound her fingers from her hair, and lashed out viciously when she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder. She screamed, but there were no words. She stared at the male figure, seething. She did not want to be bothered. She did not want to be touched. She wanted silence, which she could not have. She needed the peacefulness of her own mind, the white room.

Yes, she needed that white room. The one they had locked her up in for so long, so many years ago. She wanted this boy to not be here, she wanted him gone. She wanted to exist elsewhere, and yet nowhere at all. As she thought of this, anger boiled and snaked around her entrails. She clawed out, desperately reaching for a freedom she would never have. She latched on to something, someone, and pulled them closer. It was that same boy. She did not recognize him. Her eyes widened and she put her face directly in front of his.

"Klauen haben verboten, du siehst mich nicht!" she whispered harshly. "Claws forbidden, you do not see me!"

"I..do not understand," the boy breathed.

The girl once more uttered a cry of anguish.

"Nicht warte ich."

"For what? For what are you waiting?" he asked her.

She bowed her head, her hair falling over and around her face. She mumbled something, words that he could

not decipher. She looked up at him, clutching on to his shoulders, and frowned.

"Bitte vergeben Sie mich, fur ich habe gesundigt," she whispered.

She fell backwards slowly. Darkness entered her mind and she evanesced before his eyes, to be seen no more.

"Please forgive me, for I have sinned," he repeated, then added, "And my anger has taken me over and pulled me down under."
