So in Thunderbirds Are Go there's the Global Conflict of 2040. This is about 20 years before the events of the series.
I think all but Alan are old enough to have been alive during that time.
Scott most certainly will remember it. Virgil and John might.
Was International Rescue in operation then? Was that what sparked Jeff to set it up?
I'm just envisioning Jeff out single handedly trying to save the world, while Scott, Virgil and John are up way past their bedtimes aware that there are bad things happening in the world and not truly understanding them. Watching TV in the dark.
Little six year old Scott answering the call at his dad's desk, missing his two front teeth going "You have reached international rescue, how can I help?" doing his best rescue scout training while he forwards the call to someone who can help.
Brains, Grandma, or Lucille flying out the woodwork like "NO SCOTT DON'T PLAY WITH THAT!"
In turn Sineater and I were inspired to write this little snippet:
Scott: Hewwo? THthis is the Twacy house. How may I help you? Oh. Yes. Yes THthis is the wright place. One moment Missta Pwesident…I go get my Daddy…Daaaaady, the Pwesident is on tha fone for you
Jeff - distracted: President of what, Scotty?
Scott: He said the world, Daddy.
Jeff - drops pen, stares at Scott
Jeff - throwing papers on the floor as he scrabbles for the phone
Jeff: Mr President! What can I do to help you?…
Later:
Jeff: how many times have we discussed you not answering the red phone, Scott?
Scott: at least stheven, Daddy.
