Living in the Shadows
Creeping through
The night's unaware
Running from the light
Lurking in the dark corners

So silently I walk around
Staying in your shadow
Never breaking free
Never wanting to leave
My darkened home

Look at me
My tears are true
My heart is in dismay
I feel so alone

What am I saying?
I am alone

Strolling along this street of hope
Beside the crystal ocean
I only hear children sing
Sing a song of joy for me

The street of hope has gone away
Eroded from memory
Entangled in tragedy
Because of my foolish mistake

The crystal sea is filled with tears
More than what it needs to live
It's dying ever so slowly and painfully
As I am at this very moment

I wish I could hold you
But I cannot
I am doomed in this timeless zone
Forever alone

Stepping out of your shadow
I flow out and hide back in
But only when it's dark
For I live in the shadows

My second poem about my love, Harry. This particular poem is a lot tamer than the first one entitled "Darkened light." The next one I'm going to post is "A desire for revenge."
