With the full picture of everything that has happened in the past two months and is happening right now, and the intel Hunter Team 2, Sierra Team 1 and British S.A.S./S.B.S. delivered, Overlord now fully trusts Price's team and is discreetly coordinating with Baseplate to get to the bottom of everything.
Price: The bastard used Fregata Industries and Charity Worldwide as fronts to distribute the WMDs. The intel I got from their Ukrainian HQ should have the details.
Overlord: We've already started working on it. Thank you, captain.
Price: Always an honor to serve. Price, out.
Overlord: French Special Forces have located Volk. GIGN tracked him deep behind enemy lines, but they're pinned down.

Overlord: 595, this is Overlord actual. Negative. All U.S. forces in Paris are engaged. Triage the civilians and move your team upwind of the plume.
Sandman, Grinch and Frost touch down with Truck in charge of primary extraction, Hunter Team 2 and Sierra Team 1 as the QRF and emergency extraction, and Callsign: Warhammer as the AC-130 CAS, all in urban tactical gear with CBRN equipment. Urban specifications include bluish ACU FAST helmets and combat shirts, MARPAT Desert Sand combat pants, and Sandstone headsets, plate carrier vests, gloves, battle belts, rucksacks and boots.
With a chance to find Makarov and the lives of the GIGN operators on the line, everyone puts on their game faces, especially Frost in his silent but deadly and helpful manner, similar to Ramirez's. Four minutes of clearing apartments and a bookstore later, Metal Team frees the GIGN from heavy resistance.
Along the way, Frost and Grinch spot two groups of gas tanks emitting the chemical weapon on the first and second floors of the recently cleared bookstore. Sandman commends them, places GPS markers on the stashes for the friendly decon units, and tells them to keep an eye out for more.
At the Palme D'or Restaurant, Frost, Sandman and Grinch meet Sabre, the TL, with his combat effective teammates, Faucon, Tueur and Flament. With the rendezvous and SITREP complete, the GIGN lead Metal Team to the Catacombs of Paris, which is Volk's last known location, and the Fregata/Charity and Russian Airborne Troops' staging area.

En route to the Catacombs, the JTF clears a courtyard in front of the Palme D'or Restaurant and other establishments nearby. Frost, Grinch, Tueur and Flament provide cover fire and clear the courtyard in a straightforward gunfight, while Sandman, Sabre and Faucon clear any building that is filled with Russians and terrorists in CQB.
Once the area is cleared, and the remaining active, wounded and dead GIGN operators in the restaurant are extracted, the main teams move to get to the Catacombs' sewer entrance. But before leaving, they find and tag two more clusters of chemical containers at the end of the courtyard and on top of the its exit staircase.
Then they encounter a platoon sized force backed by two GAZ-2975 Tigrs trucks, one with a Kord-12.7mm HMG, so they call in Warhammer.
Frost: Whoa! Move to cover, quick!
Flament: Covering! Go!
Frost: Good cover, friend! Now go on! I'll cover you!
Faucon: To us, Flament!
Grinch: Boss, we got bad guys inbound.
Sandman: How many we got?
Grinch: Looks like Moscow down there! We're gonna need air support!
Sandman: Warhammer, this is Metal 0-1. Request fire mission, over.
Warhammer: Roger, Metal 0-1. Established in orbit at 12,000 feet. Full load. Mark your targets.
Frost throws purple smoke to mark the enemy platoon.
Frost: Metal 0-4 to Warhammer, purple smoke is out. You're cleared hot, over.
Warhammer: Roger, spot.
Raining fire from the gunship's L60 Bofors 40mm Cannon and M102 Howitzer 105mm Cannon.
Frost: Clear! Nice work, Warhammer.
Sabre: Down the alley!
Sandman: Let's go.
Warhammer: Orbit re-established. Ready for targets.
Now there are three targets of opportunity. An MI-17 dropping reinforcements, a BTR-80 protecting the alley that leads to the Catacombs' sewer entrance, and its infantry support.
Frost goes for denying the Russians their reinforcements by tossing the smoke below the hovering chopper. For the APC, with Warhammer needing to re-adjust after a fire mission, he has another idea with an intact RPG-7V and a bag full of rockets he saw along the first alley.
Warhammer: Good mark.
Sandman: Direct hit! Good work!
Grinch: BTR is still up!
Frost: Not for long. Stand clear!
A 30mm 2A72 Automatic Cannon blown off and four rockets later, the BTR-80 gets destroyed.
Sandman: BTR destroyed! Way to improvise, Frost!
Warhammer: Visual friendlies. Call targets.
Frost, with satisfaction, throws another purple smoke marker to finish off the armored vehicle's infantry support and clear the area. Once clear, he and the others encounter and mark another two stashes of toxin spewing cannisters on two opposite sides of the intersection, sitting next to two balloon store carts, probably trying to hide in plain sight.
Frost: Target: enemy infantry in the open. Hit 'em hard, Warhammer.
Warhammer: Roger, spot.
Sandman: Multiple hits confirmed!
Frost: Great shooting up there.
Grinch: We're clear!
Sabre: The entrance is up ahead.
Frost: I got another group of these cans here. Shooting like a sprinkler. Next to a balloon store? Sick fucks.
Grinch: Opposite you. Another stash. Shit, you're right. Cunts.
Sandman: Copy. You know what to do.
Frost and Grinch: Marked.
Warhammer: Metal 0-1, I am bingo om fuel. Give me ten mikes to gas up and rearm, over.
Sandman: Roger that. Thanks for the assist, Warhammer.
Sabre: Over here! The sewer entrance to the Catacombs!
The GIGN opens the hatch and takes point. Once given the all clear, Sandman and Grinch enter while Frost covers them, enters last and closes up to keep the enemy guessing.
Inside, Sandman uses a chemical weapon scanner to check for toxins in the sewers. The device shows negative contamination, so everyone can take their gas masks off for a better field of view.
With everyone's headgear and eyewear adjusted (Frost's Sandstone balaclava and black-tinted, two-way shooter goggles, Sandman's two-way sunglasses, Grinch's cap, headset and two-way sunglasses, Sabre's half balaclava and riot helmet w/ clear shooter goggles, Faucon's black balaclava and clear riot helmet, Tueur's black balaclava and yellow-tinted riot helmet, and Flament's black balaclava and yellow-tinted, two-way shooter goggles... details), Sabre leads the way with one light source from his helmet.
En route to the hostile staging area, Metal Team marks their route with flares so that Overlord, Hunter Team 2 and Sierra Team 1 can find them, if QRF is needed. Sandman and Sabre also talk about the decimated GIGN in their barracks at Satory caused by a coordinated chemical strike, with the master sergeant mentioning a friend of his who might be one of the casualties there.
Frost: We've also heard of a Commander Morel there. Warned us about it before he died over the video comms.
Tueur: *sighs* He and the other commanders there were directly exposed after they wore their masks.
Flament: The toxins they inhaled were consuming them until they died, in our arms.
Frost: (French) I'm very sorry.
Faucon: (English) Thank you.
Sabre: Je suis désolé...this is why Volk must pay for what he's done.
Grinch: He will. I'll see to that.
Arriving at the Catacombs of Paris itself and checking its corners, Frost now finds himself tailing behind Sabre. Then the GIGN leader gets ambushed with a gate falling on him, but he catches it without falling down, kills the paratrooper who tried to kill him, and Frost covers his back by killing another one responding to the gunfire at the end of the hallway.
Frost: I got you.
Grinch: Flashbang!
While moving up, the team gets stunned by a flashbang. Luckily, nobody got hurt or killed because Volk got in the line of fire of his guards by spraying and praying at the operators, not hitting a single one.
After dealing with the security team, they chase Volk all the way to the Catacombs' main entrance/exit, where three paratroopers in a gray sedan extract him. So the GIGN covers Metal Team to one of their vans parked across the street to go after him.
With Grinch behind the wheel receiving directions from Overlord, Frost and Sandman cover the rear with an RSAF (Royal Small Arms Factory) Enfield L86 LSW with a BSA Optics PMRS Pano Multi Reticle Sight found in their vehicle. 200 plus rounds later, the machine gun jams and malfunctions entirely when the POPP (Pull bolt, Observe bad round ejection, Push bolt, Pull trigger) method failed, but most of the enemy pursuers have been thinned out.
Frost: Gun jam! POPP failure!
Sandman: You've thinned them out, but rifle up! Drive! Drive!
Grinch: Taking a short cut!
Sandman: That helo's making another run at us!
Frost: No clear shot!
Grinch: Got him!
Sandman: Frost, swap rifles, ride shotgun! We're gaining on him! Floor it!
Grinch: Target is dead ahead!
Frost: Popped his tires!

Sandman: Got the helo!
Grinch: Ramming him, hang on!
In lightning quick seconds, Frost kills the last of Volk's protection as Grinch slams his car against a barricade. The impact kills his driver and with the all the doors blocked, the HVI has nowhere left to go.
Sandman grabs and subdues him before he could reach for one of his driver's weapons. Frost covers him while Grinch scans and secures all sectors before calling Truck for extraction.
Grinch: Rabbit vehicle is down! Take him!
Sandman: C'mere, asshole! This is Metal 0-1! Jackpot! Volk secure!
Frost: You're in a world of shit now, fuckface!
Sandman: Aren't you, you son of a bitch?!
Overlord: Bring him in for interrogation. We'll extract any intel he has on Makarov.
Grinch: Truck, we got Volk. We're on our way.
Truck: Copy. Raptor 2 is spinnin' up now, ETA fifteen minutes.
