Boromir

A Poem

By: wtchkngslyr1379

I know what you seek.

I know what you want.

Is it gold and shiny?

Is it easy to flaunt?

I know your ways.

I know your good.

Did it call to you?

Did it keep under your hood?

I know you are strong.

I know you are bold.

Does it speak your name?

Is it taking hold?

It will not help you.

So don't even try.

Do you see its gold color?

Will you try to lie?

I know you will ask.

I know you will try,

Is it okay?

Will you try to hide?

I know it haunts you.

I know you will break.

Will it hurt you that much?

Is your life at stake?

I know you were shot.

I know of what you lost.

Did you actually expect it?

Did you know the costs?

I know what you gained.

I know who joins you.

Did it ever hurt?

Did people ever mourn you?

Yes, my dear Boromir you sailed away that day.

Sailed away to a place so peaceful.

So peaceful you will lay.
