Disclaimer: Nope. I own nothing O.C. related.
A/N: This is just a very short something that sort of came to me one night. I really don't know if this will make much sense to you. But, I decided to just put it out there. So, please read and review. Thanks a lot.
Just A Ride
Life is simply just a ride.
However, sometimes you feel like you need your own guide.
But in the end, it's up to you to decide, the directions in which this ride will take you.
If only you somehow knew.
Should you go left? Or do you need to turn right?
It's something you can't help but fight.
So, you open your eyes wide.
Hold your head high with pride.
And think back to all those times that you have cried.
But, you can't remember what you cried for. So, you take a detour.
Hoping that you will remember more.
Then, you finally begin to soar.
The ride begins to quicken its pace.
As you come to the end of the long race.
And you look up at his face.
Smiling, you embrace him with such grace.
Life is simply just a ride.
You decide.
It turns out you never actually lied.
You just never really could understand why life was considered, 'just a ride'.
Until now.
--------------
Marissa stood at the alter, looking up at her husband to be.
"You may now kiss the bride." The priest announced.
Ryan leaned in kissing Marissa softly on the lips.
Then, looking from Ryan to all of their family members and friends, she realized that maybe the ride was only beginning.
She smiled, as she took his hand, and walked down the aisle with her husband.
After all, as cliché as this may sound, when one of life's adventures comes to an end, another one is just beginning.
