A shoutout to GreymonFireX, I will not be doing a Yu-Gi-Oh! crossover with ARC-V and Sevens or a rewrite of Frost190's Presage of Malevolence. This fanfic is purely made to give the ARC-V anime series of Yu-Gi-Oh! a better ending than what was given.
Cruise Ship - Fusion Dimension
"Ugh..." Dennis groaned as he opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was a blue sky with seagulls flying overhead.
"Have a nice nap, Dennis?"
For a moment, Dennis saw that the mysterious girl from his recent visions was looking at him, but his vision cleared as saw that it was Celina that looked down on him. He also found that he was on a beach chair on the cruise ship. He was so shocked that he sat right up and fell out of the chair before pointing to Celina, who was sitting in a chair by his, with a trembling hand as she looked at him with an unimpressed expression.
"C-Celina?! How did I - ?!" Dennis' mind was still in confusion, so he was unable to form complete sentences as he tried to make sense of the situation.
"Alright, calm down McField! Try and remember the last thing before waking up in this crazy situation."
Then he widened his eyes as he remembered what happened. His loss against Yusho and getting knocked out by Celina before he could turn himself into a card.
"So... you're finally awake."
Dennis looked up when a shadow covered him. When he looked up, he saw Yuto, Lulu, and Zuzu were looking down at him. Finally looking at his surroundings, he saw that the other Lancers weren't far away, along with Yusho, Alexis, and the You Show Duel School students. They were having their own conversations with the passengers or each other.
Dennis rubbed his stomach as he got back up. "I guess you're not gonna let me get off the hook like that, right?"
"Nope." Celina replied, before taking Dennis by the collar and forcing him to stand. Then she gave him another punch, this time on his face, that, once again, knocked him down.
"Do you really think that carding yourself it's really going to make up for all the trouble you've caused?!" Celina scolded. She then yanked on the redhead's collar furiously.
"Well, it's not! It's the easy way out, not the hard way to redemption! The way of a coward, not someone who regrets their action!" Celina then pushed Dennis to the ground.
"You want to make things up with us? Then help us stop Duel Academy and save Yuya!" Celina huffed as she finished her scolding.
"Dennis..." Lulu finally spoke up. "Our duel in Heartland when you were performing was fun. I truly enjoyed it." She said it with a genuine smile, no lies in her words. "I would like it if we could do that again."
Dennis was flummoxed as he stared hard at Lulu. It wasn't difficult to understand that the girl had forgiven him. "She forgives me? After everything I did to her and her brother? Is she really Shay's sister?"
Zuzu patted Dennis' back, shifting his attention over to her. "The same goes for me. I had fun in our duel in the Arc League Championship. You said we'd have a rematch... right?"
Zuzu then took Dennis' hand into hers. "Then let's have it, not as part of some cover, but as true dueltainers." Similarly, like Lulu, Zuzu's smile was genuine.
"Even after all you've done to his friends, Yuya still considers you one." Yuto revealed to Dennis. "I was stuck in his body when you visited him in Heartland, so I felt everything he did. I know what he truly thinks of you.
You're going to prove him right in his belief of you by helping us as a true Lancer, not some spy working for Duel Academy." Yuto glared at him as he made the statement clear. "To be completely honest, I still don't trust you, even after learning your part in Lulu's abduction. But Yuya taught me that I have to learn how to forgive if I really want peace. You can still be forgiven."
Yusho walked over after hearing all their chatter. He then did what he always did when he confronted his students, he patted Dennis' head lightly. "I've always believed that there's good in you, Dennis. Your dueltaining proves it. But until now, you've been trying to ignore it. Now you're finally being honest with yourself."
"... You're right..." Dennis muttered, but it was still audible to Yusho, Lulu, Yuto, Zuzu, and Celina. "I need to take responsibility... as a Lancer... and a friend..."
Yusho, Zuzu, and Lulu beamed brightly when Dennis made his promise, while Yuto and Celina simply smiled in happiness as Dennis' words proved that they could change Duel Academy and that they had gained another ally.
Celina then smacked Dennis in the back of the head, causing him to wince. "You're really a big doofus, ya know that? You were going to card yourself even though everyone was willing to give you another chance. And you call yourself a duelist?" To Dennis, Celina's blunt word were like a thousand imaginary arrows piercing him.
"That was just coldhearted, Celina. But you always took a duelist's pride seriously, even when we were kids."
"You've always had to get the last laugh even then, clown."
The two of them paused, soon after realizing what they had just said. The others were just as confused as they were when the reality of what they had just said sunk in.
"Even when we were kids...?" Dennis repeated what he said. "Even then...?" Celina asked herself.
Both Dennis and Celina were looking and pointing at each other as they asked the same question at the exact same time. "Did we hang out together when we were children?" They were surprised when the other asked the same thought.
"But I don't remember anything of the sort." Dennis said, confused at the reason of the synchrony of the question.
"Is Dennis the boy from your missing memories?" Yuto asked Celina, who shook her head.
"No. I'm almost certain it wasn't." Celina replied as she covered her eye with her hand, a disturbed reaction on her face.
"Wait, what are you two talking about?" Zuzu asked as she, Lulu, Dennis, and Yusho were confused by the exchange and felt out of the loop.
"We've got a lot to catch up on..." Yuto sighed with Celina at the explanation they would have to give.
Classroom - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
"Now class, pay attention. This will be on the final exam - aah!" The teacher stopped giving his lecture to his students and writing on the board when bright pink light lit up behind him. Turning around, he realized that someone had suddenly showed up on his desk. This surprised the classroom too.
"Is it multiple choice? Sure hope it is. I ace those! I always answer "C", as in "See you later"!"
Yugo then crashed through the door with his Duel Runner and rode into the hallway.
"Hey, you!" The teacher shouted after Yugo as some of his students looked out the doorway after the fleeing turbo duelist. "Ever think of taking Driver's Ed?!"
"Of course not! Never needed it!" Yugo shouted back in annoyance.
"Watch out! Coming though!" Yugo shouted to the people in the hallway, which consisted of mostly startled Duel Academy students wearing red blazers and one teacher, who watched him as he sped down the hallway and avoided them.
"But what I do need is a... geography lesson! Where am I?!"
Professor's Chamber - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
"Professor, unknown individuals have landed on the island!" The Doktor reported as he stood by Leo's throne at the side with Madame Chaos as she fanned herself.
"Very good. I expected as much, so no need to worry." Leo answered with a calm tone.
He then looked at a screen that displayed Yusho with a couple of the Lancers and You Show students. "But Yusho Sakaki and Declan, you and your friends have much to be worried about."
The Doktor just shuffled his deck and drew Fusion Parasite before smiling.
Offshore - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
"So here we are..." Yusho said as he looked ahead of him as he stood on the bow, with Declan by his side. "Duel Academy." Declan finished.
"Now, remember the new plan we made on the way here." Declan told the Lancers and You Show students as he and Yusho turned around to face them. They had all gathered to be briefed on the new plan to infiltrate Duel Academy.
"You Show Duel School students, you will split up into two teams. One team will go to the north, other will go to the south. Your job is to divert the attention of the majority of Duel Academy's forces. While that happens, the Lancers, Yusho, and I will infiltrate the west side, where we have confirmed that the shortest route to the Professor is actually there, while Alexis and Sylvio will go to the eastern side of the island and rescue Rin." (The Lancer group now included Zuzu, Sora, and Dennis.)
"You sure we can just let Sylvio and Alexis just go on in there by themselves?" Gong asked, unsure of them just sending the two of them to save Rin.
"The one guarding the East Tower is powerful, but I'm sure Alexis and Sylvio can take him. Besides, the way we're goin' in now is supposed to have a lot of strong duelists." For once, Dennis looked so serious. Sora even nodded in agreement with the Performage duelist, supporting Dennis.
Dennis then glanced at Sylvio "Also, I'm certain that Sylvio could take the guy who's supposed to be there now. Normally it's this guy named Apollo, but they changed it to someone else this morning. The guy may be powerful, but he's right up Sylvio's alley."
Dennis' comment, as much as anyone would expect, fed Sylvio's ego. The Abyss Actor duelist's nose grew long like Pinocchio, added with blushes on his cheeks and acted as if the spotlight was focused solely on him. Those who knew Sylvio's character well stared at Dennis with a look that said, "just what are you planning?", but Dennis just winked and gave a thumbs up with his tongue sticking out for an answer.
"Fufufu...! So, the great talents of Sylvio the Superstar are precisely needed for this task. So you have a good taste after all, Dennis." Sylvio said with his usual dramatic pose.
Alexis sweatdropped seeing Sylvio. "Why do I have a feeling I know who this guard is?"
Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
The group then dispersed into their teams, via the lifeboats. The group that was set to dock at the south side of the island stayed on the ship as it docked. Soon, Sylvio and Alexis were at the base of the stairs that lead to the top of the East Tower. The rest of the Lancers were at a base of a steep cliff. Looking at it, they waited for the signal.
A flare then went off from the northern side of the Academy.
"That's the signal!" Alexis while pointing to the flare.
"It's time to strike!" Declan yelled to the Lancers, who answered with a loud battle cry as they ran towards the massive cliff.
East Tower - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
When Sylvio and Alexis finally reached the top of the stairway, they came face-to-face with the Duel Academy duelist Dennis talked about.
His Duel Academy uniform consisted of a more regal variation on the standard Obelisk Blue uniform, complete with gold trimmings and ruffled pink collar, shoulders, upper chest, and sleeves. His blonde hair was sectioned in two layers, with the layer furthest from his face tightly bound in a ponytail, and he also wore crescent-shaped earrings.
Alexis recognized the man immediately. "Crowler!"
"That's Dr. Crowler, Alexis." Crowler corrected.
"Doctor? What, does he have a PhD in something?"
"He says it's in dueling. But I'm not so sure. Basically, he's the teacher who is in charge of handing out the Honor Student decks here."
"Yes, and I seem to recall that gave one to you, Alexis. Now, why did you decide to dropout from here when you were doing so well? We need people like you to complete our glorious mission."
"A mission I wish not to be a part of. Can't you see that what Duel Academy has turned into?!"
Crowler sighed in disappointment. "I guess I was holding the bar to high, trying to convince one of Professor Leo Akaba's Ten Most Wanted to come back to our side. So it falls to me to give you one final, hard lesson." Crowler then activated the violet blade on his blue, gold-trimmed Duel Disk with a gold screen border.
Alexis was about to activate hers, but Sylvio placed his arm in front of her, stopping her. "If you don't mind, I'll be taking this duel. No need to thank me, it's the least I can do."
"Hmph! Such overconfidence. Very well, I'll give you, the amateur, a personal lecture." Crowler declared as he shifted his attention to Sylvio.
"Who are you calling an amateur?! I'm the world's greatest dueltainer!"
Alexis just stared at the two of them with a deadpanned look. "I think I'm starting to get why Dennis said that Sylvio should duel him."
GENERATING ACTION FIELD: CROSSOVER
[Let's duel!]
"Now, since I'm the one giving the lecture, I'll be the one to go first." Crowler looked at his hand before playing one of the cards. "First I'll play... this spell card, Confiscation! By simply paying a measly 1000 life points, I can peek at your hand and send one of your cards to the graveyard!"
CROWLER LP: 4000 = 3000
"How dare you! I haven't even had a turn yet and you're using that?! Sounds to me that someone's cheating." Sylvio protested.
"Now, now. This is clearly in the rules, and I've already paid the cost for it... so show me your hand!"
Sylvio begrudgingly obeyed Crowler's demand. The pendulum monster cards he had in his hand were Abyss Actor - Superstar(ATK: 2500/DEF: 1800/LV: 7/PS: 3), Abyss Actor - Funky Comedian(ATK: 300/DEF: 200/LV: 1/PS: 8), Abyss Actor - Evil Heel(ATK: 3000/DEF: 2000/LV: 8/PS: 1), and Abyss Actor - Sassy Rookie(ATK: 1700/DEF: 1000/LV: 4/PS: 2). He also had only one spell card, Abyss Actors' Costume Chest.
"Now, if I remember correctly, Pendulum Summoning allows you to summon multiple monsters of various levels by using the Pendulum Scale. And to summon high-level monsters, the Pendulum Scale must also be high. So, I'll select your Scale 8 Abyss Actor - Funky Comedian!"
"Tch. Figures." Sylvio clicked his tongue as he was forced to discard Funky Comedian.
"Now I'll play Magnet Circle LV2 to summon an Ancient Gear(ATK: 100/DEF: 800/LV: 2)! But why stop at just one? Its special ability allows me to bring out another one!" Crowler summoned two copies of the Machine-Type monster in Defense Mode.
"Now, I'll tribute these two to bring out... Ancient Gear Golem(ATK: 3000/DEF: 3000/LV: 8)! Not too shabby, eh?
That oughta do for an intro. Now that you've been deprived of your precious Pendulum Summoning, you won't be able to summon a monster like your Superstar. And thanks to that quick peek I got at your hand, I know that you don't have a card yet that can stop my Golem. So give me your best shot." Crowler laughed arrogantly, knowing that Sylvio was in a predicament now.
"If there's one thing that's true, it's the fact that Sylvio the Superstar doesn't give up that easily." Sylvio drew a card to start his turn, hoping that it was the one he needed. Turning it over, a smile broke out across his face.
"And to prove it, I set the Pendulum Scale with Scale 1 Abyss Actor - Evil Heel and Abyss Actor - Curtain Raiser(ATK: 1100/DEF: 1000/LV: 4/PS: 7)! Now I can summon a medley of monsters between levels 2 and 6, at the same time! I Pendulum Summon... now you can truly meet one of my cast members you saw with that preview ! Monsters emerge! So tell me Teach, what do you think about the unpredictable Abyss Actor - Sassy Rookie?"
"I think you're dueling very well for an amateur. But, next time, try playing a monster that has more attack points than what's already out."
"That doesn't matter to me, because I have Abyss Actors' Costume Chest! Every time I open it up this chest, I can pull out a new prop for my Sassy Rookie. And first up is... my Hero's Sword!" A splendid sword flew out of the chest before it landed in the hand of Sassy Rookie. "It gives Sassy Rookie 300 additional attack points."
Abyss Actor - Sassy Rookie(ATK: 1700 = 2000/DEF: 1000/LV: 4/PS: 2)
"That measly move still didn't make it stronger than my Ancient Gear Golem."
Sylvio jumped to his left side and picked up an Action Card from the ground. "Now it is, thanks to the Action Spell High Dive, which raises his attack points by 1000!"
Abyss Actor - Sassy Rookie(ATK: 2000 = 3000/DEF: 1000/LV: 4/PS: 2)
"And now that they're evenly matched, Sassy Rookie can send your overweight scrapheap to the scrapheap! And there's no real loss for me, because thanks to his special ability, he will be the one left standing!" Sassy Rookie lunged at the Gear Golem, raising his sword and slashed the Machine-Type humanoid, but it blocked the attack with its fist. The two monsters then strained against one another, until Gear Golem cracked and exploded due to them having the same amount of attack points, while Sassy Rookie remained on the field.
Abyss Actor - Sassy Rookie(ATK: 3000 = 2000/DEF: 1000/LV: 4/PS: 2)
"Well, that was quite riveting." Crowler commented.
"Of course it was." Sylvio smugly said as he ended his turn. "Did you really think you could out-shimmer Sylvio the Superstar?"
"My boy, you shouldn't get so overconfident." Crowler critiqued as he drew a card. "I now activate Ancient Gear Salvage! Normally, by returning a level six or higher Ancient Gear monster from my graveyard back to my deck, I can draw two more cards. But because I'm returning my Ancient Gear Golem, I get three new cards." Crowler then promptly put his Golem back in his deck to draw three cards.
"Now with that little bit of reclamation done, I now summon Ancient Gear Soldier(ATK: 1300/DEF: 1300/LV: 4)! And equip it with Ancient Gear Tank! With this fancy weapon of his, my Ancient Gear Soldier gains a total of 600 points!" Ancient Gear Soldier got into the vehicle and rode it like a motorcycle with a cover and gun.
Ancient Gear Soldier(ATK: 1300 = 1900/DEF: 1300/LV: 4)
Crowler then grabbed a nearby Action Card. "And for your impertinence last turn, I'm activating this, Zero Penalty! Now your monster is as helpless as a lamb, because this Action Card lowers his attack points to zero!"
Abyss Actor - Sassy Rookie(ATK: 2000 = 0/DEF: 1000/LV: 4/PS: 2)
"And now my Soldier, go and run over that measly Lancer's life points! Rapid-Fire Flurry!" Ancient Gear Soldier floored its new bike and attacked Sassy Rookie.
Sylvio once again picked up an Action Card but was left surprised when he couldn't activate it.
"So sorry. But you should know that when you're dealing with the Ancient Gear monsters, all spell and trap cards are off-limits until the battle is over!"
Ancient Gear Soldier blasted Sassy Rookie using its vehicle's cannon, who could only avoid by running to the side as quick as he could. The blasts also wound up hitting Sylvio too.
SYLVIO LP: 4000 = 2100
"Are you okay?!" Alexis called out in concern.
"Just peachy." Sylvio groaned as he got back up.
"Now to place one card facedown to end my turn." Crowler said as he concluded his turn.
"Then it's my move! And once again, I'll rummage through my Abyss Actors' Costume Chest and give Sassy Rookie another prop for his performance. And it will be... my Goblin's Cloak!" Sylvio gave his Abyss Actor a small, ragged green hooded cloak.
"Now it's time for Act Two... as my Sassy Rookie attacks your Ancient Gear Soldier! And thanks to his cloak, he's able to pull a sneaky trick. You see, when he attacks, the attack points of our monsters are swapped!"
Ancient Gear Soldier(ATK: 1900 = 0/DEF: 1300/LV: 4)
Abyss Actor - Sassy Rookie(ATK: 0 = 1900/DEF: 1000/LV: 4/PS: 2)
Sassy Rookie lunged at the Ancient Gear Soldier as it tried to run him over with its vehicle, before the Abyss Actor jumped over it, outmaneuvering the machine. Rookie then brought his foot down and delivered a hard kick to the monster, causing it to blow up.
CROWLER LP: 3000 = 1100
"It's quite alright. And do you know why? Because when my Gear Tank is destroyed, you, my amateurish friend, lose 600 life points!"
Two shockwaves appeared over Sylvio, falling on him and causing him to kneel from the pain of the damage he took.
SYLVIO LP: 2100 = 1500
"So what? No matter what, I'll just destroy any of your monsters that you summon. And the only one that could possibly beat my Rookie is gone." Sylvio berated Crowler as he ended his turn.
Abyss Actor - Sassy Rookie(ATK: 1900 = 0/DEF: 1000/LV: 4/PS: 2)
Crowler just softly giggled. "Oh, dear boy, don't be so sure." Crowler drew a card and grinned. "I activate Pot of Greed! Now I can draw two new cards!" After Crowler drew his new cards, his grin became wider.
"I activate Ancient Gear Trade! I banish my Soldier, so Ancient Gear Golem is once again back in my hand! Then I play this! Unfinished Ancient Gear! This allows me to summon two copies of my Ancient Gear Golem from my deck in Defense Mode by cutting their attack and defense points in half!"
Ancient Gear Golem(ATK: 3000 = 1500/DEF: 3000 = 1500/LV: 8)

"And now for the final step! I use Polymerization to fuse my three of my Golems into one! Now behold, as I unite all the wisdom and power of past ages into the ultimate behemoth! I Fusion Summon! Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem(ATK: 4400/DEF: 3400/LV: 10)!"
"This is not good..." Alexis muttered to herself.
Crowler then picked up an Action Card nearby him. "And for just a touch of irony, I'll activate this Action Card. Quick Guard! It switches your monster from offense to defense!" Sassy Rookie was forced into Defense Mode.
"Just so you know, my monster can still deal you damage, even if your monster is in Defense Mode! Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem, flatten Abyss Actor - Sassy Rookie! And eliminate the last of this amateurish Lancer's life points!"
Sylvio was panicking. There was nothing he could do. Thanks to Crowler's Ancient Gear monster, he wasn't able to use any Action Cards to stop the attack or even limit the damage.
Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem raised its left fist and smashed Sassy Rookie with it as the Abyss Actor covered himself with his cloak to try and protect himself. The fusion monster easily smashed the pendulum monster, causing a huge explosion that filled Sylvio's side of the field with thick smoke.
Hallway - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
Meanwhile, the group of Lancers that had entered from the west side were now walking down the labyrinth-like hallways of Duel Academy.
"Now stay close. You don't want to get lost in here." Sora told the group.
"I can understand." Zuzu warily agreed. "This place is massive. People could get lost in here if they're not careful." "Can't deny that." Celina remarked as they neared an intersection of hallways. "I think I got lost in these halls a few times myself when I first arrived here."
"Hold up!"
Hearing the footsteps, Kite and Shay then tackled the guy that ran at them from behind the corner. Kite held the guy down while Shay held the guy's left arm upwards.
"I said hold up, not hold me down!"
"Yugo?!" Realizing it was Yugo, Shay and Kite quickly got off of him.
"What's your problem?" Yugo asked them as he got up and rubbed his left arm. "I'm on your side!"
Zuzu and the others were relieved that Yugo didn't get teleported to another dimension like they initially believed (since it seemed to be the most frequent probability) but instead got transported right to Duel Academy. Remembering that fact, Zuzu quickly turned to Yuto who was behind them with Iggy, Lulu, Dennis, and Celina.
"Yuto! Stop for a bit!" Zuzu told the Phantom Knights duelist, not wanting her bracelet to teleport either of the two boys again. Yuto, understanding what she was trying to ask, stayed in his spot with the rest.
"Where is here anyway?" Yugo looked around in confusion. Then he noticed Dennis. "And why's he with you?!"
"To answer your first question: Duel Academy." Zuzu revealed.
That got Yugo's attention. "You just didn't say Duel Academy, did you?!"
"I did. As for your second question, Dennis is now on our side for real. And we also know where your dear friend Rin is." Zuzu explained.
"What?!" Yugo then grabbed Zuzu by her shoulders, demanding for Rin's location. "Tell me where she is right now!"
"Calm down, Yugo! They've got her locked up in the East Tower somewhere. Sylvio and Alexis already went to save her!"
"Why didn't you say so in the first place?!" Yugo then ran behind the corner and got on his Runner and sped off.
Jack sighed. "Oh goodie. Now we got him running about in enemy territory. Guess I gotta be the one to make sure he's safe." With that, Jack took off in his Runner after Yugo.
"Jack! Hold up!" Crow called out, but it was too late. Both of the turbo duelists were gone.
"There's no need to worry about them." Declan said as he fixed his glasses as usual. "Duelists of their caliber won't fall so easily."
East Tower - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
Alexis could only look on in horror at the thick cloud of smoke that engulfed Sylvio's side of the field. "Sylvio!" Alexis called out, horrified and afraid that he might have been defeated.
Crowler broke into a fit of laughter at the cloud. "Hahahaha! How did you like being schooled by Vellian Crowler, one of the greatest teachers in the history of Duel Academy?! You can tell me how it feels as I turn you into a card!"
When the smoke finally dispersed, Crowler and Alexis were surprised to see that a smug Sylvio was still standing and not lying on the ground in defeat. Even more surprising, his life points were unchanged and Sassy Rookie was still on the field.
"Better think again, Doc!"
"But how?!"
"Heh. You may have gotten a look at my hand the first turn. But on my last draw, I drew something that really saved my bacon. It was Abyss Actor - Wily Wizard(ATK: 500/DEF: 1400/LV: 3/PS: 2). By simply discarding it from my hand, I zeroed out the damage I was supposed to take." Sylvio wore a smug grin as he explained his action. As he did so, the specter of an Abyss Actor that resembled an impish magician that had a long black cape with a hooded collar, a black hat with the Abyss Actor emblem on it, and white masquerade mask that covered half of its face hovered over him, covering him with its cape. (The monster resembled a goblin dressed like the Phantom of the Opera.)
"Ha! You were lucky. But luck doesn't last, and neither will you when my next turn comes. So I'll just end my turn." Crowler sneered.
"It's my turn!" Sylvio was hesitant to look at the card that he just drew. "If it's not the card I need, I'm a goner!"
Steeling his resolve, Sylvio finally looked at the card. Luckily for him, it was just the card he Actor - Wild Hope(ATK: 1600/DEF: 1200/LV: 4/PS: 2). "Yes!"
"First, I think I'll do a little Pendulum Summon! Coming onstage is one whose quite a blast from the old west, let's hear it for Abyss Actor - Wild Hope!

Crowler just gave Sylvio a condescending look. "But you seem to have forgotten that your Wild Hope doesn't have enough to match my monster, even though you've done that. If that really was your best shot, I am sorely disappointed."
"You won't be, because I'm reaching into my Costume Chest to grab another prop for my cowboy. And that is... Abyss Costume - Hoodlum's Musket!" A western-style rifle blaster with the Abyss Actor emblem came out of the chest and landed in the hands of Abyss Actor - Wild Hope after he holstered his usual blaster away on his belt, spinning it as he did so.
"Now, I can select an Abyss Actor in my Pendulum Zone and give its attack points to my Wild Hope until the end of the turn. And I choose my Abyss Actor - Evil Heel!"

Crowler was unnerved to know his monster was now outmatched. "I'll admit, I didn't see that one coming. But the duel's not over yet. Even if you destroy my Gear Golem, I'll still have life points so I can crush you next turn."
Sylvio smirked, undeterred. "That's why I'm betting everything to come out on top for me, Lancer-style! Abyss Actor - Wild Hope, why don't you show Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem how you do things?" Wild Hope then started to do a walkdown with Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem, as if they planned to do a western showdown shootout to settle the matter.
At the same time they were doing that, Sylvio retrieved another Action Card from a nearby board. "I now play... the same Action Spell you used against me, Zero Penalty! Now it's your Ultimate Golem's attack points that are lowered to nil!"

"What?!" Crowler exclaimed in shock.
"Told ya I would win, Lancer-style!" Sylvio pointed to Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem. "I think it's time to make a student out of the instructor. Wild Hope, destroy Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem!"
The monsters then turned around and Wild Hope blasted Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem with a round of rapid blasts from his rifle like it was nothing, causing it to explode before it could even act. A few of the blasts also hit Crowler, who got sent spiraling to the ground from the blasts and explosion, which knocked him unconscious.

"Hah!" Sylvio flicked his hair back as he wore a smug victory smile as the Action Field disappeared. "That's what you get for seeing the world's greatest dueltainer short!"
Alexis smiled softly at Sylvio. "He may have an ego that's bigger than his head, but he is reliable when needed."
"Alrighty! Let's now go save Rin and get on outta here!"
Professor's Chamber - Duel Academy - Fusion Dimension
The Doktor watched on a floating monitor as Sylvio and Alexis ran into the cell where Rin was being held. On another monitor, they saw Jack and Yugo riding at top speed through the hallways.
He then pulled up a monitor that displayed Rin's cell. He saw that she was simply sitting on the side of the bed, waiting. She also had her head down for some reason, and her eyes were overshadowed.
He then held up Fusion Parasite to the screen, smiling wide. As he did so, Rin's overshadowed face morphed into a sinister grin. In one of the ceiling corners of her cell, a spider was approaching its latest victim in its web, a butterfly.

Ancient Gear Salvage(Normal Spell): If do you have a level 6 or higher Ancient Gear monster in your graveyard, you can return that card to your deck to draw two cards. If it was Ancient Gear Golem, draw three.
Abyss Costume - Goblin's Cloak(Equip Spell): When the equipped monster attacks, switch the attack points of it and the monster it's battling until the end of the battle.
Abyss Costume - Hoodlum's Musket(Equip Spell): Select one Abyss Actor in your Pendulum Zone. The monster equipped with this spell card gains the attack points of the selected monster until the end of the turn.
Official Cards I Modified:
Unfinished Ancient Gear(Normal Trap): Summon two Ancient Gear monsters on your deck with the same name to your field in Defense Mode, but half their attack points and defense points.
The same thing for Odd-Eyes Elf a few chapters ago was done for Abyss Actor - Wily Wizard: I made up the stats for the card since Frost190 never made them up. And as a bonus, I made up how the monster looks. You might see more of that later in the fanfic, because I've noticed that Frost190 never put the descriptions of some of their own OC monsters down.
Since Sylvio never used Evil Heel's Pendulum Ability in the anime, I thought that the loss of attack points related to the original attack points of the monster that was sent back to the Extra Deck, like it's OCG/TCG version, so correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, the spider in Rin's cell is colored and marked like Jirai Gumo.
