"Watson..."

"Holmes? Holmes are you there?"

"Watson..."

"Holmes... wake up... Holmes! HOLMES!!!"

When my eyes opened I could see dimly lit tunnel. I felt that I was being dragged. I looked to my left to see who was carrying me and to my surprise it was Helsing.

"Helsing..." I muttered, gaining his attention.

"We're almost there." whispered Helsing "Just rest."

I felt a little drowsy, possibly after being injected. I felt of the left side of my neck, but I could feel no mark. It was as if I hadn't been injected.

"It was all fake." whispered Helsing again "None of what you saw earlier, or what you thought you saw actually happened."

"Not... real...?" I murmured "Then why..."

"I will explain later. For now try to rest." demanded Helsing.

And so I did.

When I awoke again I saw myself in another dimly room resembling the tunnel Helsing carried me through. I could feel a soft cloth laying underneath my back. I could also feel a warm, wet cloth over my brow.

"W-Where am I?" I shivered, barely able to get the words out from the damp, cool room.

"Here put this over you."

A young woman soon came into my view, placing a warm wool quilt over me. Her clothing was fur and her hair was messy and unkempt. But her face, it seemed familiar. That's when I realized that it was none other than...

"Mina... Harker?" I whispered, staring into the woman's calming blue eyes.

"How..." she gasped, placing her index finger over her bottom lip "How did you know who I am?"

"Dracula told him." spoke Helsing, standing near a table, picking up weapons such as crossbows and blades and laying them back down again.

"Who?" I uttered, a bit confused.

"You know him better as Alucard." said Helsing turning towards me after laying down a wooden stake.

"So..." I started, tearing my gaze from the stake "I take it you've battled the demons in the house before."

"We have." answered Helsing "Mainly Dracula's... harem. Dracula himself, now he's the tricky one."

"You should try to get some sleep Mr. Holmes." said Mina, kindly, yet somehow I felt as if she was warning me of something.

As I lay there with my eyes closed tight, half asleep, half awake, I kept wondering whether or not I should trust them. What if it was one of Alucard's tricks again? But I felt a sudden peace when looking into Mina's eyes. A peace that I never saw in the other two women.

After around five hours of sleep I was shaken awake by Helsing, who ordered for me to follow him back to the castle, which we seemed to be underneath of. Helsing ordered for me to go back upstairs to search the room I was previously in, where I saw the parchment and look it over while he heads in the direction he supposedly knows where Watson is being held.

"I'll walk all the up." said Helsing "I'm sure your partner may be there."

Without taking a pause Helsing and I marched upstairs with lanterns in hand, that came from Helsing's belt. I went towards the room I was ordered to go to as Helsing continued upwards. In the library I could notice small red eyes staring at me from the ceiling. The screech of a bat rang through my ears as it flew in my direction and out of the door. I continued on until I found the room with the parchment. I studied the parchment carefully, but found no clue as to what Dracula had planned for me, or why he even wanted me in the first place. As I read I was startled once again, this time by Mina.

"Holmes, come quick." she gasped, grabbing the palm of my hand.

We ran down the winding stairs and into the main hall. Before leaving out of the door I pulled away and looked her in the eyes.

"What about Watson? And Helsing?" I asked

She looked down at the floor. Tears began to flow. She looked back at me.

"They are dead." she said shakily.

As she opened the door I kept thinking to myself. How could this happen? Why has this happened? For what purpose? Was any of it real? There was only but one way to know. I clutched the stake in my right hand, jamming through her heart as she looked at me in shock. Her face turned into another's and she fell outside the opened door, bleeding, with rain beating down upon her lifeless body. I turned around facing the door in the end of the long hallway. I walked through, passing the armor lined against the walls and grabbing a steel sword along the way. I have had enough of Dracula's games. It's time I ended once and for all.
