Time passed as Aang continued to trust that Katara would understand he was trying his best to preserve the knowledge of his people as well as their culture.

The fact that the main group he was always with happened to be a group of girls did not really trigger any warning signs in his head. Nor did the girls either as they might have started out as Aang fangirls but developed into serious students of his that were taking their lesson quite seriously.

The one taking this most seriously out of them all is Yee-Li who has almost always been seen by Aang's side recently. Neither Aang nor she doing anything other than working tirelessly to make sure that all their plans work out as much as possible.

During the war, Aang was the only known Air Nomad and airbender as well. With him being the avatar on top of all this it seems like it prevented anyone that would seriously try to take advantage of him. Sure there was a time that people tried to do so however it was not because of his natural bending style but instead the overall power of the Avatar.

With the knowledge that airbenders were no longer all members of his people. That they were mostly scattered across the world thinking of themselves as non bender through the remaining three nations.

Plots to take advantage of them were possible to happen as airbending could be various dangerous forms of bending in the wrong hands.

The way of airbending being a more defensive form that was not too offensive was merely a reflect of how the Air Nomads used it. All one would have to do is look to have previous non Air Nomad Avatars have used airbending in a manner that could be far more offensive and even deadly.

They were for example lucky that only two known bloodbenders existed in the world. That one was locked up and the other was Katara. Sure bloodbending can be deadly but in the right hands, it could save lives rather than endanger them.

Aang was working to ensure that he got in front as much of everything that would be dealing with airbending before announcing his discovery.

Having trust in Katara was something Aang had a lot of experience in. She might not have done anything to this level that he was attempting but he was sure she would understand his reasoning once he was able to fully explain himself.

She had become busy as well helping Zuko with several things. The two of them always seem to be doing something or being drawn to one another to carry out something.

Hama getting loose and worse of all on the full moon. Let Katara and Zuko have another what Toph would call life changing trip with Zuko. During their yearly meetings.

Strangely enough, those were the only time anyone from their group would ever see Toph. Claiming once that she wanted to spread around metalbending though that did not seem to be the case as she never started a school at least not one of her own.

Though when it came to troubles of his own there was some group that caused the slow down of his reveal to the world about airbenders being scattered across the world as members of the remaining nations.

Using his connection in the White Lotus through Bumi and Iroh. They were able to keep this group from learning too much however while slowed his efforts down in some aspects it merely sped them up in others.

The creation of the Air Acolytes was the result of this as they serve to help spread Air Nomad culture and knowledge around but at the same time were being used to discover those that were not aware they were airbenders too.

Fire Nation's war against the world might have been stopped but that did not mean they had achieved world peace by any means. They had just stopped a war that had been dragging on for far too long is all.

The new issue kept popping up and Aang and Katara barely had enough time for each recently. Though Aang would find the time when he was not dealing with the newly dubbed Air Acolytes or other Avatar related issues.

Katara was spending a lot of time in the Fire Nation helping Zuko with many things over the years. These issues were taking years to deal with mostly thanks to that group that was hidden in the shadows.

That and the fact that no one really knows what Toph does or where she even is other than the yearly meeting that we all have. Being able to do what she wanted was just how Toph wanted to be so he did not privy too hard to her business.

After all, he was keeping things from the rest of his friends but even if it was taking longer than he originally planned it work itself out in the end. Having trust in his friends he would not keep anything major from them unless there was a really good reason for it.

It was during their third year meeting after they had ended the war with the Fire Nation that he had finally managed to complete everything he could and was about to reveal to the general public about the coming return of the airbenders. Aang would no longer be known as Aang the last airbender anymore but Aang the last Air Nomad.

But first with things finally done he wanted to explain things to Katara not that he was able to do so. Before he did not as they all had a lot on their plate and he was not trying to add any more to hers.

"Aang there's something I've been meaning to talk to you about," Katara told him.

Pulling him aside so that they were drawing that much attention from anyone aside from possibly Toph. Who was always focused on Aang during these meetings? So she would hear everything regardless but never be privy to his business on purpose.

When asked she would never explain why nor would Aang even get mad that she was doing this with him at all.

"Anyway the two of us have been so busy since the war ended and well I have been in the Fire Nation even more recently as well," Katara said

"Zuko and Mai got together and then broke up I think for the final time recently. Must be tough for Zuko and you are the only one of us that been sticking around him lately" Aang said

"About that Aang. I think we should break up as it seems things between us have been over for a long time now" she said.

Aang stared at her like deer dog caught up in a strong light source at the bombshell that Katara had just dropped on him
