It's Party Time!
They continued to hold each other tight while the last of the melody finished, swaying in each other's arms as their guest looked on, feeling the depth of their love for each other. Any doubts that they were meant to be together, vanished from the hearts and minds of all that witnessed their love in action.
Separating only enough to look around and see the hundreds of eyes upon them, Angela whispered, "I almost forgot we weren't alone," as she caught sight of their guest circling around them, women with tears in their eyes, clutching to their partners arm or each other's.
"That was soooo beautiful," Mrs. Rossini gushed, running up to them and thrown her arms violently around them, tears streaming down her face once again. "You make me so proud," she pinched his cheek again.
"Woman would you leave his cheeks alone," Mona dragged her off of them, "You're going to cause an earthquake in Connecticut with all that stampeding," she laughed.
"Oh Mona, they're just so perfect, aren't they perfect?" She marveled.
"Yes, yes, they are perfect, now sit your behind down and let them be!" Mona chastised gingerly.
Tony and Angela couldn't help but giggle at the banter between the two women, "You'd think they were related," Angela kidded.
"They might as well be," Tony returned with a deep chuckle, shaking his head in disbelief.
"Rama Lam- Ding Dong, Rama Lam- Ding Dong," an upbeat harmony began behind the couple.
"Tony, Angela," Jimbo called out, "Time for an encore!" He waved them up to the mic.
"Rama Lam – Ding Ding Dong, Rama Lama Lama Lama Lama Ding Dong," the Dreamtones continued as Tony and Angela eyes darted between each other and the quartet, "Rama Lama Lama Lama Diiiiinnnngggg."
"Come on," Bennie pressed, "It's all of us or none of us."
Tony's face lit up and he grabbed Angela's hand, "Let's go." He motioned with enthusiasm towards the mic.
"No Tony, I can't, not in front of all these people," she whispered, her cheeks burning in embarrassment. "I have clients here." A mortified look on her face.
"Yes, you can," he kissed her cheek, "Come on, sing with me!"
Hesitantly, she stepped forward, "I've gotcha," Tony reassured. "Maybe you'll be the star of their next campaign," he winked.
The guests erupted in applause, "An-ge-la, An-ge-la," they cheered.
Taking to the mic, Tony, The Dreamtones and Angela reprised their Pitkin High fundraiser, "Rama Lama Ding Dong" performance to a roar of applause and whistles.
Turning their wedding reception into an unconventional concert, Tony and The Dreamtones continued their performance with a fun rendition of "Who Wrote the Book of Love" before Tony turned his attention back to his bride and requested her presence once again.
"Okay boys, now time for me to have a duet with my favorite partner," he beamed.
"But Tony, we've got another one," Satch protested.
"I know and thank you guys for being here, but I've got one I want to do with my bride- now get, get," he jokingly gestured for them to leave to the dance floor.
"Okay, okay but only cause it's your wedding," Satch returned smiling, waving his hand dismissably
"Angela," Tony extended his arm to take her hand.
"Now what?" She questioned.
"I Finally Found Someone." He smiled.
"Awwwww," their guests all gushed.
The pianist began the medley as Angela took Tony's hand and circled into his arm.
"Hummmmm uhhhhhuuummmmm," Angela hummed.
Tony leaned in-
"I finally found someone, that knocks me off my feet
I finally found the one, that makes me feel complete"
She smiled-
"We started over coffee, we started out as friends
It's funny how from simple things, the best things begin"
They locked eyes-
"This time it's different," he exclaimed
She dahed-
Dah dah dah dah
"It's all because of you," he continued
Dah dah dah dah
"It's better than it's ever been" he smiled
'Cause we can talk it through" they sang together.
Angela took to the mic-
"Oohh, my favorite line…. was "If your Angela Bower, I'm here to help you"- she laughed, changing the line he was expecting.
"It's all you had to say"- she continued giggling as they joined together-
"To take my breath away
This is it, oh, I finally found someone
Someone to share my life
I finally found the one, to be with every night"- Tony winked with a suggestive grin.
Angela continued to sing, "'Cause whatever I do,"
"It's just got to be you-" Tony interjected. "My life has just begun, I finally found someone,"
"Ooh, someone," she sang.
"I finally found someone," he repeated.
"Oooohhh" she serenaded.
"Did I keep you waiting,"- he laughed
"I didn't mind," she replied, "Well maybe a little," she added with a smirk.
"I apologize," he pouched his lips.
"Baby, that's fine," she caressed his cheek
"I would wait forever," He took her hand and kissed it.
"Just to know you were mine," they sang together, holding each other's eye.
"You know I love your hair," he stroked the fallen pieces of her partial updo.
"Are you sure it looks right?" She looked herself up and down.
"I love what you wear," he smiled broadly.
"Isn't it too tight?" She questioned innocently.
"Hell no! You're exceptional," he winked devilishly.
"I can't wait for the rest of my life..." they joined their lips softly, muttering the words together.
"This is it, oh, I finally found someone
Someone to share my life
I finally found the one, to be with every night" they harmonized.
'Cause whatever I do," Angela placed her hand on his cheek, rubbing it softly with her thumb
"It's just got to be you," he placed his hand over hers, brining it to his lips, kissing it softly, "
"My life has just begun, I finally found someone,"
"Whatever I do," a tear escaped her eye.
"It's just got to be you," he wiped her cheek.
"My life has just begun," their lips joined, "I finally found someone..." they wrapped their arms around each other, holding on to one another as they were once again, overcome with emotions.
Standing in the middle of the dance floor, they tried to recompose themselves as the room went into a frenzy of sighs and cheers, sobs and laughter, applause, and whistles.
Noting that her parents had reached their emotional peek, Samantha jumped into action hoping to balance the temperature in the room, "Let's give them one more round of applause guys," she enthusiastically took to the mic, "Aren't they cute or what?" She teased.
"Or what," Eddie hollered from the back of room with a chuckle, "Get a room," he continued playfully.
"Why I oughta," Tony threatened humorously balling his fist.
"There's no question who the Italians are in this room," Sam joked.
"Viva Italia," Aunt Rosa threw her arm up into the air.
"Viva Italia," all of Tony's family and friends hailed.
"On that noted," Sam chimed in, "It's cake time!" She proclaimed. "Would you all join us please for the cake cutting."
A beautiful five-layered cake with cascading pink and white roses and gold "Brand New Life" cake topper was wheeled in and set to the left of the dance floor. The couple and their wedding party made their way towards the cake, encircling it with the bride and groom facing the dance floor and all their guest.
"Before we cut the cake," Tony handed Angela the sterling silver knife, "I'd just like to thank everyone for being here and celebrating this amazing day with Angela and I." He took a deep breath, "We know it's been a long journey to get here today,"
"You got that right bub," Mona chimed in.
"But," he narrowed his eyes on her, "I wouldn't change one thing about it because these have been the happiest years of my life and now, I get to spend the rest of my life with love of my life," he leaned over and delicately kissed his bride. "I love you Angela, thank you for making me the luckiest man in this world."
"I love you," she turned to meet her smiling lips to his.
"Shall we?" He motioned to the cake, placing his hand firmly over hers as they lowered the knife into the center layer of the cake while Frank Sinatra's L.O.V.E played in the background.
Each taking a small piece of the cake between their fingers for the classic cake feeding tradition, Tony and Angela gazed lovingly at one another as they teased each other with their respective pieces-
"Don't you dare," Angela murmured as Tony raised a devilish eye to her.
"I would never," he returned, slowly placing the cake to her lips.
Opening her mouth to accept the cake between her lips, Tony gently pushed the sweet pastry into her mouth, her lips closing around his fingers, her tongue softly brushing his skin as she licked the icing from his fingers, their eyes locked upon each other, the heat rising on their cheeks.
"Ahumm," Tony cleared his throat with a hard swallow. He took a keep breath as Angela brought her piece up to his mouth, a seductive grin on her lips, he accepted the cake as their eyes communicated their familiar lustful language. No words were needed between them to know what the other was feeling, forgetting momentarily that they were surrounded by three-hundred sets of eyes infringing on their unintentional, intimate exchange.
Leaning into her as if to place a kiss upon her cheek, he brushed his lips against her ear and whispered, "Can we finished his cake in bed tonight?"
Her breath caught as her face turned crimson at the thought of his suggestion, "I think we can make some arrangements," she returned seductively.
Their exchange and sexually charged cake sharing didn't go unnoticed to Mona who quickly made her way to the couple, "Unless you two intend to invite three hundred people on your honeymoon, I would suggest you lower the temperature in your orbit and remember where you're at," she whispered, followed with an approving wink.
Clearing his throat once again, grateful for Mona's keen intuition, Tony grabbed the champagne glass and turned towards their guests once again, "And now a toast, to my lovely bride," he handed her a flute. Wrapping their arms around each other's, Tony toasted, "To us and a lifetime of happily ever after, Salute."
"Salute," echoed throughout the room.
"Salute," Angela repeated as the crystal met their lips, their eyes once again firmly locked on each other.
"It's party time!" Mona declared. "Hit it boys," she pointed to the band.
The room came to life as cake was served, guest took to the dance floor and champagne flowed freely from glass to glass.
A wonderful mix of current dance songs and old love songs filled the room. Sinatra, Madonna, U2, Air Supply, The Temptations, old school, new school, classic rock, country, pop and more made up the soundtrack of what would become the wedding of the year. Guests danced, laughed, sang karaoke style, exchanged stories, recipes, and phone numbers. New friends were made, old ones reacquainted, and budding romances bloomed as Brooklyn met Connecticut and boisterous Italians met Anglo-Saxon WASPS. Two different worlds collided into one amazing night of love, laughter, and friendship.
Mona caught the bouquet, Al caught the garter, and Tony and Angela caught the fever to finally be alone. Briefly escaping to the privacy of the hallway, their arms wrapped around each other, their lips pressed firmly against the others, their mouths engulfing one another until they both had to come up for air, "Tony, I think it's time we make like two love birds and fly away. I want to become Mrs. Anthony Micelli in every sense of the word, right now!" She panted breathless.
Sweeping her off her feet, Tony lifted her into his arms, "Your wish is my command," he smirked, "After all, you're the boss!" He pressed his lips to hers, walking them out to the jag, leaving their reception and guest to continue the party without them.
*** A/N- Thank you all again for your continued support and love of this story. I'm literally living every scene in my mind and wishing we could bring this all to life LOL. I apologize for the number of songs being interjected into this story, but these songs tell a story of their love to me and I believe that music expresses emotions that words can't define and these songs define them so beautifully. If anyone want to listen to "I Finally Found Someone," it's Barbra Streisand and Bryan Adams and I thought it worked so cute for them to sing to each other in a loving and playful way but that would still carry so much weight of their emotions. I hope you felt it and enjoyed it. Thank you again…..it's honeymoon time!
