The Time Lord does not use the fast return switch, but the TARDIS does go back to where she was before. Stepping out of the box, Sophie finds herself in a large, empty warehouse. She raises an eyebrow, but steps aside to let the Doctor and Jamie lead the way. They strut through the warehouse as if they own the building. She rolls her eyes and follows them out into the streets of a town. The sun is streaming through a cluster of trees, and the streets around them are scarce, a few cars lined up along the curb. The Doctor and Jamie continue down the street, not paying any heed to Sophie, as she struggles to keep up with their quick strides. They turn down a small alley, and into another building. Inside, there is a group of people, all cowering in the corner behind a stack of crates.

The Doctor turns to look at Sophie, and presses a finger to his lips. She nods in understanding. He approaches the group of people, and smiles cordially at them. The man at the front of the group, who is holding a baseball bat, physically relaxes. "Doctor," he hisses, "What happened?"

"Ah, well, yes, yes, that is a very good question. You see, Jamie was taken by the beast, but it's alright. And I've brought a friend."

"Great," the man rolls his eyes, "Just another mouth to feed."

Sophie waves, "Nice to meet you too." She then leans over toward Jamie, "What exactly is this creature?"

"Oh, aye. It's large, and hairy."

She nods, and moves back to where she was standing before.

The Doctor rubs his hands together, and begins to pace, "I have an idea of how to stop this beast, but I'll need some supplies."

"And let me guess, you can't get any of it from the TARDIS," Sophie sighs. "Where are Jamie and I going?"

"Hey, wait a minute. I didn't agree to go anywhere," Jamie states, and yet starts to button his vest.

The Doctor reaches into one of the endless pockets of his jacket, handing her a piece of paper. She flips it open, and scans the list, "Wow, this is actually legible," she smirks at the Time Lord.

The Gallifreyan pouts subtly, as Sophie turns for the kilted Scotsman. Jamie heads for the doors of the warehouse. Sophie opens the doors enough for the two to exit, the doors slamming shut behind them. The duo glance at each other, and start off down the abandoned streets. Sophie flips the list back open, and scans it once again, "Looks like we're headed to the hardware store. You know where that is?"

Jamie looks around the streets, seeming a bit lost, "Uh, not exactly. But I'm sure we can find it. Come on." He starts off down the road, and Sophie rolls her eyes, following the Scotsman. They walk for a while, until a shop with a large hammer and screwdriver on the hoarding appears. "There," she says, pointing at the shop.

Jamie nods, and rushes for the door. He tries to pull it open, but the doors are clearly locked. He keeps pulling on the door, until Sophie pushes him aside, pulling her sonic out of her back pocket. Pointing it at the doors, the lock clicks. Jamie grabs her hand, and the duo starts into the shop. "So, what all do we need to get?" he asks, glancing at Sophie.

She smirks at him, "Well, the Doctor gave us a doozy of a list. We need a 19mm metal pipe. Some bearings, nuts, and bolts. He's got a few different fittings on here, and a couple different lightbulbs. And finally some polyvinyl acetate."

Jamie looks around the store, "Poly-what?"

She rolls her eyes, "Why don't you go and get the piping and the fittings? I'll go find the other things."

He nods, and rushes toward the back of the shop, and Sophie goes down the nearest aisle. She grabs an abandoned trolley, and starts to amass the items the Doctor has on the list. As she works her way down, she gets stuck at polyvinyl acetate, "What the b**dy h*ll is this stuff, Doc?" she mutters, and pulls out her phone. She quickly googles what exactly the compound is, and grabs the nearest bottle of wood glue, dropping it into the trolley as well. She heads back the front of the store, and finds Jamie standing there, a piece of pipe and small metal fittings clasped in his arms.

"I think I've got it," he says, and dumps his load into the trolley. "Is that everything on the list?"

"Uh, mostly. We just need a grocery to get the last few items."

"Aye. Think we can take that with us?" he gestures to the trolley.

She shrugs, "I don't see why not. Come on." She sonics the sensors at the doors so they don't go off, and the duo exit the store.

They stop at the nearest grocer's and grab the last few things off the list, mostly food stuffs, although they get a few different kinds of pharmacy products as well.

Sophie pulls out the list one last time, and scans down it. "That's everything. Let's get back to the others before the beast figures out where we're hiding."

"Oh, aye," the Scotsman agrees, and picks Sophie up. He deposits her in the trolley, and grins largely. She protests, but is laughing all the while. Jamie grasps the handle, and takes off at a sprint, pushing the trolley in the direction of the warehouse.
