A Day Before at the Human Appreciation Society meeting…

Gus Porter presented his goods of human relics, mostly garbage to humans.

A potato chip bag, a helmet, crumpled papers, toys broken, things that the human realm will not miss but witches find fascinating. Gus certainly did as he pointed out every item he had collected and what he believed these items were and their use. It's not really his fault for his inaccuracies since he has never really been to the human realm before. Only a select few were granted that privilege. It was Gus's dream to be able to become one of these Elite to finally see the Human World and witness its mysteries, maybe even be an ambassador for two worlds. It was Gus's dream, maybe one day it will come true.

But until then, he can settle on being president of this fine club.

"Fellow club members, I present to you… the paper-clorp. An instrument that mimics the waves of the human world." Gus presented as he began to flick it, making a strange sound, "A thing of beauty~."

Yep, Gus was pretty much an expert on Human possessions and things of that world. But then the world stopped singing to his tune.

The cause was a troublemaker by the name of Mattholomule, crossed-armed, and judging.

"How do we know that these things are really from the human realm? For all we know, these could be fake."

Mattholomule and the others then began to touch the items as Gus needed to figure out how to fix things.

But who could confirm these items?

Only another human could-.

That's it!

Luz!

She could!

At the Owl House the next day…

"Gus, I really like to help but I'm banned from Hexside," Luz explained as she pointed to the poster, seemingly down by that fact.

"Bah, Bump did you a favor! That place tears the individuality out of you and makes you a drone." Eda warned as she didn't want to see Luz be crushed like she was, "Besides, don't you like the trash haul we get?"

"Well, I wish I can still be given the option…" Luz sighed as she felt, "I want to learn more about this world, I want to discover magic with other people, I want to see what I could be!"

"Kid, I am giving you an education. I'm helping you stay clear of a school that will tear you down. That's what they do! Those dweebus in that school don't know what they're in for. No offense, Dweebus." Eda advised.

"None taken."

"It doesn't matter anyway. I'm banned. There's nothing I could do about it." She sighed.

Gus then came up with a scheme.

"Uh… That's what I've been wanting to tell you. They left the ban." He lied, though he did not feel good about it.

"Really? I can go?" Luz squealed with excitement.

"Yep."

Eda knew a lie when she smelled one, but she kept her mouth shut.

Inside the school…

The guards were rounding up the bad students to be taken to Detention, where they would be placed in suspended animation until their parents arrived and informed.

That was when it smelled her. Gus quickly got her out of the way.

"Smelled like trouble… and royal blood…" One of them muttered.

"Yes, a member of the royal family is here. There is no doubt one is here." The other muttered as well.

"Direct of his blood… there is a member with his blood…"

"Yes, we must speak with the Avian Advisor."

They slithered away to find the Palisman Swan.

Outside the School…

Parfait was surprised Luz snuck her way back into the school, or more precisely her friend lied about her being welcomed back.

She then spotted the two guards.

"What are you two doing outside? You should be inside doing your jobs." She scolded.

"Forgive us… but smelt royal blood… his blood."

She growled but knew since they were loyal, they would not breathe a word of this. They may need to hasten the coronation soon.

"Speak of this to no one. Make sure the girl is not harmed. Have her taken to the detention room if you must but not submerged by the creature. If she's harmed… the emperor will have both of your heads." She ordered.

"Yes… Mistress…" They obeyed and then slithered back into the school.

Blueberry then turned back into swan form as she flew to the palace, seeing Eda walking to the school. She watched as the woman entered the school, talking herself into making sure Luz got into this school.

It was rather sweet, and it seemed Eda forgot that Belos could get Luz in with just a word.

Speaking of…

Back at the Emperor's Palace Later…

Belos was careful as he began to dismantle the objects he had purchased, making certain each part was properly cleaned, ready, or to be placed later for spare parts.

For an Engineer like himself, it's a pity to waste. His latest automaton, Codenamed SELENE will be quite an achievement. Most often have to scour the trash heaps around the island shores to find parts like this. It was a rule to all engineers of the Boiling Isles, to have the best parts for the cheapest price and best quality either make them yourself or salvage them from the wild. Since Belos hated to be covered in rubbish, he found this easier.

"I see you have found the components you have been hunting for and did a bit of examining within the waters of the Human Realm," Parfait spoke.

"Yes, it seems the anomaly has been becoming more fluent of late. We may need to be certain to prepare for that. Maybe ask Mildred Featherwhyle to see if her link has been growing stronger of late." Belos answered, "As for my latest puppet, I think she will make a great gift to my daughter for her coronation day."

"Speaking of presents, the gown and mask you commissioned have been coming along nicely, the material for the blades has just arrived." His palisman reported in.

"Good, everything seemed to be coming in very nicely." The emperor smiled as he continued his work on the automaton.

"Also, I believe Luzura wishes to expand her education at Hexside but may have gotten herself into trouble seeing she was banned from the premise," Parfait added as Belos stopped his work.

"If my daughter wants to attend, then she's going to attend. Arrange a meeting for Bump, I'll be on my way there."

"Very good, Sir."
