At the Human Appreciation Society meeting…

Luz was preparing herself for the grand entrance into the club.

She was having a blast at her school; she didn't see why Eda was so against it. Yes, some of the rules seemed strict, and some of the things were even weird but she was having a good time. She felt like she was fitting in a bit. Yet, something in the back of her mind was telling her something wasn't right. Willow seemed very upset with Gus, also Gus seemed to be pulling her around a bit… There was also the matter of her banned being lifted, shouldn't Bump be the one to tell her that? It seemed very odd, but Gus wouldn't lie to her. Maybe this is just how things work around here, still seemed a lot better than her old school.

"Everyone of HAS, I have brought to you an expert which can verify and identify human objects from the human realm! I present to you, Luz the Human!" Augustus proudly introduced as Luz presented herself, her ears, and all.

"Yep, that's me, Luz the Human!"

Luz was blushing as everyone marveled at the sight of her.

Well, almost everyone.

"Now, can you verify which items are human and which are not?" Gus asked his dear friend as she acted like an expert in one of the old movies her father likes to collect.

"I most certainly can, now let's start with Mattholomule's discovery. Hmm… This is not a human relic." Luz proclaimed as the other members looked at the student.

Soon the Cockiness Gus felt earlier would soon be gone.

"Okay, fine, I lied. Listen, I'm sorry, I just wanted to make friends and-and I didn't mean to cause trouble. I just want to have friends and if I could just bring something from the human realm. Maybe I could." Matt confessed.

But… It didn't feel like a confession to Luz. Something wasn't right. It felt… staged.

As it turned out it was.

For the guards came and took her!

"Let me go! Why are you doing this? I thought I was welcomed back to the school!" Luz shouted as they dragged her away.

"Forgive us… for defying you… your highness…" One of them apologized their words surprised Luz as they were out of earshot of the others.

"You know?"

"Indeed, we can smell your blood, royal blood, his blood." The other answered as they treated her gently, "As for your banishment being lifted, I am afraid my dear that you have been lied to."

Luz frowned at their response.

"We shall deal with the troublemakers. But we must take you to the room of the detention."

"Not Detention… you are… to wait… inside…"

What was detention like?

Something far worse than she was expecting.

They have this monster eat you, put you in suspended animation until your parents arrive, and educate you in the most boring way possible. Luckily, the guards weren't sending her there, but a spare room just above it with tea and biscuits.

"Why am I here?" Luz asked the two as they poured her tea.

"Wait… told to… keep you here… keep you safe…"

They were being vague, but Luz did as she was told, and looked down, she felt bad for the students stuck there.

Then Gus and Mattholomule arrived and Mattholomule was soon fed to the beast. Gus was cunning and saw Luz. He confessed to his lies and Luz forgave him, after all, she had her own secrets too. They soon freed the other students, who thanked Luz's touch, it freed them as she asked. Did it know Luz was royalty too? The guards said that she had her father's scent, his blood. Maybe it could tell as well.

As they were about to escape with everyone Bump and Eda were there! Bump was ready to punish the lot and make certain Luz never learned from this place when… she came.

"Am I interrupting something?" Blue asked, startling everyone.

"The Avian Advisor! What are you doing here?" Bump gasped as he bowed to the Palisman.

"He wants to see you, Eda, and her, now." She answered coldly as she walked towards the group.

"Can it wait-."

"Now, don't test him or me!" She warned then walked up to the two boys, "One more thing…"

She then grabbed the crown and smashed it with her hands, "Shame to the both of you, neither deserved to be president."

"Hey, I didn't do anything wrong!" Mattholomule complained.

"Sure Mr. I cause trouble for power and status."

"Y-you heard that?"

"I may be an old Palisman but nothing gets past me. Now, your punishments will be best discussed when Principal Bump returns from his meeting. But for now, you both will be cleaning up after the Detention Beast's leavings. Speaking of which…"

She walked towards the edge of the detention with a piece of Cockatrice's leg and fed it to the creature.

"There you go, Big Bertha. Something for your troubles."

Once that was done, Bump, Eda, and Luz then followed Blue.

At Bump's Office…

Bump bowed to the emperor, who was resting in one of the chairs, reading a book.

"A pleasure to be in your presence, your Majesty."

"No need to be so formal, Principal Bump. I am here to discuss the matter of Luzura's enrollment." He spoke.

"You know this girl?"

"Of course, what father wouldn't recognize his own daughter."

Bump felt like his mind was shattered. Luz is the Princess of the Boiling Isles. He banned the Princess of the Boiling Isles. He almost dissects the Princess of the Boiling Isles. If Belos finds out, he'll be the one dissected.

"Eda, I'm surprised you went through so much so Luz could expand her education, even though you could have just told me she wanted to attend." Belos reminded then Eda face palmed herself, "You didn't consider that option… Oh well, it would make for a better cover story."

"As you may be aware, the emperor wishes to keep the secret of his daughter until everything is ready. So, you could imagine that you want to keep it under your hat." Blue informed.

"O-of course and we will be fully eager to welcome her into our school." Bump grinned, hoping Luz wouldn't say anything that happened in the past.

"Thank you."

"Listen, kid, I know you want to know more, and I still think this place is uptight. But I'll support you all the way and hey… maybe you can teach them some bad girl magic." Eda grinned.

"Don't corrupt my child, Miss Clawthorne. I'm proud of your pursuit of knowledge. You are truly my daughter, a scholar in pursuit of understanding the world around you."

Luz blushed at the praise from both Eda and her father as they soon ended their meeting. Bump then stopped Luz for a moment.

"Err… Princess Luzura or maybe Miss. Luz should be preferable for the time being. Would you-I mean, can you-."

"Don't worry, I won't tell them. I promise."

Bump was relieved but he'll need to be more careful next time. The last thing he wanted was to be executed.
