All right, going to do this in parts so that way, we'll have an introduction to Steve's girlfriend, next part will be Steve and the girl that's chosen doing things together before ultimately the big moment between the two... as for how many parts for Steve x Akiko and any other future girls Steve manages to get together with... I'll say three parts for now, though that may change later depending on how big the story is. So, let's get started! First girl for Steve... Akiko Yoshida!

Steve contemplated for a while as he looked around at each girl in the picture, going deeper and deeper in thought... until finally, he spotted one picture of a girl in particular that he had known in the past. Quickly, he selected the picture as it started to enlarge.

Roger crossed his legs in curiosity as he looked at the picture of the young black haired Japanese teenager in a ponytail, wearing a white collared shirt with a grey cardigan vest over it, a short red pleated mini-skirt, black shoes and white socks. Roger blinked twice as he examined the picture. "Hmmm... you know, she looks familiar, but you tell me who this is, Steve."

Steve smiled. "Akiko Yoshida... the younger sister of my best friend, Toshi. You know, I first talked with her a few times... she offered to join our band... though for some reason, she looked a little younger... and then the next time I saw her, she was almost near the same age as Toshi, but still younger."

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure that band thing never happened." Roger rolled his eyes, as if dismissing something that he suspiciously knew...

"Well, anyway, I don't think I truly fell for her until that day when I was offered to go trick-or-treating with her... and she was wearing that sexy, sexy Chun-Li outfit..." Steve lowered his eyelids. "Oh, all the thoughts that raided my mind when I realized that Akiko wasn't just Toshi's younger sister, but a young woman... a sweet woman, a smart woman... and me, a young boy... sure, a horny young boy, but one that saw potential in someone like Akiko."

Steve gave a happy, romantic sigh before shaking his head. "Of course, I got rebuffed because Akiko was more interested in that young dancing kid, Doug... but then a few months later, we made up and we were at least talking again. Then the spelling bee contest occurred and me and Akiko were... oh, I don't know how to explain it, it was like we had completely fallen in love again."

"So... what stopped you from getting her?" Roger asked, cocking his head. "It seemed you two really got on well together, but then the next day, you were looking horny for another woman?"

Steve paused, before giving a frown. "I don't know, something happened that just... well, all I know was that Akiko and I just couldn't work things out, and while we agreed to remain friends, we just went our separate ways. I never spoke with her afterwards."

The brown-haired teen gave a small smile. "Oh, but what I wouldn't give to just go back and become Akiko's permanent boyfriend... we'd have a lot of fun together, her and I..."

"Well, like I said, once you push this sphere further, you'll end up in the body of your alternate self, and you'll manage to get all the information you need. Just make sure not to repeat the same mistakes with her that you had in this timeline, and you'll be set for life." Roger explained.

"Would it really work?" Steve asked.

"Steve, I've been using this thing multiple times, it WILL work. Just so long as you don't overuse it. But, if for any reason you want to try another timeline, talk to me, and I'll take you back here to give you another choice." Roger said. "Now, are you ready to go win that Japanese bitch's heart?"

"Hell yeah!" Steve shouted in all his glory.

"Then push the sphere, Steve! Push the sphere!" Roger shouted.

Steve let out a large scream as he put both hands on the sphere featuring Akiko as his world started to engulf itself in white...

The Love Life of Steve Smith and Akiko Yoshida

Steve groaned as his eyes slowly started to adjust to the light. "Ugh... what happened? Did it- huh?"

Once Steve's vision cleared up, he noticed that he wasn't at the area with Roger's ship, but rather in a different... familiar... area. A crowded lunch room, in fact, with people eating lunch, and Steve was slowly beginning to notice that he was sitting with his friends... Snot, Barry and Toshi, all of whom were eating lunch. Oddly enough, Toshi seemed to be getting up as he seemed to be marching in silence.

"Wait... how did I end up back in the lunch room? Was all of the thing with Roger... just a daydream or...?" Steve shut his eyes in anguish. "Dammit, I knew it was too good to be true..."

"Uh, Steve, dude? I think Toshi went to get his sister." Snot said, snapping the boy out of his daze.

"H-huh?" Steve blinked twice as he turned to see Toshi and Akiko arriving. Steve's eyes widened in surprise as he noted Toshi was upset about something, with Akiko looking at Steve with a small, angry look on her face. "Oh, uh, hey, Akiko!"

Toshi then started to speak his Japanese phrases as Steve looked over to the two, with Akiko looking between Toshi and Steve. After Toshi finished speaking, Akiko turned to Steve as she explained, "Toshi is greatly offended. Those chopsticks were carved from the femur of our great-grandmother."

Steve looked a bit confused, before his eyes widened as he looked down, only NOW noticing the chopsticks that were in his mouth. He quickly pulled them out as he started to think, "Wait, how... but this was the day th-"

Steve put the chopsticks back as Toshi continued to talk, with Akiko translating. "Until now, Toshi has stoically tolerated your boorish jokes. But no more!"

"Akiko, I-" Steve started as Toshi did the slapping motion and spoke Japanese.

Akiko, following Toshi's hand movements, slapped Steve in the face before translating, "Do not interrupt!"

Toshi then continued speaking as Akiko translated, causing Steve's eyes and ears to listen word for word as he was slowly beginning to realize the situation he was in. "Toshi issues a challenge. You will compete in the arena of your choosing. The loser will switch to the later lunch period so you never have to eat together again. Unless you care to apologize."

"This is exactly the same situation, when Toshi threatened to not be friends anymore... the hot dog eating contest... that's how it all started... my crush on Akiko must have started there... that means Roger's doohickey DID work. And... and..." Steve shut his eyes as he started to think. "Right, last time, I was stupid and decided to let Toshi challenge me... this time, I got to be more mature about this. Show them that I am deeply sorry..."

Steve took a deep breath. "Toshi, look, I know what I did with your family chopsticks... I realize that was wrong."

Toshi raised an eyebrow in curiosity as Snot and Barry watched, both of them looking rather surprised. Akiko stood by and watched as Steve continued, "Look, I don't want to lose our friendship over a misunderstanding. You're a very valuable member of my friendship group. Sure, you choose not to speak English, though I don't know if it's to annoy us or what, but honestly, if you had just communicated to me before I took your chopsticks, I wouldn't have taken them. But... I realize that I should have known better than to use your family heirlooms as humorous artifacts. So, I'm sorry I took your family heirlooms, and I'm sorry to have offended you in anyway. I don't want to lose our friendship over this."

Akiko listened to Steve's profound apology as she couldn't help but give a small smile, before turning to Toshi, who stared at Steve for a good minute, before giving a deep sigh. As he spoke, Akiko turned to Steve, "Toshi says fine, he forgives you, but watch yourself next time."

"Duly noted." Steve chuckled nervously as Akiko gave a nod towards Steve, and Toshi spoke to her before Akiko nodded and left. Steve paused as Toshi returned to his seat, before getting up. "Uh, pardon me, I have to take care of something."

Steve quickly decided to go off as he quickly caught up with Akiko, who was about to sit back down at her table. "Hey, Akiko?"

Akiko looked up, before giving a smile. "Hello, Steve. That was quite a profound apology you gave to Toshi back there. I think he managed to understand that what you did was wrong."

"Y-yeah. But to be fair, your brother always speaks Japanese around us, and sometimes, we don't even know what he says or how he reacts." Steve chuckles nervously.

"That's my brother for you. Always wanting to speak our native language. He can speak English, he just likes our native tongue. Sort of annoys Mom, though." Akiko smiled.

"I see..." Steve laughed, before pausing. "Uh, hey, Akiko, are you busy tomorrow?"

"Well, other than a violin lesson in the morning and training in the late afternoon, no." Akiko shook her head, before raising an eyebrow. "Why do you ask?"

"Well... uh... actually, I was wondering... that is, if you're not busy in the evening... there's a new restaurant opening at the mall, and well, I thought it would... that is to say..." Steve bit his lip, before shaking his head. He couldn't be the shy boy that screws everything up here. He needed this to be PERFECT. "Akiko, would you go out with me to the new restaurant in town?"

The young Japanese girl looked rather surprised, before giving a smile. "Why, Steve, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you were trying to ask me out on a date."

"Well... that is, I..." Steve chuckled nervously, before Akiko grabbed his hand.

"Because I would love to go out with you this evening." Akiko giggled, making the brown-haired teen blush. "Besides, I've always wanted to get to know the leader of my brother's friend group."

Steve laughed nervously before giving a nod. "Awesome. So, five o'clock good to pick you up?"

"Of course. I should be done with everything by then." Akiko smiled.

Steve returned the smile before giving a nod. "Then I'll see you tomorrow evening then."

"I'll be there." Akiko grinned as the young man turned around and went back to his seat at the table.

Steve's friends had watched the whole affair in surprise as Snot looked surprise. "Uh, wow, Steve. Where did this sudden boldness come from?"

"I... I guess it was natural instinct." Steve laughed before turning to Toshi. "Hey, Toshi, you're not going to be upset that I basically asked your sister out, are you?"

Toshi narrowed his eyes at Steve, before speaking in Japanese, "That depends on how you treat her. If I find she's harmed even in one place, my promise to murder you on the spot WILL come quick."

However, Steve mistook Toshi's threat as a calming gesture before smiling, "I'm glad you understand. Anyway, uh, let's talk about lunch, shall we?"

And with that, the boys continued their lunch discussion as Steve couldn't help but look back towards Akiko, who was talking amongst her friends. He couldn't help but give a small smile. He was certainly going to win over Akiko if things went his way...
