The Ashes of Confidence

Ash is a young Pokemon trainer who wants to become famous as one of the greatest, he is held back from pursuing this dream however due to his nerves and overall lack of confidence. His luck changes when he finds a pendant that has special powers. Using this new power Ash is able to transform himself and pursue his dream, all the while trying to keep his secret from everyone.

1. Chapter 1 The Ashes of Confidence

(A/N #1: This Story takes Place in a Universe where after Concluding his Unova Journey Ash did his time in the Alola Region before having his Kalos Journey. In other words, Story Starts after Ash's Kalos League Defeat).

(A/N #2: Before we begin, I would like to Thank an Individual Named, "Tomaris" who gave me the Idea for this Story. Thank You very much Tomaris).

(Our Story begins on a Dark Stormy and Rainy Day in the Town, called Pallet Town. We go One House in Particular, a House with a Red Roof, a garden with a Fence around the Garden. Inside the House was a Woman sitting on an Orange Sofa. She was having a Cup of Hot Chocolate to soothe her nerves; her Name was Delia Ketchum. Then the Family's Housekeeper, Mr. Mime walked into the Living Room from the Kitchen. Delia Smiled a Little at Mr. Mime, before her Mind returned to the Problem that has been on her mind for quite a while now. Then they heard a Scampering Noise and looked to See another Pokémon enter the Room. It was a Pikachu, one that Belonged to Delia's Son. Pikachu had a Very worried look on his Face. Delia held her arms out for a loving hug, which Pikachu accepted. Then Delia Stood up and went to the Source of the Problem, her son Ash Ketchum's Room. Delia Knocked on the Door, but there was no response. So, Delia opened the Door to her Son's Room, and looked around and found her son, lying in Bad as he had been doing every day for a Month. Ash Ketchum had become Heartbroken, Disconsolate, withdrawn, and worst of all… Ash Ketchum was confidence less! Unwilling to do anything, especially Battle. It Broke Delia's Heart to see her Once Happy and Outgoing Son Like this. The Same was true for Pikachu as well. He missed his Pal, his Best Friend, and his Battling Buddy. Delia Said Sadly).

Delia Ketchum: Oh Ash. (Delia, and Pikachu silently Walk out of Ash's Room, silently Remembering how all this Began. It all started… ONE MONTH AGO!).
