"Wait what?" Midna asked alarmed.
She looked at her closet friend, who was also secretly in love with her, and gently placed a hand on the princess' shoulder.

Immediately, everyone's eyes snapped at Zelda. Midna was the only one who didn't look the happiest. Samus on the other hand stole a glance at Link again. Her heart began to be filled with warmth as a new possibility surged through her. Zelda looked down and placed a hand over her heart, as her lips trembled.

Link's eyes shot open. Confusion and anger filled his blood.
"What?! No way! I...we defeated him, together! He should have been long dead by now, and sealed away underneath Hyrule Castle, before me and my father left Hyrule!" he protested.
Zelda frowned.
"Yes...but...some things have made certain circumstances possible again." she added.
While Zelda didn't mean it, it unintentionally made Samus feel guilty again. She quickly wiped a tear from her face before anyone could noticed, but Link saw it.
"Samus...are you alright?" Link asked her.
She shook her head. Her eyes were filled with guilt and sorrow.
"I'm fine, Link. I'm just...sorry." she said before walking away from them.
"Hey...wait! Just look at me...it's fine." Link said catching up to her and placing his hands on her shoulders.
Samus looked up at Link, with both of their blue eyes staring deeply into each other.
"I wish that I could say that, but please listen to Princess Zelda." Samus requested.
Link nodded and turned his attention back to Zelda, who was holding hands with Midna.
"When Ganondorf was resurrected, he was hellbent on lust and revenge. He made his way and found me. Once he was alone with me...he...he..." but Zelda's words drifted off as her throat became sore.
"Zelda...you don't have to say it." Midna said squeezing her hand.

On the other hand, Midna was frowning.

Link looked at his father in confusion, and then back to Zelda to listen to her again.
