Chapter 12 Kat Returns. Kat has an idea. We find out what it is. Close to you by the Carpenters.

Willow and Kennedy are running through the jungle as fast as they can.

"Is it still following us?" says Kennedy looking behind them.

"I don't know," says Willow breathing real hard. "But I can't run anymore." Willow leans on a tree and looks at Kennedy.

"We have to. What if it..." Kennedy is interrupted by someone grabbing her from the back of her neck. Willow's eyes grow big as she looks at the thing that has Kennedy. She then breaks a piece of wood from a tree near by and stabs the thing that grabbed Kennedy in its gut.

"Sorry," says Willow. Kennedy is release and begins to breathe hard holding her neck.

"Willow Kennedy," calls Giles. He goes over to them.

"You think he's going to be alright," ask Willow.

"Yes," says Giles. He looks at the thing that grabbed Kennedy, Angel, on the ground who is feeling twice the pain with the wooden stake in his gut. "Willow don't you think that was a little too close to the heart?"

"I said I'm sorry," says Willow. "I didn't know what else to do." A mist begins to escape from Angel's body. They all stood away from him as the mist disappears.

"You think Xander got far away?" ask Willow to Giles.

"Let's hope so," says Giles. "This being has no power without a host. It would difficult for him to find her if she's far away from him."

"Ouch," says Angel pulling the stake out.

"Oh that really had to hurt," says Kennedy.

"Yeah, just a little," says Angel holding his wound with his left hand that is covered with blood. Kennedy helps Angel up.

"Sorry about the choking," says Angel to Kennedy.

"You're forgiven," says Kennedy.

"Come on lets return back to Xander's hut," says Giles as he puts Angel's arm over his shoulder and helps him walk.

Kat and Tammy stay a little behind the others as they walk through the jungle looking for Angel and the others.

"What do you think about it?" ask Kat to Tammy.

"I think it could work," says Tammy. "Can I try the duster on?"

"No," says Spike with his head turned away from the two.

"Stupid vampire hearing," says Tammy.

"I heard that," says Spike. Kat laughs as they follow them.

Buffy's crew arrives at the village where they left that day earlier. They decide to check on Dawn and Lorne to see if Angel and the others had arrived there too.

Dawn is asleep but Lorne is wide awake. So not wake Dawn Lorne steps outside with the others.

"No, Angel cakes hasn't been here," says Lorne. He looks at Kat and Tammy. "The mind is the most powerful source of the body."

"I'm guessing you know," says Wesley to Lorne. Wesley looks at Kat and Tammy.

"She was calling when he was coming for her," says Lorne.

"Maybe since you're telepathic you could help them out," says Fred. "We need all the help we can get."

"Sure," says Lorne. "Where did you get your powers sweet cheeks? You're obviously not demons."

"To tell you the truth," says Kat. "We don't know. If we got them when we arrived here then that would make sense, but we're not witches or any type of powerful being. Well, Tammy could be a witch sometimes but not the kind we're looking for here."

"You're crossing the line missy," says Tammy. Spike laughs at what Kat said about Tammy.

"Maybe you did get them when you got here," says Gunn.

"What are you getting at Gunn?" ask Wesley.

"I remember this one time I read this book when we were doing research back in the day," says Gunn.

"What was the book about?"

"It was about time dimensions or some sort," says Gunn.

"Time, Space and Other Worlds is the title of the book," says Angel walking over to them with Giles and Kennedy.

"Angel, what happen?" ask Buffy going over to him and helping him to sit down on the wooden chair outside of Xander's hut.

"Willow stuck a stake in me," says Angel.

"Willow," says Buffy turning to Willow.

"I didn't do it on purpose," says Willow. "He was possesses."

"Gunn what do remember about the book?" ask Wesley.

"Oh right um it said that beings from other dimensions sometimes gain a superior powers," says Gunn.

"Kind like Superman," says Xander.

"It seems that way," says Wesley.

"Okay so we know how we got them," says Kat.

"How do we use them for good?" says Tammy finishing Kat's thought.

"Don't do that," says Kat.

"Maybe they should sing for you Lorne," says Angel holding his wound.

"Singing," says Xander. "Are we going all musical again." Kat laughs but no body else does.

"Tammy why don't you go first," says Angel.

"Hold on it minute let me get me some earplugs," says Spike.

Spike gives Tammy a look and Tammy looks back at him.

"What?" says Tammy with an attitude.

"Nothing," says Spike still smiling. "Actually, that was pretty good."

"Oh, thanks," says Tammy. "You weren't so bad yourself." Tammy then starts to rethink what she just said.

"What are you taking about?"

"Never mind." Tammy turns to Lorne. "So what ya see?"

"Nothing," says Lorne.
