Episode 18: Emperor Mavro
Jake's House
Some of the Rangers went back home after the tragic news. Jen and Wes went to see what they could find from the future while Andros promised to search for that basement and call for Leo Corbett with Karone to help them. The rest of the Rangers were sent home, trying their elements in the case of the Ninja Storm Rangers or spirits in the case of the Jungle Fury to try and contact Jake or any part of him still on this planet.
Only the Mighty Morphing and the Megaforce Rangers went to Jake's house, not wanting to go to their own houses, at least that night.
Tommy look up when he saw Kat and Kimberly coming down the stairs. Kat sat on the sofa and Kimberly sat beside Tommy on the other sofa.
-How is everyone? -asked Tommy.
-I gave Jason tea to sleep but I'm not sure it will help. -said Kat-… and the last time I checked on Troy and Noah they were by Jake's room and decided to sleep on the ground, outside, to respect the girls but still wanting to be near Jake.
-The girls are no better, Emma is trying her best to support Gia but she is hurting too, and Gia… Gia is a mess. She refuses to move from Jake's bed.
-And Orion? -asked Tommy.
-Exhausted but he fell asleep grabbing Jake's morpher and cards…-said Kat, covering her face with her hands-… I can't believe this is happening.
Kimberly moved to hug her and Tommy was about to do the same when suddenly, his sword started to move and he looked to the side, where Saba's eyes were red then, Tommy remembered, Bastro was Saba's brother.
-Saba…-whispered Tommy.
-My brother is not dead, master. I still feel his energy and the boys too. They are weak but not gone…-said Saba.
Tommy looked at Saba, surprised, Kimberly and Kat that heard the sword too got up, looking at it as if it just gave them new hope in the middle of all this pain.
-What do we do now? -asked Kat.
-I'll call Andros and Leo, and let them know what Saba told me. -said Tommy, looking up… let them rest, for now, we need to confirm this…
Tommy got up, ready to leave when Kimberly stopped him.
-Where are you going? -asked Kimberly.
-To the Command Center. I have to tell Gosei and Tenshou. See you later.
He kissed Kimberly and then ran towards his jeep, jumping on it and leaving towards the Command Center while he felt a tear run down his cheek and smiled… if that kid is alive, he is going to be in so much trouble.
Andresia
When Jake opened his eyes, the first thing he felt as his vision focused was pain. His body was in so much pain he winced and then, he felt something wet that calmed the fire on his head a little bit before he saw a couple of hands and a kid looking down at him.
-Papa! He is awake!
Jake winced again, the voice of the kid too much for his ears while his vision focused. He was in a cave, there was a table and several cups, and there was something that was being cooked too and that smelled very well once Jake got a chance to smell something again.
Then he saw a man, walking towards him and adjusting the cloth on his forehead before he sit down beside Jake, helping him to sit down, that's when Jake saw that his chest was covered by a bandage and his pants were dirty. He looked up when he saw the man getting up and coming back with a cup of water and food.
-Here… eat a little bit. -said the man.
-Thank you…-whispered Jake, grabbing the plate and the cup of water-… where am I?
The man looked at his son, hiding behind him, and then looked up at Jake again.
-You are in Adresia… your basement crashed here two days ago. -said the man-… we saw you and rescue you.
-Andresia…-said Jake, thinking and then surprised when he realized that the name was so familiar-… Orion's planet?
The man and the kid looked at each other and then back at Jake, surprised by hearing the name. A smile appeared on the man's face while the kid got closer to Jake.
-You know my brother? -asked the kid.
-Your brother? Orion is your brother? -asked Jake.
-Yes! We thought we lost him when the Armada invaded us but… but you say he is with you!
Jake nodded, leaving the plate and the cup of water on the side, and then looking back at the kid and the man. The man looked about to cry and Jake put a hand on his shoulder, ignoring the pain of moving as he assumed this was Orion's father.
-Your son was working when the invasion came. He found the Silver Super Megaforce Morpher and the key and trained alone, thinking you all were captured or killed then, he stole an alien ship and came to Earth, following the Armada. That's when I meet him and he became part of our team. -explained Jake, smiling-… Orion is our friend now and he has been working with us to defend our planet in hopes to free Andresia when we bring down the Armada.
-He has one of our devices too? -asked the man.
-Yes, I assume you saw mine. I am the Green Ranger. He is the Silver Ranger and my friends are Red, Blue, Yellow, and Pink Rangers. We were able to fight off the Armada all this time because of the devices you created. -said, Jake.
The man nodded, extremely happy to know not only his son alive but that their devices were in good hands and were used to fight the Armada, now, he understood better why the Armada has been calling the guards that were guarding them.
Jake looked around, the cave seemed to have only the basics but he was grateful they found him and not the Armada. He moved his legs, trying to get up, and winced in pain, touching his chest when he tried to stand.
The man quickly got up and helped him.
-You should rest, your wound was pretty bad. -said the man-…my name is Arias and this is Bass.
-Arias… Bass… I'll remember that…-said Jake, looking towards the exit of the cave-… how is the situation here?
-Soldiers have been going in and out. I guess because of you and your friends, now there is a minimum but is expected that General Damaras will come for an inspection soon. -explained Arias.
-Damaras? He is coming here? -asked Jake.
-He will come and do an execution. -said Bass, looking down-… he only wants young to fight for the Armada so the old…
Jake looked at the boy and then at Arias. He put a hand on Bass' hair and made the kid look at him while a new conviction grew inside Jake. He wouldn't let this happen. He has going to stop Damaras and maybe go back home.
Home… do they know he crashed? Will he be able to come back to them?
Jake closed his eyes. He wanted to see everyone. He wanted to see Gia again but first, he had to finish this. He promised Orion he would help him to free his planet and now he has the chance to do just that.
-I will help you to save this planet. Orion is a good friend and I won't fail him, not after all he has done for us. -said, Jake. -… I'm Jake by the way.
-Thank you, Jake. I'm happy my son found honorable people like you. -said, Arias.
-We will kick Damaras' ass this time! -said, Bass.
Jake chuckled while Arias gave a look at his son and then, Jake sat down at the table with Arias and Bass, ready to eat and get ready for Damaras' impending visit to this land where he would find more than he imagined.
Alien Ship
Damaras teleported inside the Emperor's room where he saw him sitting on his chair, there were no Elite Guardians, there was no one and for a second, Damaras wondered if it was a good idea to be here now that both Emperor's sons were dead.
-Damaras… are you getting ready for your visit to Andresia?
The Emperor's voice caught Damaras by surprise as the General nodded, kneeling in front of his Emperor while he saw a picture of Vekar and Vrak on each side of the chair where the Emperor was sitting. Damaras lowered his head.
-Yes, Emperor. I am supposed to execute the Andresians that are not good for our cause…-said Damaras-… there was also a report that Vrak's basement crashed there.
-I see…-said the Emperor, getting up and walking to Damaras-… I want you to investigate that crash, find my son's body and the Ranger's… I will make sure that his death is an example of every other living creature that no one messes with Emperor Mavro.
Damaras nodded, not raising his head for respect to his Emperor, only when the Emperor took a step back Damaras got up and turned around, ready to accomplish his mission while the Emperor looked at him go, thinking already how to show the Rangers their mistake.
Command Center (Earth)
By the time Tommy arrived there, Wes and Jen Collins were there too, talking to Gosei and Tenshou. Billy and Ethan were also there, already doing their work in tracking whatever they were asked to track while Tommy walked into the Command Center.
Only then he understood, Billy and Ethan must be already tracking Jake and he looked at Wes and Jen.
-I'm sorry. They didn't let us know what was happening until Saba contacted you, Tommy. -said Jen, looking down-… sometimes being from the future is not that good.
-Is ok, if Jake is alive then? Is confirmed? -asked Tommy.
-That's what Lucas told us but he is forbidden to say where. He said Jake has something important to do and he needs the time we are going to use looking for him. -said, Wes.
Tommy didn't like it but he understood they could not change destiny and maybe this is one of the things they couldn't change, at the same time he was happy to finally confirm that Jake was alive and well, now the question was where?
-So where did you start looking for him? -asked Tommy, looking at Billy and Ethan.
-Wes allowed us to use his satellite so we are making a map of the trajectory of the basement from the moment we saw it to calculate where it may have crashed. -said, Billy.
-There are a lot of possibilities but I called a few friends and also Andros has contacts we are using to determine if there was any rock in space at the moment of the crash or something that could have changed the trajectory. We are also thinking that since Vrak was there too, he may have taken Jake by surprise, crashing the basement since Jake knew how to pilot, thanks to Andros' teachings. -said, Ethan.
-Ok…-said Tommy, looking at his sword and grabbing it from his belt-… Saba, do you think you can help them track your brother's energy?
Saba's eyes turned red and Tommy nodded, walking closer to Billy and Ethan, and putting the sword in front of the controls they were using. Saba's eyes went red again and they saw a small track of white, appearing on the screen.
-That's my brother's energy. It will take a while to create a path because now is weak but once the path is done, Billy and Ethan will be able to locate the crash.
-Good… I will talk to Andros. I'm sure he and the Lost Galaxy Ranger will be ready to go and get Jake as soon as possible. -said, Tommy.
Tommy was going to turn around when Wes stopped him and the veteran Ranger looked at him.
-What about the others? Did you tell Jason and Jake's friends? -asked Wes.
-Not yet… I wanted to confirm the news first but I don't even know if they will believe in me without seeing Jake right now… Gosei, what do you think? -said, Tommy.
-You may be right, Tommy. I think we should wait to have at least an image of Jake, meanwhile, the city still needs Rangers. They are grieving now but I'm sure they will fight for Jake's memory with the same passion he did and when it's time then, you can tell them. -said Gosei.
-And what about Jason? -asked Wes.
-Go to see him when the Megaforce Rangers are gone, and tell him about it. -said Tommy, putting a hand on Wes' shoulder-… I will make sure everything is ready to go get Jake, no matter where he is.
Wes nodded and let Tommy go while he sighed. Jake was fine and that was great but they still had to find him and keep the city safe and none of that was going to be easy, not with grieving Rangers having to put aside their feelings to fight.
Andresia
Damaras arrive at the ruined planet and saw his people commanding Adresians to work without rest. He chuckled when an old man fell and was kicked by one of the X-Borgs, forcing the poor man to get up while the others look at them, unable to help even when they wanted to.
-Adrian!
At the sound of his voice, the Andresians started to shake, fearing the worse when they saw Damaras walking towards them. He walked confidently as he alone took control of this planet with no major efforts and that's why, today, he could decide who lived and how died.
He arrived at the center of the crater where Andresians was working and looked around, the X-Borgs stood in formation while the Adresians cowered in fear.
-I have an announcement to make! -said Damaras-… as you know, Emperor Mavro lost two sons thanks to the Rangers and as retaliation, because one of those Rangers was Orion, an Andresian, today I will eliminate everyone that doesn't fit our standards!
Damaras pointed at the man on the ground and the X-Borgs grabbed him, dragging him to the front and throwing him at Damaras fit. The old man was shaking, pleading for his life but Damaras didn't care, this was the first lesson they will learn.
Soon, they will hate the Rangers as much as he did.
-Now! Thank the Power Rangers for this situation! -screamed Damaras.
Damaras raised his sword, ready to strike when someone fired at it, pushing Damaras a few steps back from the man. Damaras and the surprised Andresians looked to the side, where they saw a figure while the smoke disappeared.
Damaras was furious when he saw who was it.
-You! -screamed Damaras.
-This ends now, Damaras! -said Jake, grabbing his device-… I won't let you hurt these people anymore! Super Megaforce!
The Indonesians looked amazed at how their device transformed Jake into the Super Megaforce Green Ranger and Damaras roared, moving his sword, and making all the X-Borgs turn toward the Green Ranger.
-Destroy him! -screamed Damaras.
Green grabbed his sword and pistol and go ready, this was going to be a long day.
Command Center (Earth)
Jen and Wes left for Jake's house and Billy and Ethan moved to another room, to give some privacy to the Megaforce Rangers where they were called by Gosei. The Rangers appeared, of course, but there was nothing in them. They will fight, the happiness, the determination, all was gone.
-Gosei… did you call us? -asked Troy.
-Yes, Rangers. Please, come closer. -said Gosei.
The Rangers took a few steps toward Gosei and he could see the effects of Jake's death on them. Troy looked guilty. Noah didn't raise his head, as if he just zoned out and was unable to come back. Orion was still holding Jake's morpher and cards as if he was a kid waiting for his big brother to come home. Emma's looked beyond sad, forgetting the calm and happiness she brought to the group and too worried about Gia to take care of herself and Gia… Gosei was worried the Yellow Ranger was going to pass out any moment.
She looked pale and Gosei was sure she didn't eat since they heard the news about Jake. Gosei felt extremely bad for hiding them Jake was alive but without finding him, it would only send the Rangers into a panicked situation they didn't need right now. Tenshou seemed to feel the same because he stood beside Gia, putting his little metallic head under her hand as if he was helping to support her.
-Rangers… I know this loss has left you void of emotions, broken, and with no desire to follow this journey but this city still needs you all and the Armada is still out there…-started Gosei-… I know losing Jake is not easy but he did what he did knowing that if the worst comes to worst, he could you all could keep his legacy and the legacy of his family alive.
-I'm not sure we deserve that trust, Gosei. We failed to do what we wanted to do the most, which was to protect him from what our spirits kept screaming was going to happen. -said Troy, with a broken voice-… and now…
-Now you have to keep doing what Jake wanted you to do, Troy -said Gosei-… He made you the leader because he saw in you the capacity of leading this team toward victory no matter what. He believes in your power and dedication. He believed in your heart. He believed in you.
Troy looked down, a few tears falling when his morpher turned Red. Troy grabbed it and looked at it, remembering his duty and what Jake told him the first time he saw him then, automatically, he morphed into the Red Super Megaforce Ranger.
-Emma, Jake gave you the powers of the Pink Ranger not only because you have a heart of gold and takes care of the other Rangers with calm and kindness. He also gave you these powers because he knew your value and that you could use all of them during battle. -said Gosei-… you proved that with Rico and you prove this now, Emma. You hold your pain to take care of others and that's why Jake believed you were the heart of this team.
Emma looked down at her morpher, shining Pink, and smiled, touching it with care when she morphed into the Super Megaforce Pink. She hugged the morpher and nodded, looking up proudly and grabbing Red's free hand.
-Orion, I know Jake didn't give you powers but he believed you and fought for you to be part of the team. He saw your pain and refused the idea of you feeling alone. He made you a promise and even if he is not here to fulfill that promise, he gave you his morpher and his cards so part of him could still be with you. -said Gosei.
Orion looked at the morphed cards that he had in his hands and nodded, serious and holding off the need to cry. He put the morpher and the cards on his belt and then, he automatically morphed into the Silver Super Megaforce Ranger, closing his fists with the new determination of avenging his friend.
-Noah… your spent most of your life with Jake so I understand this is not easy or logical for you but he trusted your ability to help the team in battle, from helping with the devices to saving their lives. He always believed that if we should trust in someone, that should be you. -said Gosei-… now he is not here to remind you that but you still have four other friends and a good number of veteran Rangers that believe the same. Now, you must show Jake's trust was not misplaced, Noah and that you will honor his beliefs.
Noah grabbed his morpher and transformed into the Blue Super Megaforce Rangers, nodding to himself, slowly. He failed himself and Jake, yes, but he would not fail his memory. He trusted him and Noah was going to spend the rest of his life proving that Jake didn't put his trust in the wrong person.
-Gia… I understand how much you and Jake loved each other and how hard you tried to keep him safe but you must know that every second with you, was a blessing for him even before that, even before you discovered that wonderful feeling, Jake still saw you as someone who deserved to carry his mother's power. -said Gosei-… he saw you as the protector of the team. The one always standing to defend others. The strong woman he fell in love with.
Gia looked down at her morpher and sighed. Her heart was broken but she knew what Jake would say if he was in front of her now.
-Let that love that will always be with be the weapon you need to save the city, Gia. -said Gosei-…let Jake's memory carry you to victory.
Gia raised her head and looked up to Gosei as she morphed into the Super Megaforce Yellow Ranger. The Rangers looked at each other when the alarm went off and showed X-Borgs attacking the city and Red turned towards his friends and raised his hand. The others followed him, putting their hands over Reds.
-For Jake. -said Red.
-For Jake. -said the Rangers.
They would do what they must do to honor their friend and end with the Armada then, they could grieve then. As they teleported towards the Plaza and Tenshou and Gosei looked at them go.
-Gosei… -said Tenshou.
-I know, Tenshou but soon the truth will be revealed, for now, they have what they need to keep Jake's memory alive and when he is back then they will come back too. -said Gosei.
Tenshou nodded and disappeared towards the room where Billy and Ethan continue their work while Gosei's green eyes shine and hoped for the best because he was sure of something, they could not lose Jake.
Jake's House
Wes and Jen arrived at Holling's house and hug Kat and Kim as soon as they walked into the house. They could see Jason wasn't there and Wes nodded, looking at Jen.
-I will go talk to him. -said, Wes.
Jen nodded while Wes kissed her on the cheek and went upstairs. Jen looked at Kat and Kimberly, that were waiting for news, and smiled at them, walking towards the kitchen.
-I think we are going to need coffee. I will explain everything. -said, Jen.
Both Pink Rangers nodded and the three women walked to the kitchen while upstairs, Wes walked into Jason and Kat's room, seeing the Red Ranger sitting on his chair, looking out the window. He looked lost and defeated and Wes let out a sigh before closing the door and walking toward Jason.
-Jase… we need to talk…-started Wes.
-I bet you couldn't predict this event, uh? -said, Jason.
Wes walked slowly, in silence, and sat down on the bed, looking at Jason. When the Mighty Morphing Red Ranger looked at him, Wes could see the tears and the red eyes and felt his heart break for the strong man… the one everyone look up to as a Red Ranger, so broken.
-Trini must be so mad at me… but at least they are together now. -said Jason with a broken voice-… I don't know what to do Wes.
-Hear me out, Jason. Jake is not with Trini yet. -said, Wes.
-He was so full of life and…-said Jason but stopped when he realized what Wes said-… what?
-Jake is still alive. The Basement crashed somewhere but Saba and Lucas confirmed he is still alive. -said Wes, smiling when he saw Jason's surprised face-… Billy and Ethan with Saba's help are looking for him now but he is alive, Jason. Your son is still alive.
-Jake is… alive? -asked Jason.
Wes nodded and Jason slowly got up from his chair at the same time Wes did. The Red Ranger looked at the Time Force Red Ranger as a smile started to appear on his face and Jason couldn't stop the tears from falling as he started laughing.
Wes and Jason hugged as they laugh because Jake was alive. Jake was alive!
In the living room, the Pink Rangers were talking when they saw Jason running down the stairs and towards Kat, grabbing her and pulling her up before hugging her, suddenly the old Jason was back and full of energy. We came down after him and walked towards Jen, hugging her while Kim and they looked at the happy couple.
-Jake is alive! -said Jason.
Kat nodded, crying and they kissed while Kim did her best to hide her happy tears Wes and Jen looked at them, happy to bring good news to the team then, Jason lowered Kat down and looked at Wes and Jen.
-What do we do? Where is he? -asked Jason.
-We can go back to the Command Center, and see if Billy and Ethan have something new. -said, Wes.
Jason nodded and the Rangers left the house, running to their cars and driving towards the Command Center, hoping to find more good news soon.
Andresia
For the Green Ranger defeat, X-Borgs was nothing. He got rid of them in record time while behind the scene, Arias and Bass guided the prisoners out of their prison and pointed towards a refuge they were going to use until Damaras was defeated and Andresia went back to their people.
When there was only the Green Ranger and Damaras, Damaras seemed furious in front of the boy that managed to bring down his army of X-Borgs. He raised his sword, ready to attack, and ran toward the Green Ranger, who did the same.
Both swords clashed and the Ranger and the alien started to fight, clashing their swords over and over until Damaras punched the Green Ranger on the chest, right on his injury but the Green Ranger managed to stand his ground and used his head to hit Damaras right on the face.
Damaras gave several steps back while Green touched his chest, he could almost feel the wet bandage under his armor.
-You will be defeated today, Ranger! -screamed Damaras.
-Not until you are. -said Green.
Damaras throw his sword at him like a boomerang but Green prepared, calling for the wind to avoid the sword, and throwing it back to Damaras. Damaras ran towards Green then and Green moved, a movement set his father and his Uncle Tommy taught him then, he jumped over Damaras' back, like his Aunt Kimberly teach him, and kicked Damaras on the back, courtesy of Uncle Zhane's teachings.
Damaras turned around, using his cape to blind Green for a moment, and then kicked him, throwing Green to the ground then, Damaras send an attack with his sword but Green avoided it, thanks to Uncle Carter's and the Lightspeed Rescue's constant training and got up, using his Aunt Jen and the Time Force Rangers teaching to aim with his pistol and hit Damaras on the chest.
-AGH!
Damaras' eyes were red when, furious, he threw his everything at Green and before he could stop him, Damaras hit him on the chest again, opening his wound and making Green scream in pain as he fell to the ground.
Damaras stood there, looking down at him.
-You have caused me enough problems, Ranger…-said Damaras.
Damaras raised his sword, ready to finish Green when he felt a stone hit his back and then another and another. He and Green, that was still on the ground, looked to see the Andresians, standing behind them and throwing stones at Damaras.
-Leave the Ranger alone! -screamed Bass.
-Yeah! Your fight is with us! -said another woman.
-Yes!
People started screaming and throwing stones at Damaras, forcing him to stand back from Green while Green looked at the Andresians in awe and nodded to them. They were strong, they could reclaim their planet, all they needed was to get rid of Damaras, and that… what was his job.
Command Center (Earth)
After taking care of the X-Borgs the Super Megaforce Rangers went back to the Command Center only to find everyone was there, Billy and Ethan had a big panel in front of them, showing a white trajectory Andros and Leo were following with the Space and Lost Galaxy Rangers.
-What… what is going on? -asked Troy, demorphing with the rest of the team.
Jason appeared from the shadows and looked at the Rangers, smiling at them as he still could not believe the news Wes gave him a few hours ago. He looked at the Rangers and put a hand on Gia's shoulder while he looked at the others.
-Somehow, Jake survived the Basement crash… Billy and Ethan have been tracking him but it was Saba the first one that felt Bastro's energy then, Wes and Jen confirmed Jake was alive with their team in the future… -explained Jason as the Super Megaforce Ranger looked at him in disbelief-…he is alive and everything is pointing that he crashed in Andresia.
-Andresia!? My planet!? -asked Orion.
-Yeah… -said Jason, laughing.
The Rangers looked at each other, still not believing the news and then, they all exploded in happiness with Emma and Gia crying and hugging while Troy, Noah, and Orion hug each other and jumped together then, the Rangers made a group hug, overwhelmed by the news.
-We got images! -said, Andros.
Andros send the signal and at that moment, all the happiness was turned into worry as they saw X-Borgs pointing with guns at the Andresians while Damaras prepared to lower his sword on the Green Ranger's back.
-This is your end. You made us think you were strong but you are nothing but another pathetic human…-said Damaras.
And then, Damaras lowered his sword.
Andresia
Damaras lowered his sword but was stopped by a barrier created when Green raised his hand. He got up, slowly, forcing Damaras' sword back until an explosion of energy sent Damaras to the ground as the Ranger stand in front of him with a white aura surrounding him.
-You don't know me at all, Damaras…-whispered the Green Ranger-… I am the son of the first Mighty Morphing Red and Yellow Ranger that learn from several generations of Rangers how to fight and how to love and respect every living creature of the universe…
Green moved his hand away, his gloves and boots turning black with golden stripes as he started to walk toward Damaras.
-My team, the Megaforce and Super Megaforce Rangers have extraordinary, kind, and strong young men and women that risked their lives for the ones that are unable to fight people like you… -said Green, his helmet and armor turning white with patches of green.
-And the young woman I love, Damaras… made me stronger and more aware of what is around me. Thanks to her, I'm a better person now. Thanks to them, I can fight for what I love and keep my promises. -said the Super Megaforce Ranger.
The Super Megaforce Ranger called for his sword and two appeared, one in each hand while Damaras got up and called for his sword.
-And Orion… I made a promise to him. He is my family now and if his people suffer, I suffer too…-said the Super Megaforce Ranger-…for him and for every person you hurt here on this planet. I will put an end to this.
-Let's see about that! X-Borgs! Finish them! -screamed Damaras.
At that moment, right before the X-Borgs fired, something fired at them and the Super Megaforce Ranger nodded when he saw the Space Ranger and the Lost Galaxy Rangers jumping off the Astro Ship, running to the X-Borgs and fighting them.
-Hey, Jake! You took your time, little one! -said the Red Lost Galaxy Ranger.
-You are in so much trouble, young man! -said the Yellow Space Ranger.
The Super Megaforce Ranger turned to Damaras and saw him running, raising his sword. The Super Megaforce Ranger prepared, putting his swords together, crossing in front of his chest, and lowering his head, preparing his attack.
-Die! -screamed Damaras.
When he was about to hit the Ranger, the Super Megaforce Ranger throw a white wave in Damaras' direction with so much energy that Damaras' eyes lost color and he fell to the ground, completely defeated while the Rangers turned around and looked at the Lost Galaxy and Space teams run towards him.
-Jake!
They all demorphed and Jake smiled, hugging part of his family, all of them happy to see him alive, some crying and some promising to have a long talk with him. They were so immersed in the hugs that it took them a few minutes to hear people clapping behind them until they turned and saw the Andresians clapping and cheering for Jake.
Damaras was defeated. The planet is free.
-Good job, kid. -said Andros-… you saved this planet.
Jake smiled, looking at his device and then, looking at his Uncle Andros.
-I made a promise. -said, Jake.
-Ok, everyone! Let's go home! -said Zhane.
Command Center (Earth)
Orion saw with tears in his eyes how Jake said goodbye to his father and hugged his little brother, promising him to come back to visit with the other Rangers before the Rangers got into the Astro Ship to come back home.
He kept his promise. He saved his planet and defeated Damaras.
Tommy walked to Orion and hugged the young Silver Ranger, letting him cry in relief and happiness as his home was saved from the Armada while the others looked at the screen with big smiles and a big sense of relief.
Everything will be ok. Now they knew for sure.
Astro Ship
-Jake, you got everything good and everything back. How could you think taking on Vrak by yourself was a good idea? -asked Ashley sitting down beside Andros.
-I didn't know what was going to happen and if I failed, the other could protect Earth. -said Jake, looking down-… it was a bad idea?
-It was logical but risky. -said TJ-…for a moment there we thought you died.
-And you should have seen your team. -said, Cassie.
Kendrix looked at him when Jake winced in pain as she was doing her best to take care of his wound and change his bandage.
-They were pretty affected. -said Carlos-… we were told Troy cried a lot and I didn't think that young man could cry.
-He did? -asked Jake, feeling bad.
-Yes, we also were told Noah couldn't believe it and went silent and Orion didn't separate from your morpher and cards. -said, Leo.
-And the girls were a mess. Emma tried to be there for Gia, not allowing herself to fully break down. -said, Kendrix.
-Gia was the worst. -said Ashely, looking at Jake-… that girl loves you, Jake, whatever she knows the full extension of her feelings I don't know but I've never seen someone so lifeless.
Jake looked down again, feeling extremely bad for his team when he felt Maya's arms around his shoulder as she hug the young man and looked at the other teams.
-Now he feels bad enough… let's bring him home. I'm sure they missed you a lot. -said, Maya.
Jake nodded as the Astro Ship landed as close as possible to the Command Center and the door opened, slowly, the Rangers walked one by one, and then, taking a deep breath, Jake followed them. He only hoped they weren't too mad at him.
Beach
Jason was there first and when Jake came down, Jason walked slowly toward his son. They looked at each other for a few seconds before they finally hugged each other. Jason was crying and even if he tried to hide it, a few tears ran down Jake's cheeks as he finally was able to hug his dad.
-I love you, son but I'm going to kick your ass if you do this again. -said, Jason.
-No more, dad. Next time I will make sure to leave a nice message with my location. -said, Jake.
Jason rolled his eyes and hugged his son one more time before Jake came face to face with his team. The first one to come was Troy, he was holding his emotion but Jake could see his eyes watering as he walked towards Jake and hugged his friend.
-I'm so glad you are ok… -said Troy, breaking the hug to grab Jake's face gently-… I thought I failed you.
-You could never, Troy. I know what I saw in you and you never disappointed me. -said, Jake.
Troy nodded, patting his friend's face before Noah came forward, engulfing Jake in a hug. That was the only moment the others saw Noah crying, the poor guy was shaking when Jake broke the hug to look at him.
-I'm here. It's ok…-said Jake.
-You were gone and I couldn't… I couldn't face it. -said Noah-… I couldn't…
-I know, Noah and I'm so sorry but you did great. -said Jake, putting his hands on his best friend's shoulder-… look at me, Noah. You did great.
-Please don't leave again…-said Noah-…you may be a legend by now but I don't care. I want my best friend.
-And I'll be here, right beside you. I promise. -said, Jake.
Noah was still crying but he nodded, moving to stand beside Troy that hugged him when Emma came towards Jake and punched him lightly in the stomach, taking the breath out of him before she hugged him.
-I swear to God, Jacob, if you pull one of your tricks one more time, no one will be able to help you. Do you understand? -asked Emma.
-Yes…-said Jake, making a face.
-I missed you, you idiot. -said Emma, hugging him now-…I have been trying to keep everything together but you need to help me, Jake. We are family now, if one is lost, the rest is lost too.
Jake nodded, hugging Emma, and then allowing him to stand on Troy's side, grabbing his hand. Jake looked up and saw Gia coming towards him. She wasn't crying anymore, in fact, she looked extremely serious when she stood in front of him.
-Gia…
Gia didn't let him continue as he grabbed his shirt and smashed his lips against her. She seemed almost desperate as they kissed and the other Rangers looked away, giving them some privacy as Jake and Gia let the fire consume them until they broke their kiss and Gia looked at him, touching his eyebrow gently.
-I was almost sure before this happened but I know now for sure that you are mine, Jake, and nothing or no one is going to take you away from me. -said Gia-… that's why I'm asking you, next time you have to go please don't let me behind. I almost died here when I thought you were gone, if you have to go, then go but take me with you, ok?
Jake looked at her and her eyes spoke so much about what she suffered that he could do nothing but get serious and nod, taking her face in his hands gently and kissing her again, to reassure her.
-I promise, Gia. Next time we will go together. -said, Jake.
Gia nodded and they hugged for a long time until Jake saw Orion, shyly behind them. Jake seemed confused and looked at Gia that nodded at him before she let Jake go and Orion came forward, holding Jake's morpher and cards.
-Hey, you keep them safe…-said Jake, pointing at the morpher and cards.
-You saved my planet. -whispered Orion.
Jake nodded and saw how Orion looked down, confused, Jake put a hand on Orion's shoulder and that's when the Silver Ranger jumped, hugging Jake tight as he started crying. Jake was surprised at first but then he smiled, hugging Orion.
-I would never be able to repay what you did for me and my people…-said, Orion.
-You already did. -said Jake-… you stood here, with us and fought the Armada. I may have defeated Damaras there but you, Orion. You are their hero.
Orion nodded and put Jake's morpher and cards back in his hands while he stood with the other Rangers. Jake looked at the morpher and then at his friends and smiled. He was so happy to be back home.
Gia came to stand by his side and hugged him, putting her head on his shoulder. She could feel the bandages but decided to ask about it later, for now, all she needed was to know he was here.
-How about we go home? I'm pretty sure someone wants to give me a lecture…-said, Jake.
-You bet we are. -said Kat, smiling-… but not today. Today is to celebrate you are back.
Jake smiled and kissed Gia's hair before the Rangers, veteran and new, walked towards their cars to go to Jake's house, where they would have a big celebration for Jake's return.
