Episode 20: Legendary Battle
The full team of Lightspeed Rescue appeared at the scene with Joel, Kelsey, Chad, and Ryan were evacuating civilians when Carter and Dana spotted Gia and Emma near the ruins of a building, running towards them, Carter quickly made room with Joel so Kelsey and Ryan could get them and Dana check first Emma and then Gia while Chad took control of the situation and sent civilians towards the refuge.
-Are they ok? -asked Kelsey.
-They should be waking up soon. They probably lost conscience when they fell from the zord. -said, Dana.
-That was a hard fall. I don't see the rest of the team around. -said, Joel.
-Probably they fell in different directions -said Ryan-… I contact the others and let them know the situation.
Carter nodded, allowing Ryan to step away while he knelt beside his wife and looked at both girls starting to wake up. Emma had a deep cut on her forehead but she seemed to be aware of her surroundings Gia's ear was bleeding she was more worried about Emma than she was about herself.
-Easy…-said Kelsey to Gia-… you are in no condition to push yourself now.
-The others… Jake…-whispered Gia.
-The other Rangers are looking for them now breath…-said Dana, calmly.
Emma tried to get up but she winced and was helped by Joel and Carter to sit down, she and Gia looked at each other before Dana, carefully patched Emma's forehead, and then, cleaned Gia's ears then she smiled at them and looked at her team.
-They will be fine but is better if we bring them to the Command Center. I'm sure the others will bring the other Rangers there if they are not already there. -said, Dana.
-You are right… let's go -said Carter-… Chad, and Joel, stay here and send people to the refuge, meet us when the area is clear.
-Got it. -said, Joel.
Carter and Ryan helped Gia and Emma up and along with Kelsey and Dana, they moved towards their vehicle, which they would use to bring the girls to the Command Center, hopefully, they could recover there and be ready to continue their fight.
Far from them, on the other side of the mountain, the Lost Galaxy and Space Rangers ran into the tunnels, where they instructed people to run towards the refuge when they found, Troy, Noah, and Orion on the ground.
-That doesn't look good…-said Carlos.
The Rangers ran and looked up, probably the fight opened a hole in the tunnels and the Rangers were unlucky enough to fall inside the hole. Leo and Andros reached Troy first while Maya and Cassie ran towards Noah and Damon and TJ got to Orion.
-Troy… hey, Troy… -called Leo.
-C'mon, Troy. Wake up. -called Andros.
Troy started to move and slowly, opened his eyes. His head was hurting and he could feel a bump start from on the back of his head but other than that, he seemed fine, not far from them, Cassie gave Noah his glasses while Maya smiled at him. Noah seemed to be ok, with a few bruises but nothing important, and Orion was already standing between Damon and TJ.
-What happened…? -asked Troy as Andros and Leo helped him to get up.
-Your Megazord fell and you all must have been throwing out. -said Ashley-… are you hurt?
-No… wait…
Troy share a look with Noah and Orion as the memories came to them and quickly, they looked up towards the hole, remembering Jake using his powers to protect them before the Megazord fell but Jake… he was still inside.
-Jake was on the Megazord when we got out…-said Orion.
-He could still be there! We have to look for him!
Noah tried to run but Carlos and Kai grabbed his arms and stopped him before he could go too far. They shared a look with the other Rangers, there were members of the Armada out there and they couldn't risk losing anyone else.
-Let me go! -said, Noah.
-No, Noah, we have to go to the Command Center. We all are here to help and there is another team looking for Jake or maybe Jake is already there. -said, Carlos.
-We got confirmation Emma and Gia went there. -said Kendrix, trying to keep the peace-… maybe Jake is there too.
-And what if he is not? We can't just stand by and watch. -said, Troy.
-And we won't. -said Karone-… but running into danger is not going to find Jake or save this planet. We have to be united now more than ever, Rangers, and remember, your duty will always be to fight for those who can't defend themselves.
-That's what we all fight for. -said, Andros.
Troy looked down and Noah stopped fighting as the Lost Galaxy and Space Rangers guided them outside the tunnel hoping that, for some reason, Jake would be back at the Command Center because only together, they would be able to put an end to this madness for good.
Ruins Of The Megazord
Tommy, Wes, Jason, Conner, and Mike ran into the ruins after leaving their teams guiding civilians looking for Jake. The last piece of information sent by Andros worried them and since they were the closest team, they decided to take it upon themselves to find the Green Ranger.
But when they arrived, they saw nothing but X-Borgs searching the area, probably trying to find the Rangers. Tommy shared a look with the other Rangers and nodded, there was only one way to clear the area to look for Jake and that was fighting.
-Everybody ready? This is not going to be easy. -said, Tommy.
-What? Are you getting old, Dr. O? -asked Conner, with a smirk.
-He is old. He just doesn't like to acknowledge it. -said, Jason.
Tommy rolled his eyes but smiled when all the Rangers with him got up. Grabbing or raising their morphers as they prepared for battle.
-Let's do it! -said, Wes-… Time For! Time Force!
-Go! Go! Samurai! -screamed Mike.
-Dino Thunder! Power Up! Ha! -screamed Conner.
Jason and Tommy looked at each other and one beside the other grabbed their morpher coins to call the powers they left behind so long ago.
-It's Morphing Time! -screamed Jason and Tommy.
Both of them transformed into their respective suit and made their posture before screaming at their animals, the ones that helped them in the past and that now, come back to save the planet one more time.
-Tyrannosaurus! -screamed Red.
-White Tiger! -screamed White.
The Rangers ran towards the X-Borgs with their weapons, ready to give it all to save the young man than may be under the ruins of a Megazord that gave up everything to save the city for the last time.
Command Center
When Troy, Orion, and Noah arrived, they were happy to see so many Rangers helping on taking control of the situation, somewhere fighting, others were calculating, planning, and healing their wounds. When Emma saw them, she ran towards Troy and hugged him tight for several minutes before they broke the hug and kissed.
-Are you ok? -asked Emma.
-Yeah… you? -whispered Troy.
Emma nodded and then hugged again while Gia hugged Orion and Noah then, Emma did the same and Gia hugged Troy but they quickly felt, there was one member of their team still missing and the Rangers worried.
-Jason's team was near the location where the Megazord fell. -explained Emma-…I'm sure they will find him soon.
That's when Orion noticed something was odd and looked toward Gosei. The light in his eyes was gone and he wondered if he wasn't there to guide them like many other times, when the others saw Orion looking at him, Troy and Noah looked confused while Emma looked away and Gia let out a sad sigh before she looked at her team.
-Kimberly explained to us that… the only way for some of the Rangers to regain their powers and help came because Gosei used his vital energy to give them power… -said Gia-… He sacrificed himself so we could have as much help as we could for this fight.
The Rangers looked down, heartbroken as their mentor was lost but knowing his sacrifice would never be wasted as they had new conviction they were going to win this war, for Gosei and the people on this planet.
They won't give up. No matter what.
-Gosei and Jake gave us these powers but none of them are here now. -said Troy, taking the leadership-… I know is hard and I know we may not make it out alive but Rangers, this is it. This is what we fought for, this is the reason why they gave us these powers and we can't let them down.
He grabbed his morpher and looked at his team, one by one, the Rangers grabbed their morphers and raised them, while the other Rangers looked at them with smiles, finally the new Rangers realized this is their call, their destiny.
And they could win if they believe in themselves.
-Rangers! Ready! -screamed Troy-. Super Megaforce!
-Super Megaforce! -screamed the Rangers.
The Rangers morphed into the Super Megaforce Rangers and got ready for the fight but before they could get out, they heard someone coughing and turned to see several Rangers standing behind them, smiling and grabbing their morphers.
-Don't think you are doing this alone. -said, Kimberly-… Rangers! Ready!
-Ready! -screamed the Rangers.
One by one, the Super Megaforce Rangers saw every Ranger in front of them morphing, all the Rangers before them, ready to assist them and give them the help they desperately needed to win this fight. Red Super Megaforce nodded, turning around, and raising his sword.
-Together! We will win this war! -screamed Red Super Megaforce.
-Together!
All the Rangers teleported to different areas to start the fight that will determine the peace of the world or the conquest of the aliens.
Ruins Of The Megazord
It didn't take long for the Rangers to clear the area but as soon as they finished them, more X-Borgs came in, obviously, the fight attracted more but Red Mighty Morphing was starting to get frustrated as all he wanted was to look for his son.
-These are worse than the one we fought years ago! -said Red Mighty Morphing.
-You tell me! -said White Mighty Morphing.
Red Time Force used his blaster to defeat some of them and then Dino Red and Green Samurai combined their sword and staff to defeat others, finally opening a path that will lead them into the ruins of the Megazord.
-We can get into the Megazord through here! -called Red Time Force.
-Quickly! -said Dino Red.
Red and White Mighty Morphing ran towards them when suddenly, two Elite Guardians appeared and pushed Red and White Mighty Morphing to the floor, raising their staffs to attack when a Greenlight hit them and suddenly, Green Super Megaforce appeared, jumping between them, and using his sword to stop the staff from coming down.
-Get away from them!
A white and green light hit the Elite Guardians, defeating them before Green Super Megaforce fell to his knees as the other Ranger surrounded him, happy to see him alive until they saw more X-Borgs coming towards them.
-Well… the show is not over. -said Green Samurai.
-They want war? Let's give them war. -said Green Super Megaforce.
Green Super Megaforce and Red Mighty Morphing ran in the front with White Mighty Morphing and Red Time Force behind them and Dino Red and Green Samurai behind. They all jumped at the same time and using their weapons, they started to take down X-Borgs.
At one point, Green Super Megaforce looked up, toward Emperor Mavro's Ship and looked at his father. His father was a legend and this would be a chance to fight by his side and save the planet.
-Hey, dad! -said Green Super Megaforce-… what about attacking the main ship!? That's where Emperor Mavro must be!
-I'm right behind you, son! But how are we going to get there!? -asked Red Mighty Morphing.
Green Super Megaforce grabbed a key from his belt and showed it to his father, the Red Mighty Morphing Ranger nodded, and then, Green raised the key and his device.
-Let's rock it! -screamed Green Super Megaforce.
Green Super Megaforce transformed into the Black Space Ranger and called for his galaxy glider then, he jumped at it and extended his hand to his father that quickly took it before he called over the White Mighty Morphing Ranger.
-Finish this and reunite with the others, Tommy! We will be back! -screamed the Red Mighty Morphing Ranger.
Before the White Mighty Morphing Ranger could say something, they left towards the main ship, flying, and destroying as many ships as they could in their path.
Plaza
The Rangers were fighting non-stop against the advancing troops of X-Borgs and Elite Guardians that tried to get past their defenses but lucky for them, they have generations of Rangers behind them to help them.
-This planet is not yours to take! -said the Red Super Megaforce Rangers-… Don't stop fighting!
-Never! -said Red LightSpeed Rescue Ranger-… we will save this planet at any cost!
-Samurais! Defend! -screamed Red Samurai.
The Rangers fought back-to-back, each color together to bring down X-Borgs and Elite Guardians until a roar was heard and the Rangers saw a flash of Red light appearing in front of them, taking several X-Borgs out.
-Triassic Power!
Dino Red appeared using his Triassic power to clean the area with Green Samurai that slashed two Elite Guardians, not far from them, Red Time Force and White Mighty Morphing appeared too, using Saba and the sword of the Red Battle Warrior from the Red Time Force Ranger.
They cleared the area quickly and then ran towards the others, reuniting with them as Dino Red and Red Time force lowered their power.
-Hey, where are Jase and Jake? -asked Pink Mighty Morphing.
-Ah… -said White Mighty Morphing.
-I think they are up there…-said Red Time Force, pointing to the sky.
The Rangers looked up, where several ships exploded and a collective sigh was heard as, again Jake was in trouble, this time with his father helping him.
Emperor Mavro's Ship
Black Space Ranger turned back to Green Super Megaforce as soon as they landed and he and Red Mighty Morphing stormed into the main control room, where Emperor Mavro was watching the fight, as soon as he saw them, Mavro got up and called for his staff.
-So you are the Ranger who killed my sons… -said, Emperor Mavro.
-And you are the coward who hides behind them to conquer our planet. -said Green Super Megaforce, raising his sword.
-Coward? Child, you know nothing about war.
-And you know nothing about honor. -said Red Mighty Morphing-… a father always fights by his son's side.
Green Super Megaforce nodded and both stood beside each other, swords raises as Mavro ran towards them, trying to use his staff, they blocked it but Mavro was strong and send them flying to the ground, luckily, the years of training made both Rangers roll on their backs and get back up, blocking Mavro's attack.
-I destroyed planets before yours… what makes you different from the people that lived in them!? -asked Mavro.
-I don't know…-growled Green Super Megaforce-… what I know is that we don't give up!
Emperor Mavro hit them with the staff but the Rangers quickly got up and Red Mighty Morphing, threw his sword to Green Super Megaforce and jumped, kicking Emperor Mavro then, Red Mighty Morphing moved away and Green Super Megaforce took a deep breath, his sword and his father's sword shining with green and red light.
-Do it now, Jake! -screamed Red Mighty Morphing.
Green Super Megaforce ran towards Emperor Mavro and attack him with a powerful double slash that hit the Emperor and send him flying towards the controls, electrocuting him as the Emperor's Ship started to explode.
-We have to get out of here! -said Red Mighty Morphing.
Green Super Megaforce nodded, using the Black Space key again, they both jumped in the galaxy glider and flew out of the ship as it exploded, putting an end to Emperor Mavro's life, or at least, that's what they think because they don't see Emperor Mavro dragging himself to the teleport and getting out before the ship explodes.
Beach
The Rangers look up when the main ship explodes and wait until they see the galaxy glider land on the ground then, Red Mighty Morphing jump and Black Space Ranger does the same as he goes back to his Green Super Megaforce suit.
The Rangers ran towards them, happy to see them when they hear a noise and turn around, more X-Borgs is coming towards them and someone else, someone Green Super Megaforce and Red Mighty Morphing thought they defeated.
-Mavro? He is still alive? -asked Green Super Megaforce.
-He must have escaped from the ship before it exploded… -said Red Mighty Morphing.
Green Super Megaforce turned around and looked at every Ranger in front of him, this was it, this was the end whatever they won or not, will be decided on this beach, today. He looked at Red Super Megaforce and he nodded, giving Green Super Megaforce the chance to lead them.
-Rangers… I wouldn't be here today if is not for all of you. You all teach me how to fight, how to be a good person, how to protect my planet and the universe… -said Green Super Megaforce-… today, all those teachings come to this point where we have to come together to defend the planet one more time but I have the faith no matter what we will win because if I learn something from you all is that…
He turned to the X-Borgs and Emperor Mavro and raised his sword.
-… A Ranger! Never Surrenders!
The Rangers screamed and ran towards the X-Borgs, starting a fight where the Rangers quickly got the upper hand and defeated X-Borgs, at one point, Red Super Megaforce stood face to face against Mavro as he jumped on the Emperor before the Emperor could reach Green Super Megaforce.
-Step away and I will kill you quickly later, Ranger! -said Emperor Mavro.
-No! If you want Jake, you are going to have to kill me first!
Red Super Megaforce and Emperor Mavro clash their swords as they try to get control of the battle but Mavro seems superior as he kicks Red on the knee and forces him to the ground then, Mavro kicks Red in the face and Red falls to the ground, losing his sword.
-I told you to stay away!
-Red! -screamed Blue Super Megaforce.
Red looked as Mavro raised his head and for a second, believed his life was over until an image came to his mind. His first dream, when…
-Let my friend go!
Red remembers in horror how a shadow takes Mavro off of him and they roll to the ground, towards the cliff as they fight, clashing their weapons, this time, he is not dizzy or confused so he can look at Green Super Megaforce fighting Mavro with everything he has.
Green Super Megaforce hits Mavro's staff, taking it from his hands but Mavro doesn't give up and he runs towards Green grabbing his waist and then, the same thing that happened in Red's dreams happens here and he sees Green and Mavro fall off the cliff.
-No!
Yellow screams, falling to her knees and Red stands there in shock until he quickly drags himself to the cliff and looks down, there is nothing… nothing… like in his dream… both fell and…
Behind him, the X-Borgs started to fall to the ground, defeated now their leader was gone but that didn't matter because Jake fell with them and if Red's dreams were true then… Red got up, looking at his hands.
He killed Green. He…
-AGH! -screamed Red.
Under The Water
Jake lost his morph as soon as he hit the water, it hurt but it didn't make him pass out at least until Mavro grabbed his throat and tried to choke him, luckily, Jake wasn't alone and a white light grew inside him.
His eyes turned to gold as he grabbed Mavro's hand.
-You have no place in this world, Mavro. This fight is over.
Jake used his power, putting a hand on Mavro's face and to the alien's surprise, he felt the power a second before he disappeared, finally being defeated while Jake looked at him for the last time.
This was it. It was over.
Not yet, Jake. This just starts.
Bastro's voice seemed sad but Jake didn't pay attention as he rushed to get to the surface and celebrate with the others that finally, this war was over and now, they could have a happy life like they always wanted.
He didn't even imagine what he was going to find when he hit the surface.
SPD Headquarters (Year 2025)
Commander Kruger turns towards his cadets. Jack, Sky, Bridge, Z, and Sydney seem nervous as they wait for the news of their Commander but they remain stoic. The room where they wait has so much history that no one except them has access to it.
-Is it time, Rangers…-said, Kruger.
The Rangers nodded and they looked around the room, protected under crystals, generations of Rangers sleep, ready to wake up when the time came for them to unclose the true mystery of the SPD Academy and their founders.
Beach (Year 2014)
Jake surfaced from the water with a smile, waiting to see his friends and family but when got closer to them, all he saw were bodies on the floor and a Ranger in the shadows, walking away as he collected their energy in several spheres that he had around him.
Jake looked confused when he felt a pulse and his eyes glow gold.
That is my enemy, Jake and now, it's yours too.
The Ranger opened a portal and was about to get through it when he turned around and looked at Jake, that was the first time Jake could see his face or better said his skull.
He calls himself the Death Ranger…
The Ranger disappeared while Jake went back to normal and ran towards the other Rangers on the ground. He knelt beside Gia and carefully, lifted her body in his arms as he tried to wake her up.
-Gia… hey… c'mon, Gia wake up…-said Jake as his voice started to break-… please, Gia wake up, please… I love you…
Jake kissed her face and her hair as he started crying, looking around at his friends and team, his family. His dad, Kat, Tommy… all of them were gone. Jake felt his rage grow as he hugged Gia closer and felt the guilt eating him until he looked at the sky and as tears fell down his cheek, he screamed.
A white light emerged from him and went up the sky as it started to rain, almost as if Earth was suffering as much as Jake was.
This was the end… or maybe it was only the start.
