Summary: A short little poem about what it means for Squall to be a commander and why he chooses to isolate himself from his emotions.

FROZEN SOLID

I'm frozen

My emotions have run dry

It's not a choice I made

More like my alibi

Commanders cannot grieve

Over the innocent who die

We do only what we have to

There's no time for asking 'Why?'

We convince ourselves we're right

We feed ourselves a lie

Because armies can't have soldiers

Breaking down to cry

Over fallen comrades

When it's time to say goodbye

Author's Note: Yes, another poem. I don't think this one is nearly as good as my other one, but I hope you liked it nonetheless. Btw, thank you to everyone who reviewed Hidden Heartache; I was pleasantly surprised by the response I got for that one. Anyway, the poem is pretty self explanatory I think, but if you have any questions or anything, feel free to leave them in a review or email me (deathbysuffication yahoo . com).
