DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER.

Bellatrix and Abhimanyu were sitting on the couch perpendicular to the window and silently holding hands.

The others had all gone to bed, but the two were still awake.

Finally, Bellatrix broke the silence, looking at Abhimanyu with eyes almost full of tears and spoke softly, "I'm sorry."

Abhimanyu held her hands and asked, "What do you mean?"

Bellatrix looked at him, holding his hands and softly cried out, "Don't you understand? I broke up with you, I was mean, I was rude; I was cruel to you! How, I mean, didn't you, you know, hate me? Didn't you want to find someone else who could be nicer to you than me? Didn't you, just want to put me behind? How is it that you came for me, just like that?!"

Abhimanyu held her and explained, "I was heartbroken that day when you broke up with me. I, I don't want to hurt you, but to be honest, I really felt like you had betrayed me. I was upset, really upset. My mom was the only one who actually thought you might have been forced to break up with me. Elizabeth Aunty tried to get me to move on and find someone else, but I didn't want to. I didn't want to be with anyone other than you. You are a wonderful, beautiful, fierce, woman, you've always been one. You were the love of my life, and I just couldn't imagine being with anyone else, from the time you first told me that you loved me. When Andromeda, Narcissa and Lucius told me that Rodolphus was going to marry you, I thought you had chosen him, but then they told me the truth about it all, that you had been forced to break up with me, and that you didn't want to marry Rodolphus, that you, you chose me. I, I, just couldn't believe that! It was totally unexpected. But when I knew that you were going to be forcibly married off to him, I just couldn't leave you there. I had to do something! I, I was prepared to die if I had to, to save you. And then, you told your father about you and me."

Bellatrix looked at him for a long time and whispered, "You truly love me."

She then paused and asked, "Can we start over again?"

Abhimanyu held her hands and replied, "Of course we can Bella; I love you."

He then pulled her up and they walked up the stairs.

When they reached the top, they looked out of a window just opposite, into the night sky and then, leaned towards each other.

Bellatrix turned to face Abhimanyu, and he turned to face her back.

And then, she pulled him into a kiss, a long one.

Afterwards, Abhimanyu whispered, "Bella, I love you."

Bellatrix replied, "I love you, Abhimanyu."

They then went back to the living room and sat back down on the couch.

They sat there, leaning against each other.

Abhimanyu whispered, "Do you still want to eat me?"

Bellatrix looked at him evilly and whispered, "Come here, lie in my lap like a baby, and then I shall tear you apart and gobble you up."

With that, she pulled him into her lap and began to draw her nails across him, making all sorts of evil sounds, whispering of course, and then pretended to eat him.

She then kissed his forehead and whispered, "Sleep like a baby in my lap."

Abhimanyu sat up and wrapped his arms around her saying, "You are so fierce sometimes Bella."

Bellatrix glared playfully at him and whispered, "Oh yes I am!"

Suddenly, she gripped his shoulders and fiercely spoke, "Abhimanyu, if something happens to me and I somehow lose myself and end up joining the Dark Lord, I want you to kill me!"

Abhimanyu looked at her, shocked by her statement and spluttered, "Bu… But Bella, you'd never, I, I can't, I…"

Bellatrix cut him off hissing, "You have to kill me if I join him! Otherwise, I'll end up killing you, or Andromeda, or Narcissa, or who knows. I want you to promise to kill me if I should end up joining the Dark Lord! Promise that you will kill me! Do it now!"

Abhimanyu looked at her for a few moments, not knowing what to say.

Finally, he spoke slowly, but firmly, "I am not going to kill you! But I can surely promise you this. I will do everything I can to protect you, even if I have to save you from yourself. And if you do end up joining Voldemort, I will do everything I can to save you from yourself, even if it costs me my life!"

"Abhimanyu," Bellatrix softly cried out as she flung herself onto him, "How can you be so reckless, so sweet, so caring?!"

Abhimanyu whispered, "You helped me with my NEWTs and defended me from those Lestranges and Avril. You helped me to become who I am today. I never would have been able to fend off the Dark Lord for that long and live, if it hadn't been for you."

Bellatrix whispered, "This is true love. You really do love me. You don't care about the fact that I broke up with you before, that I was rude to you, and that I'm disowned now and can't provide any wealth or anything that a girl from a rich family should bring when she gets married to…"

Abhimanyu whispered firmly, "I don't care about it. I love you for who you are. If I were to care about riches, or simply external beauty, it would not be love at all, it would be mere lust. In true love, there is no distance, no hatred. There is no two in true love, there is only one."

"No distance, no hatred," Bellatrix whispered, "But we still see each other as two."

Abhimanyu replied, "It's true. As long as there is that notion that I am the body or some small limited thing, that the world and everything we see around us is real, we will always see everything as separate. But when we realize our true nature, that is pure consciousness, then we only see everything in us, in the self, and we see the self in everything. Then there is no two or three or four, there is only one.

Sarvabhootasthamaatmaanam sarvabhootaani chaatmani;

Eekshate yogayuktaatmaa sarvatra samadarshanah.

With the mind harmonised by Yoga, a self realized person sees the 'Self' abiding in all beings and all beings in the 'Self'; he sees the same everywhere.

(Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 6, verse 29)"

Bellatrix said, "Your mother taught you a lot about the Gita, but we're not self realized beings. We're mortals. We have desire for each other. We just want to be happy in this world. That's all we really care about."

Abhimanyu replied, "It is true, but that does not mean we can't try to not hate anyone, at least not for petty reasons. It is possible to try and love others for who they are, not just because of external beauty. Seeing other's pain as our own; but of course, being mortal, there's only so much we can do. The closest I've known in my life is my mother when it comes to empathy; my father too."

Bellatrix said, "That's true. But unlike yours, my parents just disowned me simply because I wasn't perfect the way they wanted me to be, simply because I love you. I don't think I can forgive my parents for what they did to me, and to you."

Abhimanyu frowned upon hearing that and said, "I don't think I can either."

He then turned to her and asked, "If they were to come and say sorry, would you forgive them?"

Bellatrix replied bitterly, "Like they ever would! They will never follow anything but their pureblood mania. But if they do, which I can't imagine happening, I doubt I can. And if somehow, I do, it's going to take a long time for that."

Abhimanyu replied, "I understand. I pretty much feel the same way."

Bellatrix said, "Now, the Dark Lord will want to murder us, destroy us all, especially you, and me, that is, if he doesn't still feel he can turn me."

Abhimanyu hugged her and replied, "We will get through this. We'll fight together, and god willing, we will win!"

Abhimanyu then said, "Bella, there's just one more thing I want to ask you."

Bellatrix said, "What is it?"

Abhimanyu held her hands and asked, "Bellatrix Black, will you marry me?"

Bellatrix widened her eyes and threw her arms around him saying, "Yes, I will marry you!"

With that, she pulled him into a fierce kiss.

After the kiss, they held each other, and soon, they were fast asleep on the couch.

Bellatrix found herself in a dark forest, surrounded by figures in black, all laughing demonically as they looked upon two figures kneeling before her.

She looked at the figures.

One was a small bushy brown haired girl, and the other was a small raven haired boy, both looking up in fear.

And then, Bellatrix heard the voice of Lord Voldemort hissing, "Kill the girl. Do it now!"

Bellatrix looked at the girl, who began to cry in fear.

The boy joined her.

And then, Bellatrix heard Voldemort hissing, "Kill them or I shall do it!"

Suddenly, she heard Abhimanyu's voice, "No, don't do this! Listen to me! You're not yourself!"

Bellatrix clutched her head and screamed, "NO! LEAVE ME!"

And then suddenly, everything changed.

Everything seemed to be silent.

She opened her eyes, but instead of a dark forest, she was standing on a beach.

It was evening and the sun was setting into the ocean.

Bellatrix took a few steps forward.

And then she saw something.

It was a figure, a woman, dressed in white.

Bellatrix walked towards the figure out of curiosity, until she was right next to her.

And then, the woman turned to look at her.

Bellatrix at once felt something inside her warming up.

This woman was dark, with a nose ring, and had a smiling face.

And then, the woman spoke, "Don't worry my darling daughter. Mother is with you. Kiss, kiss, kiss."

Abhimanyu found himself in the midst of a fierce battle.

It was dark, and it seemed like the battle was in Hogwarts itself, in the middle of the night.

He could hear screams and cries everywhere as Death Eaters attacked here and there.

And then, he heard a horrible female laugh.

He looked ahead and there in front of him, stood Bellatrix, laughing evilly.

She looked at him with an evil smile and spoke haughtily, "He he he, I am going to kill you, dear Mudblood! And then, the Dark Lord shall rejoice your death! Come, death awaits you!"

Abhimanyu cried out, "Bellatrix, this isn't you! Listen to me! Please just…"

And then, he saw Voldemort standing right next to her.

Lord Voldemort had a pale frightening face, with snake like nostrils and blood red eyes.

And then he spoke, "You fool. You cannot do anything, Pandey. She is mine to command. She serves none other than me! Now, Bellatrix, kill him!"

Suddenly, everything changed.

There was no longer any battle, but now Abhimanyu was sitting on a beach.

It was twilight.

And then he saw a woman, dark, dressed in a white saree, sitting right in front of him.

And then the woman spoke, "Don't worry my darling son! Mother is with you! Kiss, kiss, kiss."

Meanwhile, somewhere in the village of Parayakadavu, in Kerala, India, in a grove filled with coconut trees, near the seashore, a young woman in a white blouse and skirt sat in meditation.

Her eyes were closed.

This young woman was very unique, and considered strange.

The problem was that very few could understand her.

When her mother had given birth to her, she had not cried like other babies, but had smiled.

She had begun to walk and talk at the age of six months, and had been composing songs in the name of Lord Krishna since the age of four.

She had only been able to attend school till fourth grade. After that, she had had to drop out, as her mother had fallen ill and could not manage the household work.

She had always had compassion towards others, and had gone out of her way to give something to help the poor and ailing, once even giving her mother's gold earring at the cost of a beating.

She had faced opposition from several members of her family for her devotional singing and meditating at night, yet had not been affected by it at all.

Her mind was fully immersed in devotion towards lord Krishna.

Currently, she was still sitting.

And then, she opened her eyes and smiled, a benign smile.
