AN: I cannot thank the amazingly talented BellaSpirita enough for yanking this down to 100 words. I tried, tried, and tried again… To no avail. She is amazingly talented, and the Les Mis section of fanfiction is most definitely suffering a huge blow. They shot themselves in the foot, really.
Now, everybody remember when Valjean used to kiss Cosette's hand, and she would withdraw? Hugo says that this is because she didn't know what a kiss was. But maybe she had the wrong idea… And the AN's are officially longer than the fic!
Once, 'Ponine saw a man bend over a lady's hand and put his mouth on her skin. The lady smiled and blinked like she had something in her eyes. I thought that was strange, but the lady looked happy.
'Ponine did that to 'Zelma, like the man did. 'Zelma acted happy like the lady.
'Ponine said that was a kiss, and asked if I wanted one. I thought it would make me happy. I said yes.
It didn't make me happy; the kiss hurt because 'Ponine's teeth took lots of my skin away.
Now I know that kisses are bad.
