Chapter Seventeen: Three TEENs in a Ship...
Mace rubbed his forehead, as if he was feeling a headache coming on. Then again, he probably was getting one. I nodded in agreement to what Ahsoka was suggesting we do to pass time. "Ezra... I don't think you three should do that."
We glanced at each other, grins crossing our features. Sabine leaned back, a smirk crossing her features. "I think we really want to do it."
Mace groaned at that, looking as if he needed to lie down or something. "Fine. But do NOT come to me when this backs fire on you."
"It won't!" We giggled before darting out of the room. We had some fun to break up this monotonous trip back to Coruscant.
~Mace's POV, Three Hours Later~
I flipped through my paperwork, already feeling myself somewhat relaxing against the chair that I was sitting in. So far the teens plans to demonstrate why the Specters have a certain rule appeared to be fairly harmless. At least, the only clone that has approached me was a bewildered Rex. I had been quick to assure the captain that no, the ship isn't being haunted, that it was just the teens burning off excessive energy.
"Mace! We got a massive problem!" Anakin came sprinting into the office, a grinning Ahsoka right behind him.
I debated on throwing the children under the bus... but I could sense that both Ezra and Sabine were having a great deal of fun with this prank. "What's wrong?"
"We're being haunted!" I struggled not to break out laughing at that declaration.
Turning my attention back to my paperwork, I hummed in understanding. "I'm sure it's not as bad as you think. Spectra Phantom is most likely merely bored out of her mind."
"Who now?" Ahsoka squeaked out, eyes widening in shock that I would not only encourage this, but come up with a name for their ghost.
"Spectra Phantom. She's been haunting this ship for a while now." To prove this, I subtly used the force to nudge a potted plant closer to the edge of the counter. "There she goes again."
Ahsoka clapped a hand over her mouth, struggling to keep her laughter contained. I easily kept my expression completely straight. Anakin gawked at me, looking between the two of us as if we were both crazy. "I'm gonna get...someone that hasn't completely lost it."
I placed a tray full of food in front of Ezra, who appeared to be startled by something that had Sabine rolling her eyes. At least the two of them didn't appear to be too concerned about the whole captured by Jedi. Then again, maybe they preferred that over dealing with whatever punishment their Sith master, who also apparently is their dad, could come up with. Or it could be a case that I'm letting them prank everyone else into thinking that the ship was haunted. "You need to eat."
"You sound like Hera." Ezra grumbled under his breath, before pulling the tray closer to him. "This is way too much food. Want some Sabine."
"Yes please. I'm starving." The two Sith siblings proceeded to dig in, seemingly undisturbed about sharing a tray.
I shook my head as I watched them, using the force to check their emotional wellbeing. They appeared to be doing okay. They were both content simply being with each other. I also picked up that they were nervous about something, but figured it had mostly had to do with the fact that we were taking them to the Jedi Temple... and according to Yoda Palpatine wanted to meet them, this time in the Temple.
"We'll arrive soon. I suggest telling Knight Skywalker about the prank before then." I actually felt disappointed that the prank had to end so soon. The clones were especially hilarious to watch, they were looking over their shoulders to see if they couldn't spot the ghost.
Groans escaped the two upon hearing that, both of them slumping forward at that. "I'm not telling Ahsoka that the prank's over." Sabine declared as she nestled her chin into her hand.
~Ezra's POV~
I really wouldn't mind keeping the prank going. Especially since it was Ahsoka's idea after I explained to her and Sabine, and Mace since he was there, why Kanan and Hera made that rule about tricking people into thinking their ships were being haunted. It had been great, no one was actively looking for me alongside of the supposed ghost. It was all the ghost, and even then there was three of us, four if you counted that one time Mace did it in front of Ahsoka, instead of one. Of course that meant that people were being haunted by the ghost at the same time on opposite sides of the ship at times.
I bounced my leg as I waited for Kix to clear Sabine so that we could do something other than sit around bored out of our minds now that the prank was done with. "Okay, I guess as long as you're careful we really shouldn't see you in a medbay for a while."
"Awesome! Come on Ez!" Sabine just about bolted out of the medbay, a grin flashing across her features.
I scrambled after her, an idea on something for us to do spinning around in my mind. Of course, I was smart and didn't say anything out loud about it, Sabine never could understand why I loved learning new things so much. "'Bine! Slow down!"
Sabine merely laughed, leading me through the ships long halls before finally stopping at one of the training centers on board. I peeked into the room to see that it was Anakin and Ahsoka, training together. They actually kind of looked really cool. "Whoa..."
"What are you two up to now?" Mace appeared behind us, planting a hand on each of our shoulders respectively.
I bit my bottom lip to prevent myself from blurting out that apparently he trained Kanan's master making him our Great-Grandmaster. "No idea. She dragged me here." I jabbed a finger at my sister.
Sabine rolled her eyes at that, before turning back to face the sparring session. "Man, I wish I could fight like that."
I frowned at that, glancing curiously over at our two fellow Jedis. They were flipping all over the place, flicking their blades just so, blocking each other. Truth be told, I've never even seen Kanan flip around so much while sparring or fighting for that matter. "I don't think Kanan's ever fought like that before." Hums of agreement was all that I got from her. Maybe when he was younger, before the Jedi were outlawed he fought like that.
A/N: Done! Sorry took me a while... my brain refused to figure out what to do with this chapter. So I told my fingers to go at it. Now you have this. Didn't really go into details about the prank... but you get the idea. Also Mace had fun with the prank.
Reviews:
catlovingmermaid: Did one better... a reenactment of the haunted ship!
juanvilumbrales: Sure? Not entirely sure what you mean. But ya sure.
ereeseus: Thank you! Also, I wouldn't worry too much about how they get home. It'll happen eventually.
