Madame Spook, the Jocklin sisters, the Ghoul Girls, and the Bad Guys walked back to Spookelton Castle. But Snare-oh and Blitzwolfer accompanied them as well. Snare-oh was walking behind the group, making sure the Bad Guys didn't try anything criminal while everyone's backs were turned. Meanwhile, Blitzwolfer walked in between Rachel and Sasha for protection as well.
The Bad Guys didn't blame them at all.
"So, you guys came here when you caught Inspector #13?" asked Rachel.
Blitzwolfer nodded. "Yep. We went through the files of all his clients and found Marmalade's name. So, we tracked down the Techadon he ordered and that's when we found you with the Bad Guys."
"But what I don't understand is why Marmalade would even purchase a customized Techadon suit when he has an army of brainwashed monsters to back him up." said Sasha.
"Simple. It's a classic case of coward's insurance." Wolf answered. "He tried the same plan before with a meteorite to mind-control guinea pigs to steal his own charity funds. But that plan backfired. So, when he found a spell to mind-control monsters, he was all for it. But thinking his plan might backfire again, he bought that crazy robot suit to protect himself."
"Makes sense to me." said Rachel.
Everyone arrived at Spookelton Castle. Once they entered, they were surprised to see Esmerelda waiting for them. "Rachel! Sasha! I saw what happened on my crystal ball!" The psychic ran over to the girls and embraced them. "I just got back from Salem to perform an emergency seance! Thank the stars you're both okay!"
Rachel smiled. "We are. And the Bad Guys are safe too."
Esmerelda looked over to the Bad Guys. They smiled and waved to the fortune teller. "Safe?" The psychic sounded confused.
"Yeah, we saved them from Professor Marmalade just like you predicted." said Sasha.
"Marmalade? You mean that strange fur goblin that cast a forbidden spell on the townsfolk?" Esmerelda questioned. "That's not what I predicted."
The room became deadly silent.
"WHAT?!" shouted the Jocklin Sisters and the Bad Guys.
"But you said that something wicked was coming for them!" Rachel replied. "A dark cloud of malevolence!"
"Yes, but I didn't say that the fur goblin was the dark cloud." Esmerelda reminded. "Don't you remember what your tea leaves said?"
"Tea leaves?" asked Wolf. "You mean, reading tea leaves is a thing?"
Rachel took out her phone and showed Wolf the pictures of the sisters' tea leaves. One shaped like a clawed hand and the other one shaped like a wolf's head. "These were the signs we found in our teacups and Esmerelda said they were connected. Mine was the haunted hand, which is a sign of great danger and Sasha's tea leaves were shaped like your head. Then Esmerelda predicted that you guys were in danger by someone or something!"
Esmerelda nodded. "Exactly. And that someone or something is portrayed in Sasha's teacup."
"WHAAAAT?!" Everyone shouted.
"You mean Wolf is gonna kill us?!" Shark said, on the verge of total panic. The animals backed away from their visibly stunned friend.
Wolf was in disbelief by his friends' reactions. "What?! No! You guys, I'm not gonna kill anyone! This is ridiculous!"
"Oh, yeah?" Snake snapped. "Well, if it's not your head Sasha saw in that teacup, then who's-"
Suddenly, Pirahna came flying through the hallway and tumbled to the floor.
"Pirahna!" Wolf and the others rushed to their friend. But then, a blur of black kicked Wolf across the jaw and leaped up in the air and stomped on Tarantula and nimbly ran up to Shark. Before anyone else could react, Shark was slammed by a barrage of karate chops and kicks, knocking Shark out cold. Snake tried to flee but the attacker grabbed him like a lasso and ran straight for Sasha!
Acting fast, Snare-oh captured the attacker. They dropped Snake and Blitzwolfer delivered a hard punch across the attacker's face. They fell to the floor, outcold and defeated.
When Rachel and the others saw who the figure was, they gasped. The Bad Guys managed to revive themselves and when they saw their attacker, they recognized her right away.
"DIANE?!" Wolf and his friends shouted.
It was. It was Diane dressed in a black hospital gown. She managed to struggle herself upright and when she opened her eyes, they were red and slitted. She growled. She actually growled as her fur bristled in anger.
"Whoa! Diane?!" Wolf couldn't believe it. Diane looked more enraged than Wolf has ever been in his life.
A zombie nurse rushed into the room. "Oh! You caught the patient! Thank ghoulness!" she panted before her eyeball fell out. Luckily, she caught it and popped it right back into her socket.
"What the heck happened to her?!" said Tarantula.
"She was bitten by a bitter bug." said the nurse, adjusting her eye back in. "Bitter bugs enter through a person's skin and feed on their negative emotions. When they stay in the body too long, the host goes into an uncontrollable rage!"
Sasha gasped. "That must have been what happened to Diane in the enchanted forest!" She blinked. "Wait a second! I think I understand my vision now! Wolf wasn't the evil foretold in my tea leaves! It was Diane!"
Wolf and everyone else stood there, completely stupefied. Well, except Esmerelda. She clapped her hands joyfully. "Excellent! Well done, Sasha!"
"Wait a sec!" Wolf stomped up to Esmerelda. "If you knew all this, then why didn't you say anything in the first place?!"
"I was busy!" Esmerelda retorted with a shrug. "Besides, if I told my students about their visions, then they wouldn't learn anything about clairvoyance! It's a very tricky subject."
"Guys! Can we focus on the crazed fox trying to bite off my wrappings?!" snapped Snare-oh. Diane was indeed trying to bite her way through the alien's bandages. Luckily, Snare-oh wrapped her snout shut.
"So, what? Do we need a magic spell to fix this or something?!" asked Shark.
Rachel shook her head. "Not that we know of. Nurse?"
The zombie nurse pondered. "Well, at the level of bitterness the patient is in. We either operate or eliminate the source of her rage."
"The source?!" said Sasha. "But what could cause Diane to go crazy like this?!"
Just then, two strong arms wrapped around Sasha from behind. The Bad Guys gasped when they saw what looked like another vampire. And he was grinning his fangs at Sasha!
"Hello, my sweet angel..." The vampire leaned into Sasha's ear. "of darkness."
Sasha gasped with joy. It was her beloved Whampire! "Honey!" Sasha threw her arms around the alien vampire and kissed very deeply.
Rachel shook her head as everyone else looked on in shock, including Wolf. But he noticed something about Diane. She stopped her growling and biting and stared at Sasha kissing this random guy. As she watched, the red in her eyes faded away! A small insect with a reddish glow flew out of Diane's neck and hovered above her.
"The bitter bug!" Rachel waved her wand and zapped the insect, making it explode.
"Ohhhh..."Diane groaned as she shook her head. "W-What happened?" A thermometer was suddenly jammed into her mouth by the zombie nurse.
"Save your breath, dearie!" The nurse checked Diane's pulse and felt her forehead. "Mama needs to run some tests!"
As the nurse jotted down notes on her clipboard, Wolf, who observed everything, finally realized what was the source of Diane's bitterness...and smiled.
