Hello there, everyone! I wrote a proper drabble! It's exactly 100 words excluding the title, as counted by Word. Do tell me what you think of it.
Dedicated to Malara, for being such a wonderful, wonderful reviewer, and whose reviews and comments always make me feel happy. Thank you.
Beneath the Stars
Why do you give me your love, Undómiel?
Will I ever be worthy of you?
Here, beneath the stars
upon Cerin Amroth
You turn away from the twilight.
For me.
Here, beneath the stars
upon Cerin Amroth
You make the choice that fair Lúthien once made.
For me.
Here, beneath the stars
upon Cerin Amroth
You give me my greatest joy.
And yet,
you give me my greatest sorrow.
For I will not have the light of my Evenstar fade
for the mere mortal
that I am.
But I love you, Undómiel.
And this I swear,
Here, beneath the stars.
Okay then. How was it? I felt it was sort of more poetry than prose, so I put it under the poetry section. But it's a bit weird. Anyway. I had my first exams today. They went well (touch wood). The rest are still to come…
Thank you very much to those who reviewed 'They Watched' and 'Wait for me, Galadriel'. I'm sorry I don't have time for individual responses, but know that the reviews were very much appreciated. I will leave you with yet another poem, but this one is much shorter ("Thank goodness!" I can hear you say). It's by Robert Frost. It's very simple, but I like it. And I thought it kind of went with the drabble…
Bye!

P.S. – I have finally updated my profile! Yay! It's no longer (as) silly as before.
Devotion
The heart can think of no devotion
Greater than being shore to ocean -
Holding the curve of one position,
Counting an endless repetition.
- Robert Frost
