Chapter 5 Worried Troupe

Tsukasa's POV

The Next Day

I was at my shoe locker when Toya walked up to me.

"Good morning, Tsukasa-Senpai", he greeted.

"Good morning, Toya", I greeted. "How is my kōhai doing this morning?"

"I'm doing fine", Toya replied. "Tsukasa-Senapi, Onii-San told me what he discussed with you yesterday."

"Did he now", I asked.

"Are…are you considering it", Toya asked.

"I…", I started. "I…I'm not sure. I need to get to class."

That Afternoon

I was having lunch with Rui outside of the school.

"Tsukasa-Kun", he started. "Are you okay?"

"But of course", I lied. "Why do you ask?"

"It's just…", Rui started. "After your talk with Aoyagi-San's older brother yesterday, it seems like something's been bothering you. You were so lost in thought that you were barely paying attention in class."

"I…", I started, unsure of what to say. "I…"

Before something could come out, Nene walked up to us.

"Nene", I started. "What brings you here?"

"What's been bothering you since yesterday", Nene asked.

"You too", I asked in annoyance.

"I asked Aoyagi-San about it", Nene revealed. "While he didn't tell me what's going on, he did confirm that something is up."

"Is that so", Rui started. "In that case, please tell us what's going on, Tsukasa-Kun."

"Yeah", I heard a familiar voice exclaim from behind me.

"Gah", I exclaimed before I shot up and turned around. "Emu?! What are you doing here?!"

"I was super duper worried about you, Tsukasa-Kun", Emu revealed. "So I came to see if you were okay!"

"Thank you for your concern", I started. "But you can't be here! Leave before someone sees you!"

"Not until Tsukasa-Kun tells us what's bothering him", Emu stated.

"Yeah", Nene agreed.

"Please, Tsukasa-Kun", Rui pleaded. "We're all very worried about you."

With that…I sighed in defeat.

Guess there's no point in hiding it any longer.

"Fine", I started. "Yesterday…Natsu suggested…that I attend his music school."

When I said this…everybody looked at me in shock.

"Attend his music school", Rui asked.

"But…", Nene started. "Isn't his music school in New York?

"Y…yes", I replied.

"What", Emu exclaimed. "Tsukasa-Kun's gonna go to New York?! But isn't that super duper far away?!

"Calm down, Emu", I reassured. "No decision has been made!"

"But", Nene started. "You're considering it?"

After Nene asked this, I looked down guiltily.

"Well…", I started. "Natsu has invited me to go to New York during Golden Week."

"Go to New York during Golden Week", Rui asked.

"Yes", I replied. "The theater program will be putting on their end of year show. Natsu thinks that seeing will help me with making a decision."

"So…", Nene started. "Are you going to go?"

"Natsu stills needs to discuss it with my parents", I revealed. "So I'll have to wait for their answer before making a decision."

After I said this…my troupe just looked at me in shock.

"I…", I started. "I should be heading back to class."
