Metropolis
It's a beautiful morning in Metropolis, traffic is bustling as normal on the bridge. A school bus was driving the kids to their school as on any normal day. A slight ricketing under the bridge starts to rattle the foundation and the bridge starts to collapse. Two cables disconnected from the top and the cars started crashing into each other. The bus is on the edge of falling.
In the distance, Bruce Wayne can see the people in danger so he goes over to his desk where he opened the statue of his butler Alfred where it revealed a button. Pushing the button a drawer opened up where he had his Bat Suit inside it. Before he could put it on, Bruce saw Superman and his proteges arriving on the scene.
Back at the bridge, Superman flew underneath the foundation lifting it back up and used his heat vision on the support beams to repair it.
Above him, Superboy arrived on the scene, but his arrival shook the bridge. To get there he jumped from cap to cap then landed hard on the concrete. Wasting no time Superboy grabbed a car and carried it to safety. Superboy then ran to the next car in trouble but he was too late and the car fell, fortunately, Supergirl was on the scene and caught it and put it back more on the bridge.
"Thanks," Superboy said relieved.
"Anytime." Supergirl smiled.
Superboy and Supergirl then saw the bus filled with children about to fall so he ran to it and grabbed it then began pulling it but suddenly the bus was lifted up. Not by Superboy or Supergirl. The one responsible was Superman.
He placed the bus safely on the bus as soon as the people were safe Superboy angrily approached Superman. "I had that."
"I thought we all had that? We made a good team, didn't we?" Supergirl tried to cheer the mood.
"I couldn't take that chance. As it is, your landing could have destabilized the entire bridge." Superman suggested to Superboy.
"It didn't." Superboy stated.
"Don't worry I made sure. The bridge was A-okay when he landed." Supergirl added.
"Regardless, it could have. We don't yet know the limits of your powers." Superman said.
"Well, maybe you could, you know, help me figure that out." Superboy suggested.
Superman looked away for a moment, "Batman and Supergirl have that covered." Superman dodged the suggestion.
"But Superman, he's your son, he's my cousin. You'd know more about his powers than me. We need-" Supergirl tried to back his cousin's case.
Before Superman could say anything he received a transmission. "Superman. Wait, Arrow. Slow down. What's attacking?... No, I'm definitely available. Coordinates? Acknowledged. On my way." Superman turned to the two, "Sorry Super… Boy, Supergirl. Duty calls. You two take care of eachother." Superman quickly flew away.
Superboy looked down for a moment and back out at Superman flying away.
"I'm sorry cousin." Supergirl tried to help him.
Superman's earpiece rung, "Already got the alert, bruce." Superman responded to Batman's call.
"I know, but we need to talk." Bruce called from his tower in Metropolis.
Mt. Justice
At Mount Justice, the team were all in the training room waiting for Black Canary. While they were waiting they played a game of holographic air hockey. Right now Wonder Boy and Kid Flash were neck and neck with holographic air hockey. Both had seven points and both needed one more point to win.
It seemed like Kid Flash was about to win but with one final hit Wonder Boy shot the puck into Kid Flash's hole and ended the match.
"Yes!" Wonder Boy cheered.
Kid Flash groaned, "Enjoy your victory, next game is mine."
"Looking forward to it, Wally." Trevor smiled and took a bow.
The zeta tube activated. "Recognized. Superboy, B-0-4, Supergirl, B-0-7."
"Hey guys, how was Metropolis?" Megan asked, but Superboy just walked past them not answering the question.
"It was… okay." Supergirl replied.
"Mhm! Ready for training, everyone?" Black Canary asked with Martian Manhunter beside her.
"Black Canary! Uncle J'onn!" Megan went over to the two and gave her uncle a hug.
"Megan, I was in the neighborhood. So I thought I'd see how you were adjusting." J'onn was curious.
"A few bumps, but I'm learning." Megan replied with Superboy watching the two.
"That's all I can ask." J'onn was proud of his niece.
Kara noticed Superboy leaving the room. She was worried about his cousin. Since he was freed from Cadmus Superman barely acknowledged his existence.
"Stick around, class is in session." Black Canary called to Superboy.
Black Canary walked up to the center of the room and the training ring lit up, "I consider it an honor to be your teacher. I'll throw a lot at you. Everything I've learned from my own mentor…" she removed her jacket to show her wound, "Uhh, and my own bruises."
"What happened?" Megan asked.
"The job. Now combat is about controlling conflict. Putting the battle on your terms. You should always be acting, never reacting. I'll need a sparring partner."
"Right here, yeah!" Wally held his hand.
"I got next." Wonder Boy called.
Wally was finishing his banana, "After this…" Wally threw his banana peel, "Swish, I'll show you my moves."
Trevor scoffed then whispered to Kara, "More like her moves, less than two seconds, wait for it."
Kara laughed.
Black Canary threw the first punch, which was blocked by Kid Flash, but he couldn't protect himself against her leg sweep.
"Ohh. Hurts so good." Kid Flash groaned in pain.
"Good block, but did anyone see what he did wrong?" Black Canary asked.
"Ooh, ooh, he hit on teacher and got served?" Robin's answer made Trevor and Kara break out laughing.
"Dude!" Wally whined.
"Oh I know, he didn't anticipate a counter attack." Trevor said, still laughing a bit.
"Which means he was reacting." Kara finished Trevor's answer between laughs.
"Correct, Kara, and you Trevor, you knew I'd take him out quickly. You wanted to be next, step up and put your money where your mouth is." Black Canary smiled at the kid.
"I'd be honored." Trevor walked into the ring and removed his hoodie.
"Act, don't react. Let's do this." Trevor held his fists up.
Trevor was the first to strike, he leapt towards black Canary but she easily dodged his attack. Wonder Boy then flew up and attempted a dive bomb punch only for Black Canary to deflect the punch him to the ground then put him in an arm lock. Trevor took his other hand on Canary's grip and counter-clock flipped out of the lock and resumed fighting stance.
The rush of adrenaline rose in him from that stunt, "Don't let the adrenaline get to you, just like mom taught me, breathe, and exhale."
The whole team was surprised by that move, even Superboy was shocked.
Black Canary smiled, she was impressed but not much, she's been going easy on him and he can tell. This time it was Black Canary to make the first strike she struck a punch to the right shoulder, but Trevor pushed it away, and followed with a kick to the face. The kick barely hurt her cheek, and now it was time to get serious.
Trevor was about to make another punch but Black Canary dodged but also snaked her arm around and threw him down on the ring. Sending him on his back.
"Oh Gods, oh that hurt." Trevor groaned.
"Thirty seconds, gotta say Trevor you're better than I thought. You have skill, but you have so much more to learn." Black Canary held a hand.
"C'mon, you were going easy on me, but right now, I wouldn't have it any other way," Trevor smiled as he took her hand to get up.
Black Canary looked to the kids, "Alright the difference between these two fights, Trevor was acting all through the fight, and kept the fight on his terms even when he was flying. Whereas Wally allowed me to dictate the terms of-"
"Oh please." Black Canary turned to Superboy, "With my powers, the battles always on my terms. I'm a living weapon, and this is a waste of my time."
"Prove it." Black Canary smiled.
Superboy stepped up and they both took a fighting stance.
Black Canary smiled as Superboy threw a punch only for her to grab her arm and throw him to the ground. Robin laugh but Kaldur elbowed him, despite him still laughing. Superboy growled angrily and got back up.
"You're angry, good, but don't react. Channel that anger into-" Black Canary was interrupted by Superboy's next attack. He tried going in for a punch only for Black Canary to jump over him and then do a leg sweep that sent him to the floor.
Robin laughed behind his hands, but Trevor was studying the way Superboy was fighting. He's troubled.
Megan and Kara were worried about him. The sign was written all over their faces and body language.
Black Canary walked over to Superboy and offered a hand to help him up. Unfortunately, he swatted the offer away. "That's it, I'm done."
"Training is mandatory." Black Canary reminded with a hand on his shoulder and swatted away.
Quickly after an alarm came on and Batman was broadcasting a line, "Batman to the cave. Five hours ago, a new menace attacked Green Arrow and Black Canary. The attacker was capable of studying, then duplicating the powers and abilities of its opponents." The video showed a robot with long ears and he was strong enough to throw Superman like a ragdoll, "Arrow called in reinforcements, which nearly proved disastrous as our foe gained more and more power with each new combatant."
"Whoa. One guy with the powers of the entire league?" Wally was astonished.
"Someone with all that power may as well be a god." Trevor commented.
"In the end, it took eight leaguers four hours to defeat, and dismantle the android."
"An android? W-who made it, T.O. Morrow?" Robin asked.
"Good guess, Robin. But Red Tornado doesn't think so." Batman answered.
The praise Batman is giving Rob struck a nerve with Superboy, and Kara noticed.
"The technology bears the signature of Professor Ivo." J'onn added to the discussion.
"Ivo? But Ivo's dead." Kaldur remembered the story.
"So we all thought or hoped." Black Canary added.
"To make certain this threat is permanently neutralized were sending two trucks carrying the androids parts to two separate STAR Lab facilities in Boston, and New York for immediate evaluation." The screen showed the team the map with the pinned locations. "Every precaution. Is being taken. We'll have four additional decoy trucks to create confusion in case I've, or anyone tries to recover the remains. You will split into undercover teams to safeguard the two real trucks."
"Yes! Road trip." Kid Flash cheered.
"Sounds like a walk in the park, I like it." Trevor crossed his arms with a smile.
"So now we take out your trash?" Superboy scoffed.
"You had something better to do?" Batman asked with that disappointing glare behind his mask.
"We'll get it done, sir, and… Please talk to… Him, please." Supergirl implied to her older cousin.
Batman just nodded.
"Coordinates received. On our way." Kaldur addressed.
The team made their way to the Zetatube, but Black Canary stopped Superboy for a moment, "When you're ready, I'll be here."
Superboy remained silent and just walked over to the rest of the team.
Litchfield County
In a small pot of land, the entire team was hidden in the treeline on the side of the highway. The League are overseeing the trucks while the team is prepping their bikes.
"Seriously? We have to be the ones to take the sidecars?" Trevor complained.
"Well you are both under thirteen." Robin reminded.
"Hey, I can ride a bike just as good as you can." Wonder Boy replied.
"Which is why if things go south, the bikes and sidecar can detach. You may feel like a sidekick in there, but don't worry. We're not sidekicks anymore." Robin offered a fist bump.
"Alright, at least it's not with Wonder Woman." Wonder Boy returned the fist bump and went to his designated sidecar with Aqualad.
"Supergirl, how're you holding up?" Aqualad asked.
"Not that I'm complaining like Wonder Boy, but I can fly faster than these things." Supergirl reminded everyone.
"And yet you're willing to stay beside a thing like me." Superboy indirectly insulted his predicament with Superman.
"Because you're family." Supergirl stood from her sidecar and gave Superboy a hug.
Star Labs workers were finishing loading the Amazo parts onto the trucks while Justice Leaguers kept an eye out for any threats. As they were Superman saw Superboy and Supergirl hiding in the trees with the others, the two noticed him too, but Superman just turned away. Superboy furrowed his brows then put on his helmet and started riding. Supergirl quickly put her helmet on as well and sat down in her seat.
The trucks were on the move now too and the team divided to follow the ones with the Amazo body parts.
The League took off in the skies. Superman was stopped by Batman, "I told you, we need to talk. Wonder Woman will be meeting us."
Superboy and Supergirl were riding next to Robin while he was passing the time with his usual rambling of grammar.
"If dislike is the opposite of like is disaster is the opposite of aster? See instead of things going wrong they go right." Robin explained.
"You are an exciting boy wonder, you know that?" Supergirl said sarcastically, looking bored under her helmet.
Superboy said nothing which earned him a look from Supergirl.
"Come to think of it, Robin, do you ever think how confusing it is when they call you Boy Wonder, when Wonder Boy is around?" Supergirl asked.
"Not really since only Batman calls me Boy Wonder." Robin replied then looked at Superboy. "Your clearly not feeling the aster. What's wrong?"
"Canary. And what business does she have teaching combat skills to a guy with superstrength?" Superboy asked.
"Taking down stronger guys is part of the gig. Canary learned that the hard way. Same with Batman and well, me."
"Also, didn't Wonder Boy kick your butt back at the Cadmus lab?" Supergirl asked.
Superboy revved up the gas, and rode faster.
Aqualad, Wonder Boy, Kid Flash, and Miss Martian were guarding their truck.
"Do you think Superboy's okay?" Miss Martian asked.
"I don't know, Superman treats him as if he doesn't exist. It's gotta be hard on him. At least Supergirl cares about him." Wonder Boy said, propping his feet up out of the sidecar, "You know this is actually pretty relaxing." Wonder Boy put his hands over his head and rested his worries.
"I wasn't reading his mind though, I swear, but anger flowed off him in waves." Miss Martian was truly worried about him.
Kid Flash chuckled, "Surf that wave. Just give him space." Kid Flash moved his bike closer, "Me? Stick as close as you want." He gave Miss Martian the come hither stare.
"You know every line of yours is very pathetic, I'm twelve and I could come up with better material than that." Wonder Boy boasted to Kid Flash.
"Oh well let's see you try, Wonder Brat." Kid Flash taunted.
"Alright… hey Miss Martian, Superboy's gonna be okay, whatever happens, he'll always have us, and he'll have you. Even if he thinks he doesn't need us." Wonder Boy spoke the truth that actually made Miss Martian smile, "Thanks, Wonder Boy, I needed to hear that."
"Take notes Flash Boy." Wonder Boy redirected the burn.
"Oh this is not over." Kid Flash pouted.
"Superboy just needs time to cool off. A quiet mission will clear his head." Aqualad deescalated the conversation between them.
Behind the team, the cornfields rattled and an army of green mechanized robots flew over to the truck.
"Robin, Superboy, Supergirl, our truck is under attack!" Aqualad called the other team.
"Kinda figured." Robin responded.
"Our truck's been compromised as well." Supergirl added.
"I got this." Wonder Boy ditched his helmet and flew straight into that horde of flying monkey bots. Landing atop the truck he quickly got to work in removing the robots from the truck. There were too many of them, they all swarmed him like fire-ants to their prey. Wonder Boy growled in pain, "There's too many!" He roared and ripped them all off, and flew off the truck to recover his mindset.
Robin, Supergirl and Superboy watched their truck go under attack by green and black robotic monkeys.
"I hate monkeys." Superboy glared
"Robot monkeys!" Robin laughed, "Totally Ivo's tweaked style."
Robin switched his bike to attack mode, but Superboy had no interest in doing this by the book.
"Hey, hey. Switch your ride to battle mode." Robin called over.
"No point." Superboy revved faster and jumped off his bike. Supergirl quickly flew out after.
"Or not!" Robin grappled to the truck as Superboy's bike crashed into Robin's.
Superboy smacked a few with his helmet on top of the truck. Robin kept the monkey's behind occupied. Supergirl flew up front to keep the monkeys from reaching the driver. Robin's overhead laser from his bike kept supporting him until Ivo's robots took it out crashing onto the road.
Superboy brushed them all off of him with a defective one still in his hand, but it certainly back on and shot a laser into his eyes, rendering him blind. A group of robots flew Superboy away at a high altitude and dropped him from above.
"Superboy!" Supergirl attempted to fly up and catch him but a robot monkey jumped on her face.
Superboy plummeted to the ground he couldn't see every time he tried to open his eyes hurt so he couldn't see. However, he may be blind for the moment but he can still hear. Taking the location point he jumped for the truck.
The others tried to keep their truck money free, Wonder Boy did his best to keep the monkeys off the truck but there were just so many of them.
"Hey, I could use some help here!" Wonder Boy called to the others as he crushed two monkey bots.
Aqualad called his water bearer and whipped away a few of the monkey bots, but a few jumped on the other's bikes so they quickly jumped off them and used their powers to stay with the truck.
Miss Martian jumped out of her bike and when Kid Flash was losing his grip on the throttle, he dropped out of the bike and ran over to keep up with the group.
Back on the truck the robo monkeys were trying to open the truck with their laser vision. Two of the soldiers inside fired their weapons, but they were quickly overwhelmed.
Miss Martian quickly backed up Wonder Boy and scattered the monkeys with her mind.
Kid Flash swatted away the robots on the right side.
Wonder Boy moved up front to clear the way for the driver.
The robots swarmed on Miss Martian, to the point she brought out multiple arms from herself to smack them all away. Kid Flash and Wonder Boy were about to take care of the robots inside the truck, but then Miss Martian arrived with all her arms out.
"WHOA!" Wonder Boy shouted causing him to lose balance and his concentration, the truck hit his shoulder but Wonder Boy quickly grabbed the metal part and pulled himself up to the roof. "OW! How about a warning next time you do that."
"Oh sorry," Miss Martian then flew over to check on Wonder Boy. "You okay?"
"I'm OK." Wonder Boy responded.
The moment of shock allowed the robots to cut open the back door and fly off with the parts.
Robin climbed up to the top, he noticed some of the monkeys were flying a guard high up in the air. Supergirl saw to him, leaving Robin to take care of the rest. He pulled out his Kali sticks and swatted away every monkey, one by one. More monkeys arrived from behind, and so did Superboy.
By the time Superboy arrived, two of the robots shot out the back tires, sending the truck on a whirl. Robin called to the driver, "GET OUT!" Robin grabbed the driver and dived into the cornfields.
The truck tumbled over upside down. The backdoor exploded with the robots taking the pieces with them. Leaving the two guards to fumble onto the road.
By the time Supergirl returned with the guard she went to rescue, the deed has already been dealt. They lost their pieces.
Furious and enraged, Superboy jumped after them, "Superboy!"
Supergirl quickly flew after him, leaving Robin on his own.
Over on Robin's comm link, the other team reported in, "Aqualad to Robin. We've lost our cargo. Did you-"
"It's gone, and so are my partners." Robin said in defeat.
"Aqualad to Superboy. Radio your position. We'll help you." Aqualad called Superboy.
"I don't need help. Don't want any." With that Superboy removed his earpiece.
"Supergirl to Aqualad, I'll back him up," Supergirl replied to the leader.
Back with team 2, the rest of the team kicked their wounds and reorganized their current priorities.
"What are we gonna do?" Wonder Boy asked, clutching his shoulder.
"M-maybe we should contact Red Tornado." Miss Martian nervously suggested.
"Tornado always tells us to handle things ourselves. And the mission can still succeed if we can recover the parts before they're reassembled." Aqualad said.
"Well that's a great plan except for the part about us not knowing where to look, and Wonder Brat here is hurt."
"Call me that again… I dare you." Wonder Boy threatened. "Besides it's just a sprain, I'll be fine." Wonder Boy put on his comms, "Robin I'm no tech expert but is there a way you can find Ivo's location from these robots?"
"Hey guys, something just occurred to me. How did these monkey-bots find us so quick? Were they tracking our trucks?" Supergirl asked on comms.
"Give these kids an A+, we'd have heard by now if the decoy trucks have been attacked. So these monkeys knew where to find us… Ha! The parts have GPS." Robin looked into the specs on these robots.
"Seriously? The League didn't think of searching for any of that?" Wonder Boy was astonished by the small overlook.
Robin resumed his explanation, "Anyway, the monkeys can track the signal which means I can track them with the one I captured. It looks like both sets are converging on… Gotham City."
"That far south? Megan, and I won't get there anytime soon. I'm sending Kid and Wonder Boy on ahead to meet you. Aqualad out." Aqualad looked at the two and they raced straight to Robin's location.
Robin called his bike to his location with the monkey over his shoulder, "Definitely a disaster, heavy on the dis."
Metropolis
The sun was setting in Metropolis. At a nearby diner, Clark Kent was sharing a booth with Bruce Wayne and Diana Trevor.
"Apple pie." Clark ordered.
"Strawberry cheesecake." Diana ordered.
"The Devil's food." Bruce ordered.
"Something tell me this isn't about desert." Clark guessed.
"You're right this isn't." Diana answered sitting beside Clark on the outside
"The boy needs you." Bruce went straight to the point.
"No. He needs you. He needs Red. He needs Kara. I'm just a constant reminder of who he's not." Superman denied.
"Clark, you know that's not true." Diana argued.
Clark looked over at the two.
"Look I know he troubles you, but he's here, and you need to get over the how and why. Trust me on this, this boy needs his father." Bruce stood firm in the tone of his voice on the matter.
"I'm not his father." Clark couldn't leave due to Diana blocking his way. Of course, he can get out with no problem but the people here will know what he is.
"I'm sorry, Clark but we need to talk about this." Diana reminded him.
Diana put her hand on Clark's shoulder, easing his tension.
"Even Kara's worried about you both, this is serious," Bruce added.
"Fine." Clark breathed out the bad feelings inside him.
Gotham City
The robot monkeys brought both crates of the Amazo android to an oncoming train but Superboy and Supergirl were right behind them. They landed on one of the coaches, Superboy then ripped open a hole on the roof then jumped down. The two landed to see a man and the monkey robots assemble the pieces.
"Oh, hello." A small man greeted the two.
"You? You're Ivo? I'm whelmed." Superboy started to talk like Robin.
"Big brain, scrawny man, easy." Supergirl said.
"You're one to talk. Now since when does the big blue boy scout have brats?" Ivo asked.
"He doesn't." Superboy became angry.
"Have you met my mobile optimal neural quotient infiltrators?" Ivo asked.
"Monqi?" Supergirl asked.
The bots flew over to the two. Keeping them occupied, Ivo became disappointed, "Ah, and after all the trouble I went through finding an acronym for MONQI." Ivo noticed a decapitated robot head dropping near him. Walking over to his desk he rebuilt his android.
The two started catching their breath, and it wasn't getting easy.
"Accessing Captain Atom." Amazo spoke.
Superboy was then hit with an atomic blast. Supergirl then got hit with another blast, "Since Professor Ivo's magnificent MONQI's don't float your boat. Maybe my amazing Amazo will better suit you two. Or better slay you two."
Superboy wiped his mouth and said. "Give it your best shot."
"Superboy?" Supergirl was hesitant.
A couple of MONQI's giggled behind Ivo.
"Please. My android has the strength of Superman. What chance do you two have?" Ivo mocked the two kryptonian kids.
Superboy charged at the Amazo only for it to deflect each of his attacks.
"Oh sorry, did that strike a nerve. Amazo strike a few more." Amazo went all in on beating Superboy.
Supergirl was frozen stiff until Amazo threw her cousin directly at her, both of them crashed into the back of the car.
"Access Black Canary." Amazo shouted at them the same as the original Black Canary. The two were sent all the way to the back.
"Access Flash." Amazo ran over to the two with superspeed and beat the both of them down into submission.
"Superboy." Supergirl grumbled amidst the overbearing pain, "I'm scared."
"Oh, no wonder daddy keeps you two hidden away. Neither of you are really doing justice to the old S shield, are you?" Ivo laughed.
Superboy attempted to punch the Amazo only for it to use Martian Manhunter's density-shifting ability.
Amazo punched Superboy again and this time he flew out of the car and crashed into a bulldozer. Supergirl finally broke out of her fear and tried to fight Amazo, but she was stopped easily when Amazo caught her by the face.
Flipping out into the open, Amazo carried Supergirl, "Access Superman." Amazo grabbed Superboy by the neck and smacked him with Supergirl and they both went flying into the sky and crashing into a school.
Superboy reached for Supergirl, held her tight as they braced for impact.
Back on the train Amazo looked at Ivo. "Finish them. Priority Alpha."
Robin was approaching Gotham city limits in the remaining half of his bike, just then Kid Flash and Wonder Boy came up right next to him back in their equipment. Kid Flash was speeding next to Robin, while Wonder Boy was flying next to them, "So you both changed too?"
"You kidding." Kid Flash shivered. "I feel naked in civvies."
"Robin, you still tracking the parts?" Wonder Boy asked flying closer to robin.
"They were heading through Gotham but they veered." Robin then got a lock on the location of the Amazo parts. "Wait. Dude, they're at my school."
Wonder Boy groaned at the mention of school. "Great, looks like we're going to school."
Superboy and Supergirl crashed in a wall of trophies. Amazo hauled them both up and threw them across the hall. Superboy crashed into a few lockers whereas Supergirl slid on the floor.
They got back up and Superboy noticed an open locker with a drawing of Superman. Glaring at the drawing he punched the locker and went back to Amazo along with Supergirl. They bot tried to strike a blow to him but he caught them both and punched them straight into the chemistry lab. The wall cushioned them both but it wasn't enough.
"That… all you got?" Superboy spat.
"Access Captain Atom." Amazon shot the two with another atomic blast.
Both were shot out into the basketball gym.
Picking themselves up, the two heard clapping. Looking up at the stair line they saw Ivo with two of his MONQI's, "I don't usually attend these things in person," Ivo chuckled a moment, "But this was too good to miss."
"Access Superman." Amazo was still standing.
Superboy and Supergirl put up the fight for as long as they could but the Amazo is too powerful. Both of them were really tired and beaten. Amazo picked them both up by the neck and was about the finish them off. But Kid Flash and Wonder Boy came in and snatched both of them out of the Amazo's hands.
"Don't worry, we got you." Wonder Boy said carrying Supergirl.
"T-Trevor?" Supergirl was exhausted.
"Shh, rest, and we're still on duty." Trevor hushed his teammate.
"Sorry." Supergirl tried to smile.
Trevor placed her on the other bleachers and then rushed back into combat.
Robin threw a birdarang at Amazo only for him to density shift. "Access Red Tornado."
Amazo then flew over to them then easily blew them all away with Red Tornado's powers. Superboy and Robin were sent into the bleachers, Wonder Boy crashed into the floor, and Kid Flash was slammed into the wall.
Amazo approached Kid Flash. "Access Captain Atom."
Amazo fired an atomic blast but Kid Flash quickly sped away before the blast could hit him. Kid Flash emerged from the other side of the bleachers but Amazo saw him. "Access Black Canary."
Amazo let out another sonic scream that sent Kid Flash flying into the wall. Superboy attempted to fight but the Amazo quickly repelled with Superman's powers. Robin threw more birdarangs only for Amazo to block the with martian manhunters powers.
Kid Flash raced over to give it a punch but he caught him and squeezed him tight, "Superman." Amazo squeezed tight but in the dark, Amazo heard a line drawback, "Martian Manhunter." Amazo density shifted to avoid an arrow, which also caused him to drop Kid Flash.
Wonderboy swooped down but Amazo was too quick. He threw him to the wall completely dazed, "Access Captain Atom." Amazo charged a shot from his hand.
"NOOOO!" Suddenly Supergirl's eye colors changed to pure red then two lasers came from her eyes and shot straight into Amazo's hand. The moment of astonishment from Supergirl was all he needed to bail out of the struggle.
"Impressive, but destroying one arm won't save you children." Ivo commented.
"Access Black Canary." Amazo said when Superboy tried to land a punch from behind and threw Superboy to the bleachers.
Robin threw a few more birdarangs, but Amazo ducked under, "Superman." Amazo's eyes grew red and Kid Flash sped over to get Robin out of the blast radius.
Superboy took a moment to notice Amazo is truly impossible to defeat head on, "Access Black Canary." Superboy groaned.
"Oh yawn. Normally, Amazo would study and mimic your abilities during battle, but whats the point? You're all such poor copies of the originals." Ivo yawned at the kids performance.
Suddenly Superboy came up with an idea, "So everyone keeps saying. It makes me angry!" Superboy launched not at Amazo but at Ivo. He moved out of the way just in time, "Want to see me channel that anger?"
"Great he's gone ballistic again." Kid Flash was getting worried.
"Maybe not." Robin is seeing what Superboy's doing.
"Amazo is indestructible, but Ivo isn't." Wonder Boy realized.
"Amazo, protect your master. Priority Alpha." Ivo rushed in fear away from Superboy.
Superboy slammed back down at the bleachers, but missed Ivo again.
"Captain Atom." Amazo fired another shot from his other hand and shot directly at Superboy
Ivo was assisted by his two remaining MONQI's until Robin snuck from behind, "Anyone wanna play keep-away?" Robin kicked Amazo from in the air.
Wonderboy and Supergirl both went for the last two MONQI's, and crushed them out of commission.
"Ooh me! Me!" Kid Flash ran over for Ivo.
"Access Superman." Amazo stomped his foot down to cause a rumble. Knocking Kid Flash away from him and in the air.
Robin threw another birdarang quickly to get Amazo to density shift.
From above Superboy and Supergirl jumped in front of Amazo and paid their fists in his phased head and chest, "Superman." Amazo switched his powers and debase with Superboy and Supergirl's fists still inside. The reaction caused Amazo to explode.
Amazo fell to the floor with Robin running over to him, "Help me disassemble him now!"
"Dude, the guy has no head, and stomach." Kid Flash pointed out
"Cut off the head of the snake and the body dies." Wonder Boy added.
Just then the doors blasted open to show Aqualad and Miss Martian.
"Don't take any chances." Aqualad raced over.
Miss Martian flew over to a different problem, "Superboy, are you alright?"
"I'm fine. Feeling the aster." Superboy looked over at Robin.
"I owe you one Supergirl." Wonder Boy said, hugging her in thankfulness.
"You saved me first so I'd say we're even." Supergirl replied returning the hug.
"Fair." Wonder Boy smiled. "And you used laser eyes, can you do that again?"
Supergirl struggled to focus but nothing was happeneing, "Nah, I can't do it again."
"How'd you do it before?" Trevor asked.
"Well I saw you, you were about to die, and I just felt so much rush into me I just let it out." Supergirl tried to explain.
"A rush of adrenaline I suppose, dopamine fills the brain. You were afraid." Trevor realized.
"Yeah… I was. I didn't want you to die." Supergirl realized.
"Well I…" Trevor began to blush a little. Looking away from Supergirl.
"Hey, where's Ivo?" Kid Flash asked, alerting the whole team to look but he's long gone now.
Mount Justice
"The Amazo Android is in pieces again safely being analyzed at the two separate STAR labs, but Ivo escaped and since he originated the tech he's arguably more dangerous than the android." Aqualad addressed to the League.
"Capturing the professor will be a league priority." Black Canary said.
"But we understand your mission encountered other complications." J'onn addressed.
Batman walked up to the team, "Complications come with the job. Your ability to handle them has impressed the league."
"The whole League?" Superboy asked.
"Given time, yes. He'll come around. Kryptonians, as you know have very hard heads." Batman assured him.
Superboy looked over at Kara and smiled. She gave him a thumbs up, and a smile.
"Of course, there's no shame in asking for help. That's why the league exists, because there are some problems even we can't handle individually."
"Please if we needed help we'd never get the chance to ask. Look familiar? You were following us! Babysitting! You still don't trust us."
"We didn't follow you." Batman assured as Green Arrow pulled out one of his arrows to compare them.
"And that's not your arrow, but that means-" Robin smiled.
"Speedy! He has our backs." Wally realized.
"He has our backs." Aqualad smiled.
Unfortunately, Trevor wasn't sure, "Green Arrow, may I?"
"Sure kid." Green arrow gave Trevor a closer look at the arrow, the tail down at the bottom is green, and the head was different from the others. "This wasn't Speedy, he uses Red Arrows, not green." Trevor handed the arrow back to Green Arrow.
Kid Flash grabbed the arrow, "Don't care Wonder Brat, you're wrong on this, souvenir."
"Yeah, definitely not quick upstairs." Trevor walked away from the front and went back to stand beside Robin and Aqualad.
Batman and Green Arrow looked at each other in curiosity.
Black Canary noticed Superboy approach her, "I'm ready."
"Good. Because I'm here." Black Canary assured.
All of a sudden Kara hopped on Superboy's back, "Not without me your not, cousin." She smiled wide hanging over Superboy.
"After our fight with Amazo, I can't imagine you anywhere else... At least I have you." Superboy smiled in return.
"Love you too cousin." Supergirl responded.
"Alright you two let's go." Canary escorted the two Kryptonians to the training ring.
