Mr Heartache Chapter 3: Hello, Mr Heartache, an inuyasha fanfic

Inutori: Once again I'm writing another chapter before actually posting the other two. But they will all be up soon enough!

Chapter 3
Hello, Mr. Heartache

Kagome flopped onto the couch with the scrapbook, still skimming its pages with longing. There was still a considerable amount of room at the end of the book for her to add to, but with Inuyasha gone, what would be the point?

Hello Mr. Heartache I've been expecting you

The hollow feeling in her chest wouldn't go away, and the tears hiding just behind her eyelids stung uncontrollably. Her longing to be with the man she loved only tore at her soul, ripping it apart further with ever passing moment.

When I don't feel like company
You make yourself at home
Even though you know
I'd rather be alone
Love walked out on me
And didn't even close the door
Next thing I know I'm starin'
At your shadow on the floor

She brought her knees up and tucked them under her chin, her arms folding over them to keep them in place. "I'm acting like such a school girl. I should have talked to him." Kagome closed her eyes, reluctant to reopen them to face the world.

The feeling that her whole life had been shattered overwhelmed her, and Kagome silently reminisced on the last time she had broken up with someone; only Hojou had only been her boyfriend, not her husband.

I wish that I could say it's nice
To see you back again
We're not exactly strangers
But we're not exactly friends
You know you're not invited but
You keep on comin' round
The last thing that I need is you
To kick me when I'm down

Inutori: This was a really short chapter, but basically it was to give people the idea of how broken Kagome is over this. Chapters 5 and 6 will probably be fairly long. So don't fret over this one! (or chapter 4 if it's short)
Kagome: I somehow doubt they were fretting. Now will you just kill Kikyou so I can have Inuyasha?
Inutori: Who says the supermodel is Kikyou?
Kagome: Because she's always the one messing up my life when it comes to Inuyasha.
Inutori: Keh.
