Inutori: I don't own Inuyasha or the song Sin Wagon, so go read the chapter.

Chapter 5
Sin Wagon

Kagome pulled groceries off of the shelf and put them in her cart. It had been almost a month since she had moved back to Tokyo, and she was not about to go back any time soon.

While rounding a corner, Kagome's cart collided with someone else's. And when she looked, Kagome saw that it was her doctor from Kyoto.

"K-Kouga-kun?" Her eyes widened in surprise at finding Kouga in a supermarket in Tokyo.

"Ohayo, Kagome-san." He smiled brightly at her, apparently recognizing her from her visit a month previously. She had switched hospitals when she moved so hadn't seen him since she had left.

"What are you doing in Tokyo?" Her head tilted to the side slightly in her confusion.

He seemed to shrug lightly before he responded. "I just got transferred here from Kyoto now that they have their required number of employees. Tokyo has always been home for me."

Kagome smiled sheepishly at him, embarrassed at her own stupidity. "I grew up in Tokyo too."

"Kagome-san, I know you're suffering right now, but would you do me the honor of accompanying me tonight for dinner?"

The raven-haired actress blinked in surprise. A date was the last thing she expected. She was married…and Kouga knew better than anyone that she was expecting. But being married didn't stop Inuyasha from dating someone else…

He pushed me 'round now I'm drawin' the line
He lived his life now I'm gonna live mine
I'm sick of wastin' my time

"I would love to, Kouga-kun." Kagome smiled at the blue-eyed man warmly, a certain air of mischievousness flowing through her veins.

"Great, then would you mind meeting at the Sunset Shrine at seven?"

Kagome almost burst out in laughter. "Kouga-kun, I'm living at the Sunset Shrine right now!"

He smiled even wider with her information. "That's even better. Then I'll be there at seven."

Kagome sighed lightly as Kouga left, wondering silently to herself where she'd be going. No drinking for her, she was pregnant after all, so she would prefer not to go to a bar.

Back in her bedroom, Kagome sifted through her clothes, pulling out a knee-length dress with little to no sleeves and a v-neckline.

Well now I've been good for way too long
Found my red dress and I'm gonna put it on
'Bout to get too far gone

Inuyasha threw down the magazine in his anger. There she was, on the front cover, smiling gleefully with another man's arm wrapped around her. What was she thinking? She was married! His fists clenched and unclenched as he stood there, glaring at the paper booklet lying motionlessly on the floor as if willing the picture to change.

"Inuyasha, hun, what's bothering you?" The black-haired model sauntered over to him and draped her arms over his shoulders. She nuzzled his neck and purred. The magazine was in plain view on the floor. "Don't let that schoolgirl get to you. She's not worth it."

The playboy hanyou wasn't even paying attention to the beautiful girl just behind him. He was in his own little realm where no one could reach him.

First she kicked him out of the house for no reason at all then she goes gallivanting around with a new boyfriend in tow. They weren't even divorced yet!

This caused Inuyasha to pause in his silent racing. Neither of them had even bothered filing for a divorce as far as he knew, and yet neither had seen the other in over a month except in pictures.

What was going on between them? It was as if their whole existence in each others' lives had become non-existent. With a sigh, he fell back into hisgirlfriend's small armsand closed his eyes. Now that he thought about it, he wasn't exactly waiting for Kagome to come around either.

He could almost say that he missed her…no…he didn't…he didn't care what Kagome did with herself.

His head found its way into his hands and he growled in his frustration. He didn't know what to think anymore; this was all too much.

"Inuyasha, calm down. You're making me feel bad." Brown eyes looked down at him in a pout, pale pink lip jutting out pathetically.

Summer was coming, and Kagome was starting to slightly show that she was pregnant. She was worried about Inuyasha finding out now that she was happily dating Kouga to pass the time.

But what was she waiting for, anyway?

It wasn't until Kouga came up with his ingenious plan that Kagome's worries were laid to rest. There would no longer be the worry of Inuyasha showing up at her doorstep demanding custody of her precious baby.

"Miss Jidai, is it true that you are pregnant?" The reporter shoved the microphone into Kagome's mouth, irking the young actress some. She had just walked out of a recording studio where the last minute filming was being done.

"Yes." She elbowed past the first person and toward Kouga who was there to pick her up. That morning she was so sick that she wouldn't have been able to drive herself so Kouga had been a gentleman and drove her.

"And could you tell us who the father is?" Didn't these reporters ever stop asking questions?

Kagome looked into the eyes of Kouga standing only a few feet away and partially blocked by the journalists. "Ookami Kouga." She hated lying, but she really didn't want Inuyasha to know that he was a soon-to-be-father.

"When is the child due?"

"No comment." Kagome shoved her way through the rest of theswarm of nosy journalists with Kouga's assistance and they both climbed into his truck to escape the queries.

"Don't worry about them Kagome, they'll just twist anything you say anyway." Kouga smiled at Kagome and rubbed her back in comfort.

With a sigh, Kagome leaned into Kouga and closed her eyes gently for a moment. Filming was already beginning for the next movie she would star in even though the last one was just finishing up, and with the pregnancy, she was feeling extremely worn out lately.

'I miss Inuyasha.' Her eyes snapped open. Now where had that thought come from? No, she wouldn't miss Inuyasha, he had betrayed her. With a deep breath, she smiled dimly, knowing that she was free of the silver-haired man forever. 'But do I want to be free?'

Where were these thoughts coming from? Kagome rubbed her stomach without even realizing it and contemplated what was going on with her life.

Kouga pulled away from the production studion slowly, not feeling the need to flatten the paparrazi flashing their cameras at the truck. Kagome looked out the window sadly, trying to sort out the turmoil in her head to no avail.

She was approaching her third trimester of the pregnancy and so far she had had no complications, so that wasn't a worry for her. It was Inuyasha. The stale tears she thought she had dried so many months ago threatened to stain her cheeks once more.

Once again Inuyasha found himself throwing down a publication as he saw an article on Kagome in the Entertainment section. There her picture was again, smiling gently at the camera, her red lips full and her eyes bright with a true happiness.

The headline this time was: 'Kagome Jidai Pregnant!'

He felt a pain inside him as he thought about Kagome and her unborn child. With a huff he bent down to pick up the paper to read. Might as well find out what his wife has been up to lately.

A twitch started in his right eye as he read the article. So Kagome was having this Kouga's child, aye? Perhaps it was time he stepped into the picture again.

Inutori: I only used the first couple lines of the song since it didn't really fit the chapter THAT well. The song talked about her going out and getting drunk, and while Kagome's pregnant she shouldn't be doing that.
Kagome: I shouldn't be doing that period.
Inuyasha: Stop complaining woman.
Kagome: Osuwari
Inutori: Next chapter will be the last, but I may not start writing it until this chapter is posted. Please review and tell me what you think.
