Sagi: Inutori's tired right now, so maybe we could all give her a break just this once.
Inutori: Just this once?! So you mean to tell me that you're going to sue about the rest of my fanfics?!
Sagi: Why not? Fluffy's lawyer is making me pay for his hospital bills, so I need to earn a few extra bucks.
Inutori: But does it have to be at my expense?

Chapter 6
Hole in My Head
Kagome groaned internally as the doorbell rang downstairs. No one else was home so she'd have to get it…eventually. Rubbing her inflated stomach, Kagome stood and meandered down the stairs to where her unexpected guest was.
"Probably Kouga coming to check up on me." She reached the door and paused. No, Kouga was in the ER today. Kagome shrugged her shoulders and opened the door, only to reveal a tall young man with long silvery-white hair.
"I-Inuyasha?" She felt her breath catch and a lump begin to grow in her throat. "What are you doing here?" Her knees were weak and the actress knew that she was going to collapse right then and there.
"What, not glad to see me, wench?" Inuyasha crossed his arms and glared steadily at the pregnant woman.

Kagome bit her lip in hesitation. She hadn't seen Inuyasha in nearlysix months. No phone calls, no e-mails…not that she checked her account just to see if he did or anything…and he just shows up on her front step out of the blue. Her heart beat quickened and the gears in her head turned like clockworks.
"Are you going to invite your husband in or not, woman?" He just had to keep insulting her, didn't he?
Letting out her breath, Kagome attempted to keep her cool and just live out his untimely visit. "Hai, hai. Come on in." She stepped aside in a manner as if to mock him and gestured with her hand for him to enter.
With a grunt Inuyasha stepped inside, removing his shoes then heading to the living room.
"So what brings you here, husband of mine? Your girlfriend dump you for someone better? Maybe a bachelor?" Kagome followed after Inuyasha with an expression of anger clearly written across her face.

"Shut up, Kag. I came here to see you!" The words were touching, really, if you just removed the harsh tone they were spoken in and the obvious anger in his eyes.
He had used the pet name he had given her on their honeymoon. Kagome swallowed; not sure how much more she could handle while resisting the urge to throw herself into her 'ex'-lover's arms. "What for?" The shakiness in her voice was obvious, but Kagome hoped Inuyasha would be too stupid to take notice. What if he came expecting her to sign some divorce papers or something? She didn't think she could handle that.
"I see you flaunting around Tokyo with some lowlife scumbag and you think I wouldn't pay a visit?"
The anger in his voice shot at Kagome like daggers and one thought came to mind: he's jealous.

She felt slightly comforted by that thought, knowing that Inuyasha stilled cared about what she did with herself. "I don't see me crawling back to you when you have some bimbo hanging off of your shoulder!" Even if she felt comforted, that didn't stop her from being angry with the star.
"That's different!" Inuyasha scowled at her, falling back onto the couch and glaring at his 'wife'.
"Oh really? I don't see any difference. Please, do tell what it is!" Kagome's eyes flared up with an untapped hatred that sprang to life with Inuyasha's two words.
"Keh."
Kagome would have laughed in any other situation because of his lame answer, but at the moment it just made her roll her eyes in frustration. "Maybe I started dating Kouga so I could compete with Mr. High and Mighty who already had an extra-marital relation?"
"Honto ne?" Inuyasha looked up at her with hopeful eyes, drastically contrasting the look he had just been giving her.

That got her. His look of innocence and hope made her crack slightly and pretty soon her entire wall would shatter in front of her eyes.
Kagome looked away from Inuyasha and spoke quietly, "I was jealous, and I decided that since you were dating, that I would too."
Inuyasha stood up abruptly and pulled Kagome into a crushing hug. He buried his face in the crook of her neck and Kagome could feel all of Inuyasha's muscles relaxing significantly.

After a moment or two, Kagome brought her arms up and returned the hug that Inuyasha had hastily bestowed upon her.
"I missed you, Kag."
She felt a slight wetness on her neck and was surprised to realize that Inuyasha was crying. Inuyasha, the cocky, egotistical, arrogant jerk was crying.
Kagome breathed deeply and closed her eyes, enjoying their close contact after so long of being apart.
It must have knocked me crazy

Kouga walked up the steps of the Sunset Shrine, making sure he could remember exactly how he was going to say it. When he knocked on the door, no one answered, but when he twisted the handle, he discovered it was unlocked.
"Kagome won't mind." So with that thought, Kouga let himself into the humble home of his Kagome.
It was quiet all through the house, so Kouga began checking in all of the rooms to find Kagome. She knew that he was coming, so where was she?
He heard a giggle from upstairs and realized that Kagome must still be in bed. The pregnancy had beentough for her and she was sleeping all the time.
Figuring he would surprise her, Kouga snuck up the stairs and stopped just before her door.
"That tickles, stop that!" He could hear Kagome's soft giggling penetrating through the door, and so without a moment's hesitation, Kouga swung open the door to reveal himself to…Kagome and another man.

Kagome jerked her head up when the door swung open and she felt her blood freeze when she saw Kouga's eyes. Inuyasha was cuddled to her, with his dog-like ear pressed to her belly, listening to the baby. It probably looked so wrong in Kouga's eyes.
"Kouga-kun, I can explain!" Kagome frantically tried to get off the bed, but with Inuyasha on top of her that was nearly impossible. She looked down quickly to see that Inuyasha hadn't moved from his position; the only change being that his eyes were trained on Kouga.
"There's no need to explain anything to me, my Kagome. I understand well that this stalker was trying to force you to sleep with him."
The side of Kagome's mouth twitched, what Kouga had said was just bizarre.

Inuyasha stood up slowly and deliberately, glaring at the intruder that had interrupted the time he was spending with Kagome. Then his anger doubled when he recognized the man that stood before him as the father of his wife's child.
"So you're Kouga." It was more of a statement than a question.
"And who're you, dog breath?" Kouga snarled at Inuyasha, clenching his fists angrily.
"I'm Inuyasha Jidai. I have every right to kill you right now for sleeping with MY wife." Inuyasha moved into a fighting stance, breathing deeply in his anger.
Kagome's breathing behind him quickened, indicating her fear. "I didn't sleep with him, Inuyasha."
Her words from behind him brought his blood to the point of almost boiling. "Oh, then how are you pregnant? Get his semen injected? I don't see why you'd do that."
The raven-haired actress stood up and moved to block the two men's view of each other. "It's not his kid, Inuyasha-"
"Who's is it then? Another boyfriend's?"
"Just listen to me and don't cut me off!" Kagome huffed angrily and pulled on one of the locks of hair that fell in front of his shoulders.
"Why should I? Just so I can let you defend wolf-brains over there?" Inuyasha flinched slightly from the pain, but kept his angry outlook.
"Because I'm carrying your child!"
Inuyasha's mouth clamped shut and his eyes widened as he stared at his wife. "N-nani?"
"The kid I've been carrying around is yours, you dolt. And if you took your head out of your rear end for a moment you'd know that!"
"But the articles said-"
"Who cares what the articles say? Tabloids bend the truth anyway, don't they?"
"Keh." Inuyasha folded his arms and looked away towards a side wall, not willing to meet Kagome's piercing gaze.

"Kagome's still my woman, dog breath." Kouga wrapped an arm around Kagome's shoulders, causing her to jump in surprise and let go of Inuyasha's hair.
Inuyasha's golden eyes forcibly collided with Kouga's, challenging him to repeat that statement. "Kag doesn't belong to anyone."
Kagome gave Inuyasha a warm smile at that comment, her grateful eyes meeting with his. His eyes narrowed as he saw Kouga's grip on Kagome visibly tighten, causing Kagome to wince. "I said she's mine. Leave now."
"And I'm telling you to let go of her before you force me to hurt you." Inuyasha's growl reverberated across the bedroom, not wavering in the slightest.
Kouga showed no sign of releasing Kagome, and just before Inuyasha lunged at them, Kagome managed to pull herself from Kouga's grip and run into Inuyasha's welcome arms.
She turned around purposefully with Inuyasha's arms holding her in a comfortable embrace. The two of them fit together perfectly, proving that they were truly meant for each other. "I'm sorry Kouga-kun, but Inuyasha came back…and well…I want to be with him."
Inuyasha gave Kagome a gentle, reassuring squeeze while glaring at Kouga with all of the anger he could muster; which was quite a lot.

Eventually, they got Kouga to leave, giving Kagome and Inuyasha a chance to resume what they had been doing before…trying to see if Inuyasha's superb hearing would allow him to hear the unborn child.
"Ite! The little brat kicked my ear!"
